Are you regular?

I am curious. Am I the only one who isnt regular. My system is very strange. Im lucky if I go once every four days. My mom and sisters are the same way. Others I know are going up to two times a day. Everything with me is normal I just dont have to go daily. Im just curious on how everyone else goes. Im just niosy ok. dl

I just join mylot very recently so i can't consider myself as a regular.Maybe after a month or so I will be a regular in mylot.

Everyone's body is different. I believe you are suppose to go daily but not everyone does. It depends on what you have to eat or drink too. That will determine how often you go. I used to not go everyday either but I do now except its hard for me to go. I know that's too much information but that's really the only way I can explain it. If it starts to hurt too much and you are still having problems going, then definitely go to the doctors. It may not be a serious condition but if you are that concerned, the doctor will give you the results and what you can do to prevent it. I worry a lot about my health and most of the time its really in my head. Going to the doctors though, will ease your mind. Good Luck!

You need to drink more water and have more fiber in your diet. It should not be so painful, and it will not be if you are adequately hydrated. Have a large glass of water at night before bed. You will probably have to get up to do the other thing, but in the morning it will help things. Drink a couple glasses in the morning and have some veggies or fruit or both with breakfast.

no,i'm the same way..it's slow metabolism.
my brother on the other hand you could set a watch to.
which is good,because i sure know when to clear out before he gets in there.the boy is a one man stink bomb.

I use to be regular but continued bad eating habits coupled with certain medications taken on a regular basis made me not only irregular but made it very difficult and painful when I did go. I know kept the toilet plunger manufacturers in business . I say that in the past tense because I did start making changes to my diet but it was not until I started taking a probiotic product that I began to become regular again. It took about a week to get me going but it was well worth it. I don't want to say what the product is on here because I don't want to be accused of trying to promote it, and besides you probably could use a local one but if you are interested in what I am using PM me. For the record, I do not sell the product nor do I benefit in any way from it's sale, I am simply a satisfied consumer.

I'm only doing it once a day. Is that healthy or still not good enough?
Once in every four days that's bad, I think. Try changing your diet Miss dl and monitor it once again

Every 4 days is a long time.
I will go 2 or 3 times in a day.
We have porridge and fruit in the mornings and if we eat something different instead, the regularity begins to lose out.
Definitely fresh fruit and vegetables will help.

I am the same way. I was speaking to my doctor several years ago and he said not to worry about it. Then later in hospital I told the nurse also that I hadn't been to the bathroom since being admitted to hospital several days earlier and she said not to worry about it either.
Nothing happened to me and I felt fine, so if the professionals are saying that then I definitely won't worry. I will only worry if I had pain and then I would have to get it seen to, because that could mean there was a blockage in the bowel. _Derek

now that i take enzymes with my food (i apparently wasnt getting nutrients from the food so it was going right through me) i went like every day.. now that i am on the enzymes so i actually absorb nutrients im about the same as you if not less.. so i drink the benefiber drinks to keep it more in balanced.. their strawberry kiwi taste great!! even then its maybe 1-3 times a week so not a huge improvement..

If you mean your bowel movement then I do it everyday. I noticed that If i drink the exact amount of water I need everyday I get to do it once daily. My sister has the same problem too but know she drinks milk daily and she gets to do it everyday. I guess it really depends. You should get a check up if you feel funny.

i think it has something to do with diet. the normal is once or twice a day...you should eat more fibrous food, green leafy vegetables and eat less bread..drink more water too. no harm in trying unless you're ok with once in 4 days ^^

I've been taught since childhood that one must go daily and clean-up the system. The problem occurs with me from time to time so I keep treating with home remedies, for example, I make it a point that papaya is always in stock at home. Even if I eat a small piece, it helps me. Secondly, first thing in the morning i do is, drink 2-3 glass of water followed by a cup of tea. If I don't do all this, my chances of going are bleak. If I don't go in the morning any day, then whole day I don't feel fresh...so I've to put up an extra effort ....have a great day!!!

I think going once in every 4 days is normal. Just that you feel stress up and you can't go, that's the root problem.
For me I go everyday if I am not stressed. I drink a lot of water. SOmetimes when I am stressed up I go in 4 days.
Same with you. Ha...ha

I eat lots of papaya fruits. it helps a lot in my daily bowel movement. i drink lots of water. you can eat foods and fruits that are rich in fibers like oat meal, wheat bread, pineapple, etc.

Can you elaborate please. I'm quite slow and don't get what you mean.
But I have a something in my mind that I can't is what you want to say.
Yeah its really hard. Lucky every four days. Darn that a hard hat your carrying.
I think what you need is to eat fruits and tea. I do that and I also discipline myself. I always do that every morning. Just sit and wait. Sooner or later it will become regular.

LOL.. And I thought you guys were talking about how regular you post on myLot. I was gonna say, "I go every minute I can, every time I'm logged in. I try to go as often as possible as long as i can handle it."
Well, bowel-wise, I go every other day. yeah i think it's something in the food we eat. I'm asian and a big part of my diet consists of rice and a lot of carbs, not so much fiber.
