Why can't I mylot ?

Now, I used to be here for 5-6 hours at a stretch. I used to post about 60-70 posts minimum everyday and loved doing it. But then I had some computer problems and could not login to mylot for a couple of months. After solving all those problems, I have returned, but it is just not the same. The site has changed and it is for the better. I really like the changes in here, but I just could not post like the way I used to. I had so many friends and we had a wonderful time chatting and having fun. I just can't get that flow going. This is my first discussion after returning. I did not even feel like starting one for this whole week. I wonder what is wrong with me...!!! Did you ever go through such a phase? Have such an experience? Please share your views.

I was offline for quite a while myself before I came here, and it drove me crazy at first not being able to get on the Internet and do what I normally do. After a while, I got used to it, though, and then it was very difficult getting back into a routine. I do understand what you are talking about. Also, I have gone through periods where it seemed like there were not a lot of fun discussions to respond to, but sometimes people need to talk about serious issues, and the fun topics will be back again soon - don't worry.

I hope you will get in the groove. Aren't you in the mood already? Well, one thing is for sure then. I will come back tomorrow just to check on you.

I am sure that they will. I had to get off of here yesterday, because I was having a fun time with friends, and then I got a call that really put me in a bad state of mind. I did not want to take out my hurt and anger on my friends here, so I thought it was best to just turn the computer off. I was in the middle of a comment, and I did not even finish it but just turned the computer off right where I was. I almost didn't come on today, either, but I decided to stop in for a minute, and I am glad that I did. Hopefully, tomorrow I will be in my normal, playful mood again and things will be back to usual.

No, I am not really in the mood yet, but I am trying to fake it so that maybe if I keep doing it and my friends respond back playfully, then I will actually get in that kind of mood. I am just dealing with a lot of crap in my personal life right now, and it is getting too much for me at the moment. I am trying to let it go, though, and hopefully I will be able to do it soon.

Well, welcome back! If this is your first discussion response I am sure there are many more here for you. I have gone through such a phase, infact I am in one right now. Can't get back to my writing. I hate it. Just don't have the mind set and my thoughts are so scattered. Be good to yourself and come join us from time to time and see if that doesn't help. Routine sometimes gets you back to it.

Yes, you said this was your first discussion getting back. I am slowly getting back to my writing. Routine is a good thing. If they expect to see you it may get more going on here too. That would good. It has been pretty slow.

I am getting faster and faster. Yesterday was one of those rare days, when I was busy with some work. So I am making up for the loss today. I am sure you will get your touch back soon enough like me.

Hi Celtic, this is the first discussion I have started after returning to mylot. I want to participate more and have fun. This discussion brought a lot of old friends and I had a great time interacting with them. Hope this fun continues. Mylot is a wonderful place to be. Hope you back to your writing. You are right, just make it a routine and the rest will fall in place.

I have his problem all the time, and haven't started a discussion for a few months. My myLot pages take so long to load, I give up. Maybe one day, I will start some more discussions, but for now, well it's just too expensive. (I use a prepaid USB.)

I have an external modem back in Thailand. However, until the end of this year, I will be staying in some places, in Australia that don't have a landline, thus the need for the USB. And, you're right it is fast, it only seems slow on myLot pages.

Hi Mipen, USBs are really expensive. I still use an external modem and it is a lot cheaper. But I thought the prepaid USB has high speed. My broadband speed is slow but I manage somehow. Hope to see you and your discussions more. Thank you for the response and happy mylotting.

I think maybe if there are many onliner on mylot that it tends to slow the connection. I think we have to take a break for a while then move on posting a discussion. Welcome back sagnik42! Happy Mylotting!!! It's new faces!!

With a population over 200,00 more and more people are posting , but the time seriously varies +5.30(GMT) I think mylot has to improve its server and the trafficking speed should also increase and a very large with more capacity server should be coming in for better and faster operation.. I'm having 2 mbps bandwidth connection , yet it takes some seconds to post a reply..

I have recently joined mylot and do not have much idea about the previous look of mylot. But I am facing problems with browser whenever I use mylot. The browser hangs for 5 minutes. Is anyone facing this kind of problem?

We face this problem only when there is an upgrade going in here Simi else it would be fine. Which browser you use by the way?If the same persists again then why dont you switch over to another browser---it might work there

Welcome back sagnik. Wow...you did that many discussions in a day! I wonder how you managed to come up with all the ideas? It is always the case of returnees who has been MIA of a while and it is as though you have return to a newbie status and getting the feel of the place again. Once you overcome that newness feelings to mylotting, you'll be recharged and everything will fall back into the same pattern as it once was.

Hi Zandi, you got me wrong there. By posts, I meant responding and commenting. I did start a discussion every now and then, but mainly it was responses to other discussions. When I returned last week, the site did look new. It has changed quite a lot and I looked around a bit to understand the changes. But after that I lost interest. That has been the problem. Thank you for the response.

We all tend to go through phases. Something that once held our attention can become less attractive to us. I go through stages where I don't contribute anything on here too. One of the reasons is because I have become busy elsewhere doing other, more important things (even though I miss my mylot friends). Try not to worry too much though, it's just human nature to go through 'fads'... like the old crazes that occurred when we were kids, swap cards, yo-yo's, rubiks cube etc. We all went through stages where we had those things and felt we would never lose interest... yet we did, weeks or months down the track the craze passed and eventually the object got left sitting in the bottom of the drawer or toy box. If you feel sad about the lack of interest perhaps you could try following and responding to some of the posts made by your friends, that might serve to recapture your interest.

