I just started reading manga last year so I only have few. I've read about 23 manga only, but I'm sure a lot of you out there have already read maybe hundreds of mangas. How many mangas have you read so far and what's your favorite out of the bunch??

I'm a frequent One Piece reader... in my opinion it is currently one of the best manga in the world. :)
Which mangas do you read? :)

Some of my favorites are Berserk, Nana, Skip Beat, Gantz, Lovely Complex, Hajime No Ippo, Eyeshield 21 and OHSHC. I'm planning to read One Piece but I'm still having doubts since I'm not really into pirates, treasures and stuff. Is it really worth my time?

It's more about friendship, adventure, comedy and Luffy is currently one of the best main characters in any manga which is the consensus amongst one manga forums members (forum with readers of Naruto, Bleach, One Piece and other manga).
They are searching for One Piece, the greatest treasure in the world, but they haven't found OP and won't find OP till the end of the manga, so the plot is mostly about traveling in the seas and fighting powerful enemies, such as the World Governments military branches, currently only the Navy and rival Pirates.
There's a huge mixture of characters in the Strawhat crew, they come in all shapes (including animals and cyborgs) and sizes... their personality and ambitions range from being the greatest swordsman to being the greatest navigator or historian.

Yes, I love one piece too! Actually, i don't read the manga, but I watch the anime. I love seeing Luffy's animated face. I opted not to bother watching the other episodes as it is a terribly long anime. But hey, whichever arc you start, you're definitely gonna enjoy it.
I also love the crew! One of the things I like in OnePiece are when the characters are crying. When they have a crying scene, like a fight between friends, remember Luffy and that guy with the curly hair, when they had a fight and reconciled, they were like crying and crying with snots in their noses and flooding tears in their faces!

When I was a student and wasn't working... haha... I would watch a lot of animes. Hehehe. I'm more of an anime person than a manga fan. I like to see them animated and I like hearing their voices. However, when I get hold of the story that the anime I'm watching is actually continued in a manga, I have no choice but read the manga. An example of that is Perfect Girl Evolution. Hilarious anime, although ugly animation, but still a funny anime. I started reading the manga and am always left in a cliffhanger situation after every chapter.
Anyway, hmm, I've read just quite a few but the ones I'm following right now are Skip Beat and Perfect Girl Evolution. I had heard Fairy Tail or Tale was nice. I will hunt for it soon. Haha. What's your favorite manga dzeanne?

If i liked the anime Monster and Bloody, does that mean I'm into dark fantasy and blood scenes? Hmmm...Anyway, I think I will go download OHHC manga. I loved the series and I keep recommending it to friends. I even give them copies of the whole series. lol. Same with Lovely Complex. I will definitely check these two out. Thanks!

My favorite one is Berserk by Kentaro Miura. Try reading it if you're into dark fantasy and bloody scenes. LOL. The plot is great and you'll never get bored with it, nice art too. For shoujo, I like Skip Beat too, as well as Ouran Highschool Host Club and Lovely Complex. For shounen, Kekkaishi by Yellow Tanabe. You can watch the anime version, but the anime only covers maybe 1/4 of the manga.

hi, dzeanne. as i live in Japan, i have read tons of them.
i really love mangas. but i rarely buy them beacuse there are too many good mangas out there. i often go to a manga cafe, which is like an internet cafe with tons of managas. i have some translated mangas you English speackers can read and i really recommend Yotsuba& and kini ni todoke( from me to you ).
as you liked love complex, you like love comedies, right?, so i am sure you will like kini ni todoke :)
if you prefer si-fi managas like Gantz, neon genesis Evangelion is really popular in Japan and worth reading.

oh i made a mistake, i meant romantic comedies and sci-fi not love comedies and si-fi.
Evangelion is a little complicated manga but atracts many Jananese manga lovers and if you want, you can watch DVDs. well, i do not know if there is English versions, though....
oh, that reminds me, kimi ni todoke is also televised and there are some DVDs.
i hope you like my favorite mangas :D

these genre's are perfect in manga..
until bleach, prince of tennis, d.gray man.. I'd rather watch them..
these are the both good things in anime and manga.
i've read almost 46 manga's, I actually have a manga list at myanimelist.net but I didn't update it well unlike my anime list.

I don't really keep track of what I've read, that's just impossible. I've been reading manga for about a decade now so the number is pretty high up there. I actually own over 500 volumes of manga at the moment but that's still a small portion. Since I got my own laptop a few years back I've been spending a lot of time reading various manga online. If I had to guess, I'd definitely say over a hundred series at least. Right now I'm currently hooked on Piano no Mori, Skip Beat and Kami no Shizuru.

So far i cant remember how many mangas i have read.. Well, here are the list of mangas i have read. I have read Fairy Tale which is about magic or spirits, like they fight with super powers. I really liked it when i first read it , its from the creator of Rave Groove adventure, Hiro Mashima. Its really funny and nice to read. I dont know but i really like those type of drawing.
And i have read One piece, which is about pirates, i can say that the drawings of Oda and hiro is almost similar!
I have also read Gants but i think i didnt finish it, its very gory i can say. I do think the story plot is good.
Eye shield 21 is also one of my favorites, its bout American football. Very interesting story too.
Dragon head was an interesting one too and yakitate japan about bakery, ARMS is also nice, Full metal Alchemist, bleach which is about shinigami, naruto which is about ninja, balde of immortal is about old Japaneses slayers , Majin detective which is about detective and MAR is also nice.
Well, i can say i have read tons over the years, but not much i can say. Probably the most memorable ones are one piece, fairy tale, eye shield 21, slam dunk and samurai X . They are like my favorites one :)

I have read hundreds- because I only read those mangas which are short, one shots, or those only with 2 volumes or 5-8 chapters. I really like mangas because they are a fun read, I like the drawings too- and they have moral lessons ,too.
