"I Love You" - these three words are the sweetest when combined. This line is the most famous among all statements in English vocabulary, it's overly used by people of all places and races.
How many times do I say these words in a day? I cannot count the exact number but I'm so certain that I speak this line to my husband & my son (my family), my parents, siblings, relatives and friends everyday. Sometimes my actions best express how much I love them when I cannot say it in words. For sure, I never fail to show them my love every single day of my life.

I never say it unless I mean it. I think its a very over-used phrase & frequently used insincerely, flippantly or from a sense of obligation. I tell the few people who matter most to me - but, not every day as it would diminish its worth IMHO. I know those people know how much I love them through other ways but, I tell them often enough that they wont forget

When we say "I love you" it should be coming from the heart or else the true meaning of it is not well conveyed. Thanks wizzywig for posting here!

It hurts me to read this question in the fisrt place... as I can't count how many times I have said those magical words...Not because too much, but too few to mention..I don't want to regret this but at the same time I just feel I can't do it..Ohh..I'm so embarassed and jealous to people who can say it lightly..

Really? Aren't you the showy type? If you're having difficulty telling these words to those you love, maybe writing it on a piece of paper & leaving a sweet note for them to read while you're away is a good start.. Have a great time!

I care for my husband who has als. I could have put him in a nursing home, but I love him too much even though at times he exasperates me. I do not say I love you in words, it is my actions.

I am not that verbal in my affections. More of a writer then a speaker. I do get upset when he will not eat as I love to cook and now we are getting help. My friends told me I have to have more breaks. I am sure that the only place where he will recover is in heaven. I just pray that he does not suffer and that when he does die, it will be peaceably in his sleep.

I'm sorry to hear that your hubby has that kind of disease. You're such a patient and loving wife, you don't need to say the words for it shows clearly how much you love him. May your husband recover from such illness in God's will..Continue praying & be strong always.

Yes, I have an ideal home that's filled with love and happiness. It's what I always dreamed of having when I was a kid since I didn't belong to a complete family.

I say it twice or thrice a day...One in the morning, mid-day and at night...But I am pretty sure it comes from the heart. I don't want to say it as often like most people do, so as not to lose the true meaning of the words I LOVE YOU, by saying it frequently it becomes just an idiomatic expression.
Yes! it is better to express it through actions...rather that say it as often but can't be justified by the actions you show to them...As they say "ACTIONS SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS"...

Hi mackie, you've just said it right! When we can't speak the words by our tongue, showing them our love & care through actions is the best option. Have a good day, my friend!

Oh yes, 'I Love You' is the most wonderful statement. I say it to my fiancee a lot of times, when we are talking over phone. She is away from me for some time and all our conversation is only over phone. I trust I use this sentence at least 60 times (once per minute) while talking to her... And I really do mean it...
Have a nice time!

As far as I am concerned, I seldom say the words" I love you" so frequent. When my girl frined and me are toghter, I may just say the words" I love you " now and then. I think the love is not just on the mouth, but also should everyone put your words into action. I think action speaks louder than the words.

No matter how many times you say "I love you" to a person, it is not enough proof of your sincerity. I do believe that True Love is best shown through actions. Thanks for sharing, monkeylong!

I don't have someone to say I love you. So none. And I can't say to my mom and sisters they will think I'm sick or something. lol.
I guess its not yet available for me.
If their is a chance then that will be a time I can say that word.
For now I only say it in songs.

Yes, some people aren't comfortable saying these sweet words to their loved ones but If you can say it as much as you can show, it's a lot better. A good day to you! Thanks for your response.

Oh.
I am one of those people who are too shy to say those words to my mom and my sister. I know it's very pathetic, but it's just that we are not used to doing it. We are not very vocal when it comes to expressing love to one another. The only time we exchange those words is when we exchange letters, which happen during graduation days. Don't get me wrong though. I LOVE my family.

Come to think of it i dont tell my mom i love them every now and then, whenever its her birthday or mothers day then i tell her that stuff. I know its important to let them know how much you care but sometimes we guys have a different way of saying such. We are not good when it comes to expressing what we feel, we do it with action, but sometimes it wont hurt to go an extra mile and tell someone dear to you those sweet words... I love you ;) happy mylotting!

I know few guys who show affection through words & they are so rare, most of you is good in expressing it through actions. Speaking of moms, it's gonna be mother's day next month. A kiss with a hug is a great expression of our love for them, a card with grateful words inside can make them happy & of course saying "I love you" must never be forgotten (either spoken or written).
