Would you ever meet someone from the internet?

well i had an experience about that... but that person was not my friend.. she was a friend of my another friend... who is my childhood friend.... i live in gujrat city here in pakistan and my friend made a friend through internet... when i was working in another city named lahore... my friend called me and told me that his online friend's sister needs a job... so he wanted me to refer her for a job... then i called her to meet me... and i meet her and her sister at my work... before me my friend never met her... the first meeting of his online friend was with me... it was really strange...

I found my husband online and I have also found two very close friends online. My husband and I are both members of the same dating/friendship site, and in the beginning we exchanged some emails. After a while we decided to meet and our meeting went really well. We became a couple, got engaged, moved in together etc and last year we got married Before I met my husband I went on a couple of dates, and they weren't very succesful, but I am glad that I didn't give up, otherwise I wouldn't have met my husband. 7 years ago I was a member of a penpalsite and through that site I met one of my best friends. We exchanged letters for a while and talked on the phone. One day we decided to meet. We got along really well, we just talked and talked, and today she is one of my best friends. I have also found another close friend that way. We met 3 years ago, and she has become a very good friend.

I have met a few people I have met online. One of them I talked to for about 2-3 yrs before actually meeting them face to face when I let them come live with me for a while. He then met His current fiance online and talked to her for a year before inviting her to come live with Him after He got his own apartment. I am still very good friends with them and talk to them daily.

no i have no such xperience, i rather talk mainly to frends here not strangers......:)

yeah i have met 2 from the net. i met one guy late last yr on one site then, i think it was about 3 weeks later i actually met of them in person. it was a last minute decision as my mother had decided to come along as well, on my trip over to do something in a bigger town. i met him on the way back cause we were going to the town where he was. i ditched mum at macca's and went down the street, and met him. we had a late lunch, it was great just sitting there talking about things. i've seen him a few times since then, but he's working away at the moment so we don't chat as often. the other one is in my local town and i've met him once. we just sat and talked outside the takeaway while waiting for the pizza's to be cooked.

Well, there is no problem with it, make sure you saw him/her on cam, at least you already have an idea lol. It is very hard to meet people if you wont see him/her even on the picture haha..

First of all, till have met one of the person whom I used to chat or discuss in online forum. Though it was not planned or something, we used to answer rather used to discuss some of things or even used solve each others technical problems. But one day we met and we were together for most of the day, but we dint know that we are the guys who used to chat/ discuss in the forums. At last somehow topic about those discussions and we came to know about each other. It was really nice experience. I would like to meet to some online friends, but this time I would like to have it planned.

I often hear stories bout how they met their special someone via lovematch or penpal or anything like that, sometimes i want to try that kind of way too. But nowadays its not that easy, too many bad people lurking around waiting for an opening until your vulnurable for just about anything. But then again there are those who are still sincere and honest when it comes to be being friends with you. My answer is why not? you'll never know unless you tried it yourself ;)

Yes i have. I have been chatting online for a decade now and I have met all sorts of people. Most of them are within my area so meeting is not a problem. I used to be in a group who would regularly meet. It is a great way to know more people. I have also met some whom I felt are worth exploring a relationship with. A few were, but did not work out. Most of those I have met are really nice, but there are those I swear I never want to see again. It is all just a matter of luck, I guess.
