Is twitter as good as they say?

I joined Twitter about six months ago. I don't know that much about it since I don't really use it that much so I'm really not sure! You can always join and check it out for yourself, though. It's free to join with your email address just like any other social networking site like Facebook. I don't know where you can play games on there. I probably just haven't found that part of it yet. However, what I do know is that Facebook and Twitter work hand in hand. You can link them together somehow. There's also a way to see all the status updates from both Facebook and Twitter at one time. I think it's called the Twitter Deck. I don't know as much about it as other people, I'm sure, but what they've been coming out with lately is really neat! Twitter is basically just for status updates and offers from places...like you can sign up to receive tweets from your favorite stores, and they will send you special deals and coupons or alert you of sales and such. I think it's worth it to join just for that. I hope you will join and find it to be a great site for you. Take care!

I'm a member of twitter but I don't use it that much. I'm using facebook now and has been working for me ever since. I'd be able to get in touch with long lost friends and high school friends...

Huh? If you can, do let me know, as I only use Twitter for "Tweeting." 3G is great isn't it! Facebook comes with mine, too, but I canceled my account after their last security boo-boo. Android phone is it? What kind? I have a Samsung Moment. It's awesome.

I don't wanna say Twitter is better than the other social networking sites, but personally; Twitter works better for me than Facebook. I love its simplicity because its features complement my personal lifestyle. Since I am always on-the-go and always have this need to express something, I can easily update my Twitter status online everywhere I am as long as I have a phone with me ;)) In fact, in my country; Twitter doesn't necessarily work only for smartphones. Twitter can also work even if you have a non-colored phone. In my country, updating your Twitter status costs only 1 peso, or just a few cents in dollars. :) I can also post mobile photos through Twitter which costs just about 3 pesos I think. ;D It's true that you can also earn on Twitter.. you can go to revtwt dot com for more info. Anyway I only use Twitter as my personal micro-blog and also my medium to create friends in my country or internationally. In fact I have already created a few established friends on Twitter.. ;)) Twitter is also a good way of promoting your blog posts. There are a lot of blog platform nowadays in which they have features like cross-posting... Once you update your blog, the link to your blog post will be automatically updated in your Twitter. :D You can sign up for a Twitter account anytime and see for yourself. I was also once cynical about Twitter but when I created an account I eventually become hooked at it. It's easy to create followers and friends there.. :)

I don't have a twitter account. And I did not know that its members can get paid. I would like to know more about this myself.

Twitter is ok I guess, but unless you have tons of followers its pretty boring in my opinion. I have a twitter account but I dont use it much, twitter can help you earn but I think you have to have special software and tons of followers its to much of hassle for me though I do fallow some sites on twitter but dont believe the hype twitter is ok but not that big a deal in my opinion.

Twitter is good for getting traffic to your website... if you know what you are doing. I use twitter in conjunction with an online tool called twitterfeed http://twitterfeed.com which allows you to submit updates automatically whenever you post to your blog. All you have to do is add your blog feed or article feed (on article sites like ideamarketers, ezinearticles, goarticles etc) to twitterfeed and whenever your feed is updated it will automatically get posted to twitter (up to five new posts at a time... each with a separate tweet). It uses the title and the first part of the post as the tweet. I also use a program that allows me to find and follow people who have the same interests as me. It works well to build your followers because you find that around 50% of those you follow will follow you in return... and the program allows you to unfollow those who don't follow you in return (if you want to). In the last couple of weeks I've built my follower base from about 200 to almost 900. And whenever I post to the blog I get probably about 20-30 visitors just from the links on twitter alone

i also have a twitter account but i still don't find the real system on how to earn from the site. they say we have to have more followers and some of my followers are only those with sexy profiles, which i guess are leading me to some mature sites, etc.

im not sure how to earn money on twitter yet.. i have used it for awhile and i honestly keep it because its connected to my myspace so when i update twitter it updates myspace since i hate taking the time to log in.. there are some mturk things asking for you to post it to your twitter but not many.. but i do like following some celebs and news places so im always up to date.. i prob need to weed through them since my twitter is too full lol

I have not heard anything bad about Twitter as yet. There are some fun and very different games than I am used to playing on there. I would like to hear also how you can get paid on there. It is fun to put your status up but this is more like Facebook for statuswise.

I have to be completely honest here, and say that I really don't think that Twitter is as good as a lot of people claim that it is. I signed up for a Twitter account when it first started coming into the mainstream, but I've never done anything with it because I really don't understand the format of it. I don't really get how it works. I suppose for people that are able to express themselves in 20 words or less would really like it, but for me, not so much.

Twitter is only good for telling people what you do. I have not heard it pays people. tell us how if you find out.

I use twitter seldom but in my opinion it is good only for people that do not have other ways to express because there's no democracy in their countries. facebook and mylot are far better... By the way i've never heard about earning money with twitter...

I don't think that Twitter pays... Not me at least Otherwise it's good, if you can get a decent amount of followers I myself use it to promote my sites and articles

Ive never used Twitter, but I suppose its popular as celebrities use it alot. Personally, I prefer Facebook.

I am on twitter and I generally don't really use it! In my experience there is probably less backlash from a twitter page as you cant play games and look at groups. The only problem with twitter is pretty much like facebook in the fact that they are both horrible unless you have a lot of people that are either following you or on your friends list. I myself am considering not doing anything on facebook and just doing twitter because there seems to be less backlash!!!

Ive been a member of twitter for about a month, I joined it when I didnt have a job as I was bored, I used it a lot when I wasnt working as I followed a lot of local job sites, thought I might find a job on there as there were some posts about vacancies in my area, I used it a lot, usually put things up about the TV progs I was watching. Now Im actually working I dont really have time for it, I dont go on facebook much either as was getting annoyed with all the farmville invites/updates I was getting (I dont care if someone has grown a virtual field lol). If you have a lot of friends on twitter and you want to follow a lot of people then you might like it, they have these twitter trend games that people play, basically they tell you what the trend is, could be a celeb or tv show and you see what people have said and you can post something as well, kind of like when everyone has similar status updates on facebook. If its free with 3 then try it out, if you dont like it you can leave it, I dont know how people get paid though on there.
