We had macaroni soup with bits of chicken for dinner. Me and BF cooked it. we just added cabbage, carrots and bit of celery and that's it! We're in a budget so we did picked only the ingredients that are important for our soup but that would taste like the usual macaroni soup. We spen $4.75 for that.. I know a site of recipes that are only cooked for 10 minutes.

Check out your local grocery store in the morning if you can. That is when you can find the best selection of meats that have been reduced. Then either freeze them or use them the same day. I picked up a nice package of boneless sirloin pork chops reduced to half price ($.99 per pound). I added some seasoning, put them in a baking dish in the oven and baked them at 350 degrees for 45 minutes - drained off the fat and liquid then poured 2 cans of chicken gravy over them and put them back in the oven for 15 more minutes. Made some instant mashed potatoes and chopped up some fresh veggies. An inexpensive tasty meal. I can now take the leftovers - cut the remaining chops up into pieces, add some frozen hashbrowns and frozen vegetables and easily turn it into a one-dish casserole for another meal.

I always buy the reduced meats from the grocery store. And even the cookies and cakes can be frozen! I often buy the veggies reduced to they put them in a bag and sell them reduced together.

Hi, momathome. I am not having any dinner tonight. I have some leftover pork chops that are baked from Sunday. You can try eating some Baked maple syrup beans, white rice and beef grounded hamburger. This makes a great dinner.

I am on a budget too! I actually don't get the chance to cook much. Last night I went to the grocery store with the 15 dollars I had for food. I bought eggs, cheese, green onions, an anahiem pepper, a head of cabbage, two avocados and a bag of potatoes. So tonight I am going to bake a potato and top it with cheese, peppers and onions. Then I will slice 1/2 of an avocado to eat with it. I might cook a little of the cabbage too.

I think I am not going to cook anything for dinner today cause there were a lot of leftovers last night and we are going to eat them today. I dont think its wise for me to cook something when there are still a lot of food no eaten in the fridge. I dont really like to eat leftovers but I dont have a choice. Its better to eat that than waste money.

Try split peas (dahl) slowly cook till peas mash. In meantime prepare codfish and dice, fry dry till crisp in oil with a few pegs of garlic. Season mashed split peas with ground cumin seeds (gera). no salt is needed, enough is on codfish. Finally, finely cut some stalks of escallion. On plate with white rice cover with mashed dahl seasoned with gera, sprinkle dahl with fried saltfish with raw escallion on top. This a very economical dish and very tasty, try it

We had grilled BBQ chicken last night but tonight I'm just going to make some spaghetti. Just using hamburger meat, wheat noodles, and spaghetti sauce...simple meal for tonight. We eat a lot of chicken in our house so I go online and look for new chicken recipes a lot and I've found a lot of good ones. I actually made one the other week that was a homeade sweet and sour chicken and it was really good.

last night I made a chicken bake that an online friend taught me to make a few years ago. You use 1 -10 oz can Cream of Chicken Soup, 1 1/3 cups water, 3/4 cup uncooked long grain white rice, 1/2 tsp. onion powder (I omit this), 2 cups veggies (fresh or frozen), 4 skinless, boneless /on the bone chicken bre@st halves, 1/2 cup of reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese. Stir soup, water, rice, onion powder and veggies in 9x13 @ 400-425 shallow dish I bake it for like an hour or so based on if I used fresh or frozen chicken and how the rice looks. I add my own seasonings. Typically I double everything but the chicken and that's usually enough for our family & sometimes left overs. Tonight I'm not sure yet I'm thinking maybe fried rice w/ a marinated chicken bre@st or ???

Since I am working a 12 hour day today, I think it will be a frozen pizza and breadsticks. Maybe some salad on the side. Tomorrow I might make bbq pork - yum!

Well, I am a frugal cooker myself. Last night I made a great meal for about $5.00. We had bubble pizza. Bubble Pizza Made with refrigerator biscuits, a reader says this pizza is really delicious and versatile, as well as inexpensive! * * * Ingredients: 3 pkgs. refrigerator biscuits (usually 3/$1) 1 can or jar of spaghetti sauce (never more than 99 cents) Shredded cheese (preferably mozzarella) Pizza toppings: Usually what I already have in the pantry and vegetable bin. Directions: Cut biscuits into quarters and place in a 9x13 baking dish. Add sauce, stir to coat, and spread evenly in bottom of pan. Top with cheese, then toppings, (I usually stick to 3 toppings at a time). Bake at 375 degrees for about 35-40 min. Be sure to check middle to make sure all the dough is cooked through Another recipe I have is Cornbread chili. Chili Cheese Cornbread My kids gobble this up, and it's cheap! * * * Ingredients: 2 cans chili w/beans Cheese (shredded or sliced) 1 box Jiffy cornbread mix 1 egg 1/3 c. milk Directions: Spread chili in a greased 8x11 dish. Top with cheese. Stir milk and egg into cornbread mix and spread on top. Bake at 375 degrees or until golden brown and cornbread is done. I hope that these two items help you.

Hi, for dinner tonight, we had seaweed soup, boiled vegetables, fried eggs, and steamed chicken. Not really sumptuous but not really expensive and not time-consuming to prepare. There are many cheap choices out there in the market that are full of nutrition. Just keep a lookout for them next time you do your marketing.
