Okay, so if you're a guy, you're probably going to want to stray away from this discussion, like, NOW. I get terrible cramps when I get my period. What are some things you guys do to ease the pain? Today, I have opted for a heating pack for my stomach and midol complete, which is actually working quite well for me. I hope that lasts! I have heard that different foods will make you feel better/worse. Let me know what you think about this!

I always get cramps and a backache on the first day of my period. I usually take some painkillers and try to get a bit of exercise. Exercise seems to help me, and I sometimes try to run or do some gym exercises. I especially like the exercise where you stretch as a cat, it helps me ease the pain. I also like to take a hot bath and stay in the bathtub for a long time. When I was younger I sometimes used a heating pack, and that also worked pretty well.

The other day I bought one of those heating packs you put under your clothes. I got the one for a back ache and just used it on my stomach. It helped a lot!

Hmmm. I have no idea about the foods, but for me, meds and sleep really does help. I usually skip work, cause I really don't want to be in pain while in the office. hehehe. I just mefanamic acid and usually it works after an hour. Then it would go away for the rest of the day.

Back when I was a teenager I had horrible cramps. I would just want to stay in bed all day and not go to school. Since that was not an option I just took lots of ibuprofen. After I had my son 10 years ago I stopped having really bad cramps and only had mild ones. After my daughter was born 3 years ago I stopped having the normal type of cramps and get them in my back. They are mild though. I don't think I have ever used Midol before, but I know some women say it works for them. I just do ibuprofen. I have been told to avoid caffeine when having cramps. Supposedly it makes them worse.
