I am in the market for a new televsion as the one in the living room is on it's last days. I was doing some research to find out the best one for my needs when I saw that 3-D Televisions are being released next month. Not sure I'd want one at the prices they are starting at, how about you? I'd rather wait abit till the prices go down so I'm more likely to get a HDTV as the prices have come down alot.
I love 3-D movies in the theatre but not sure I'd like them at home. What about you?

Watching 3-D movies is also one of my favorites. But, i prefer not to spend my money into buying a 3-D television, since it's not cheap. I still prefer to watch through my normal television, since the screen is wide and beautiful. Maybe, in future when the price had dropped, then i might want to consider buying one. It's good to hear this new 3-D television is in market soon.

My living room Tv is the largest one in the house and it's dying fast. I'm going to look at flat screen tv options but not too big! I've seen folks where the tv dominates the room and that's not for me. It'll be interesting to see how well the 3-D tv's do since there are so many other new technologies out lately.

I would sure like to have a 3-D TV, but I don't think I can afford it. I better wait until the price drops before I buy one. Right now my TV is still doing fine, so there's no need yet to replace it.

I'm just like you. If my TV is doing well, I keep it. I have wanted a flat screen for quite awhile now and have been saving for it and now that my living room tv decided to start to fade on me, it's almost time to get one! And happily, the prices are way down over what they once were. I think it'll be interesting to see how well the 3-D tv's do since they are kinda a specialty item.

That is soooo cool: ) but its really inconvenient right? i mean you have to wear the 3D glasses everytime you want to watch TV?

I'm not sure about that or not. I think so. If that's the case then they should provide multiple pairs with each Tv else there will be fighting over them. They are coming to my local stores this month so I will at least check them out to see if they are as cool as they sound. But not really going to get one, wouldn't be worth paying the premium. Take care!

I'm with you. With there be so many excellent non 3-D televisions to choose from, I will stick to seeing that format at the theatres. I would like to see one at the store to compare how different it is tho. Thanks for sharing! Take care!

Hey, first time I hear about this. Well probably I will get one in the future since I love 3d movies as well. Don't know about prices though, but I am sure it won't be cheap in the beginning. Will you be in need of 3d glasses like usually or not? Would they be sold with the TV or separately?

Great questions! I'm not sure but I think one would still need the 3-D glasses. And they had better come up with some better ones that the cheap cardboard ones that one gets at the movies! Tho are annoying at times. I'm sure they will be very high in price at least in the beginning...Take care!

I don't like the idea of 3D television, I think it won't last and I'm not sure how exactly it will work out. I think it's one of those "big" ideas that will fall flat on it's face as I just couldn't see people watching soaps or drams and get the feeling that some people do when watching a movie. Most television shows are thought out around 3D so it would be just weird.
I know people who want them tho, not me personally.

No I wouldn't waste money on a 3D television. I'm actually not a big fan of 3D movies anyways. I can enjoy them just as much without the 3D, and it's cheaper when it's normal! So I save money and still get a good experience (well, if the movie's good!) hehe
But I just don't think a 3D television would be worth the (sure to be) high price it'll cost. And like I said, I'm just not all that interested in 3D anyways.

I agree that I don't think it'd be worth it to buy a 3-d television. It'll be interesting to see how much more expensive they are. I think it works in the theatre really well but not so much at home! Thanks for your input! Take care.

Having gone through the 3-D rage before, I don't foresee it staying longer than a few years. (Of course they said the same thing about the telephone, etc, so I could be wrong).
At any rate, most shows are quite good in regular television and although I thorougly enjoyed Avatar and would not want to see it in anything except 3-D, I wouldn't pay the price they will want for them.
So, probably not.

As far as I am concerned, I think I usually enjoy so much of the 3-D movies . Though the 3-D television is coming out soon, I think I will not buy it as soon as possible ,which may mean a lot of money for me. So I will chose to buy the television when it is not so expensive.

I haven't even looked at the prices since I don't want one but I imagine they are going to be super high. Any new technology always starts out that way. I'd rather have a flat screen tv anyway so it works better for me.

that is pretty cool. i would like to have a 3-D t.v. but i think that is just alittle bit too much money to buy. i think i can make due with a normal t.v. set.

I don't want a 3D tv I am already sick of 3D movies. It isn't something I feel I would missing out sitting at home with stupid glasses on my face. I will stick with regular HD tv that is good enough for me

Hello Tallygirl09,
I do not like 3d movies because you have to wear the glasses. I wonder if long time wear would hurt your eyes with damage. It is bad enough how tv we watch and are on the cmputeres. I wonder what the research shows on this and damamge to our eyes.
Thanks and Have a great day and Happy Easter
Sincerely Unique16
