In India many States have load shedding which means we are already going through phases of 'no current' randomly during the day and night. India is playing its part every single day and therefore a show of 1 hour was not called for.

Well, the other countries should take a lesson from this. We actually have hours of power failure everyday during the summer. Sometimes, they have failure like a routine, like, a particular time, for a particular period of time. You can actually predict when the current will go and when it will come.
We are having earth hours all the time. I guess, we are having it more than it is required.

I was out in London on a scavenger hunt because it was a friends birthday and he wanted to to it. I didn't even notice anything because I was probably walking the streets or on a train. It was a long nay and my feet hurt most of the way lol, it was like 4-5 hours long. We got lots of pictures for facebook though, oh and we had to wear an odd looking t-shirt that all of us made together the whole way, so we got some interesting looks the whole time. =P

I chose not to participate in earth hour. I do the get what the whole fuss is all about. There is no point doing nothing for one hour during the productive period of the day. We should conserve energy in our everyday lives. Use only what is necessary. Things like earth hour are just tokenism, and do not accomplish anything.

I was at home and i used minimum lighting required.A person close to me was suddenly taken unwell.I visited the hospital along with a friend and spent some time there. There was a heavy traffic and it took some time to commute to and fro from my house to the medical center.

Actually, I was watching a cricket match on TV. The lights and the fans were on. It is incredibly hot here, so it is impossible to spend an hour without fans.
But to tell you the truth, I forgot about the Earth Hour completely. It was such a good match, that I forgot about everything else. Sorry...
