Well things have progressed really fast here. My husband and I went to a shelter today and adopted a puppy. She's a sweet little dog. She's a beagle and lab mix and has brown and tan fur with white legs and white on half of her tail. Now we need to find a name for her. I need your help in picking the perfect name for her!

I am SO behind in my notifications so I just now saw this. Congratulations! I hope you find a name. She will probably tell you what she should be called after a couple of days, you'll get to know her personality.
Oh my gosh, when I first read that you went to a shelter I thought you had lost your home! I was so happy that you merely added a sweet little blessing to your household!!

How about Chance? Since you adopted her from a shelter, you've given her a chance. I also like Lovey. Whatever name you decide on, I'm very happy for you. I hope all of you bring years of joy to each other.

Congratulations on the new addition to your family. We've had a lot of pets over the years and I find that it is difficult to name them as well. With our cat, the first thing that I wanted to name him was tag because he reached out his paw like he was going to tag us in a game, but it really didn't fit for him, so I just watched him for a while and paid attention to him and he eventually became Cornbread.
So, I like the idea that other people have suggested of naming her Tippy, but you may find that there is something better which is more of a fit to her personality.

I'm glad u finally got that puppy u have been wanting. Beagles are cute little things. Had one once a long time ago. As for a name have no suggestion, that's pretty much a personal thing i think, lol. Good luck w/her. Puppies can be trying at times. lol.

Oh I am soo pleased !! As you know I too have a half lab and half sweetheart ! I got her from the humane society 6 or 7 years ago and for some reason the name Galeena( I heard the name on TV and it was German woman's name) but she is MY Galeena and the first name that popped into my head when I read this post is FAITH.
You wanted a puppy so bad and gave this little girl a lot of thought and therefore FAITH.
FAITH ELIZABETH that is what I'd call her !
But of course, it's your choice. I'm sure she'll show you her true character in the next few days and you can derive a name for her out of her actions.
I am really soooo proud and pat the little sweetie on the head for quita !
God bless.