Hi Jewel, that is what I have been doing for so many days. I have been reading my friend's posts and spending my time. But haven't participated that much myself. The craze is still there, believe me. I like being here. When I am not doing anything in here, I feel frustrated. I want to join and participate. But something was holding me back. But now, I am getting used to it. Maybe I will get over this hangover of mine. Thank you for the response.

Hi sagnik! It doesn't matter how many discussions that you start or respond too! It only matters that your are here with your friends and having fun! I guess being away from here for awhile it is hard to get back into the swing of things at first! I'm sure you will get that "old feeling" back again as soon as you start responding and seeing some of your old friends! Anway, it's great to see you back!

Hi Opal, good to see you too. Frankly speaking, I do not really remember how many discussions I participate to. I mainly stayed on mylot for the fun and the friends. That is what made me post 50-60 posts everyday. I hope I get that 'old feeling' back. Actually, this is a bit weird. I miss mylotting. But when I login here, I do not feel like doing anything. That is why I have been a little upset. I have never been in such a situation, if you know what I mean.

It has happened to me too, in fact it is right now. I just haven't been able to be on here all that much for one reason or another, and when I am here, I am just not as motivated as I should be. I don't like that though, as I really love mylot and I hope to be here for a very long time, and I hope to be able to do more than what I have lately. I am finding it harder to reach payout too, but that is okay, as it issn't about the money anyway. I enjoy myself when I am in here and I do have fun, but lately, I just haven't had the fun I should have. I will still be active here anyway, as mylot is to good of a site not to be here. I have just been doing other things lately, and not getting as much done in here as I used to. It will all change though, as I am going to continue no matter what. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

We are here to help you have as much fun as you want. It was good that I started a discussion as this has really got me going. Thank you for the response.

Hi sagnik, I also face the same problem as yours after coming back here. I can not access internet when I went back to my home village and only when I went to town then I have a chances to connect to internet. I do sometimes log in to myLot because I do not want all my balance being fortified (we need to log-in at least once for 90 days). I stay there for 4 months. I only start active back here at the end of last month. And I am very impressive with the improvement they have made. Its really nice to know that one of the admin regularly here to help us (before that it is hard to contact admin staff except through email). I rarely started a discussion here and only responding to others discussions. Usually I manage to response to 40 to 50 discussions a day. But when I log-in after a long break, the mood to response was not there. It is hard to response to even 10 discussions a day. Its need time to get myself comfortable again with myLot. But now I think I am back to my previous level. I can response to as many discussions as before if I find an interesting topics.

Hi Akuler, you explained the problem better than I did. The mood is really not there to participate. I want to but do not feel the excitement or addiction. I guess I will have to give it some time. Thank you for the response.

I will be here no matter what. I can't live without this site. It is great to be here, just reading posts, even though I do not always participate. Mylot has really improved and I like all the new features and additions. The notifications are giving a little trouble but the rest is great. May be they will sort the notification problem soon. I have got some friends back and I am starting to have some fun.

Hi lingli, Please do mylot when you feel like it. You do not have spend too much time here, but just keep the touch. There are many members who miss you in here and others like me want to know you better. 5 years is a long time and it is difficult to keep the same motivation for such a large span of time. And do try to be here as much as you can. P.S.-Please accept my friend request.

I just recently came back like you but they haven't seen me around the new discussions because I've busy trying to catch up in the discussions made from three weeks ago. I'm not finish catching up yet but today I tried to be active in those discussions that are new because I know that my friends are missing me

29 Mar 10
Yes, we have been missing you! It is nice to see you both back and more active. Don't worry, though, you will never catch up, because there is always more being added, so you should just go wherever draws your attention the most. The thing with me lately is that I have not been finding as many things that I want to respond to that really capture my interest. I guess that I have to do more searching and stalking to find those types of discussions, but it does make it easier when more of my friends are active.

29 Mar 10
It's embarrassing but that comment made me blush. Yes catching up is hard to do specially when my internet is not really on my side right now. I don't know but I think almost all, about 90%, discussion made by my friends are of interest to me so it's basically a ready served food just waiting for me. Stalking would really be easier when a lot of our dear friends are active

Well, you seem to be doing quite well with the catching up, Hex, especially since your post count has now surpassed mine, and you were a decent amount behind me yesterday when I got off the computer for the day. I know that Sunny is feeling you nipping at his heals, too, so he is trying very hard to stay ahead of you with his posting.

I'm sorry sagnik----if i have failed to keep up the fun going in my discussions---i have been busy offlate and i rarely make 10 responses each day---i have 3-4 discussions which were a big hit in this month and i couldn't manage to add comments in every other box---its too boring to add comments in the boxes which conclude more or less the same.I should take some time to clear those off---you and hex returned from your breaks but i'm finding it real hard to shuffle between 5-6 discussions of mine at the same time---so i'm sticking to the current post---may be we shall look out for the post which grabs our gangs attention

Hi Sunny, actually you are one of the few members whose discussions have kept me here. Otherwise I would not have posted anything. There have been so many discussion notifications in my inbox that I have not been able to respond to all of them. But I liked a few of yours and responded. I have been out of form really. I think some match practice will help me to get going.

There could be several reasons for not myLotting regularly. First of all one need energy and interest to do it. secondly one can find topics he/she likes to discuss with. Third one need to get some time from his/her busy schedule..Net connection should be available there may be thousands of other reasons...but above mentioned are most common reasons for my doing myLot........

wow, you really do that? 60 to 70 posts minimum, you must have raked in a pile. so, it doesn't matter if there'd been changes, it's the same and it's even easier now. probably, you can increase your posts to 100 per sitting, even more... good luck and happy counting (of earnings)....
