Hardwork is key to success?!!

yes i agree. hardwork plus patience and add a little inspiration and perspiration then you will succeed. you to make sure that you are also happy on what you are doing and you have your goals. Think smart and work smart. that would be two thumbs up for me.

Sometime being too smart is not very good , If you are smart but lazy then you won't suceed either.

Hi besthope, I think hard work and work smart must be combined well in order to success in today world. Its can not survive alone. We see a lot of people who work hard every time but their life never change and at some point they will give it up. They might think that their work hard does not appreciated. Work smart alone is not enough too. There are a lot of people who were brilliant and work smart. So the competition is very high. It is only through you hard work that would make you better then the rest.

Some Times hard work cant key for a success. .. if ever your not smart enough for that job ... it's useless for hardworking right? .. Happy looting ^_^

definitely... i always believe that hardwork always pays off... of course working smart is also important on top of being hardworking alone... so i agree with you whole-heartedly on this... some people work really hard all their lives but they are getting nowhere because they don't work smart... so the combination of these two qualities are very important for the key to success... on top of that, i also believe that hard will, determination and never give up mentality also important to make a person to become successful... take care and have a nice day...

Success is really fleeting to most people, don't you agree? :) Yes, one needs to work hard to get what they want. But nowadays, that's not always the case. I believe you also have to have a bit of luck in order to attain success. Being in the right place at the right time with the right knowledge can go a long way, and sometimes takes you farther than hard work ever will. All we can do is pray for guidance. :)

I think that both types of work are important. But you won't get smart unless you are willing to work hard to achieve it. If you have will to learn new things and to put them into good use, you'll surely be successful. Working smart can help you to complete the tasks with using a smaller amount of time and it may raise your work efficiency. Join these things together and you'll achieve anything you want to.

i think this is partially true. as hardwork is not just the smart work is the key of success. i think a person who just type on a computer is also doing hardwork or even a person who clean the garden he is doing hardwork. but what does it mean by successful. i think if we go through the definition. then success come in a different way. if you have a unique idea and able to be honestly implement then you could be successful.

Yes, it has to be smart work which will win in the current diplomatic and competitive world! Doing a work perfectly and quickly can fetch you much more than toiling in the same work for days together! So, now coming to the hard work part, some chores do need some hard work but at the same time you need some luck on your side too!!!!

I see what a lot of myLot people are saying, but something is missing. The something missing is "working for someone else." In this world, if you work for someone else and work hard, you may be working hard to make the business or business owner succeed and they will pat you on the back (but they won't offer more money) and they will expect you to keep working hard, and if you don't then they'll call you lazy. And if you die they might send a flower and say, "I had a good worker." And as another myLotter said, some workers who don't work hard or who are lazy get more than the very hard workers. So I agree with most of the myLotters in this discussion that you should work hard and smart. But generally, I believe in working hard. If you are working for yourself, hopefully you are smart. Muhammad Ali once said that "you have to have the right connection and complexion." I believe him. I am actually working very hard because I've found that working for someone else just helps you to barely pay the rent and put food on the table. I have my own projects and believe in very hard work and "persistence." I believe that you should hang in there by your fingernails and teeth -- that you should chip away until you succeed. Yes friend I totally agree with you that if one works smartly then he can produce better results than working harder..Of course we need to work hard but we must also realize that only hard work will not be able to fetch us the accolades and rewards..we need to work smarter..putting in a lot of hard work smartly is the key to success.

yes i have seen people hardworking.. but a person who is smart really takes the lead from the hard worker.. so now a days i prefer smart work rather then doing hard work...u should do hard work as well because u cannot b smart without any kind of hard work... and struggle... smartness is not gifted... u have to achieve it..

Yes i believe in you, thinking and working smartly will do the trick. If hardwork alone can assure one person's success then its possible that i can see construction workers, traffic enforcers, and perhaps garbage collector that is earning thousands of bucks already. As we all know, there are people who only uses some of their efforts but then they are enjoying tremendous amount of money. So let's work smartly rather than hardly. But if the situation calls us to work hard, its not bad at all to exert physical efforts.
