Hi friend,
Depending on your physical and mental work during day slepp between 6 Hrs to 8 Hrs should be sufficient. How do we decide weather we have sufficient sleep. If after getting up, you feel fresh, then it indicates that you have sufficient sleep. For me about 7 Hrs sleep is sufficient. and I do sleep for about 7 Hrs everynight.

Like you, I also find it difficult to get that recommended at least 8 hours of sleep. I usually sleep around between 12 midnight and 1am and wake up by 7 in nte morning. And I don't have the habit of taking a nap during the day. I've been like that for the longest time already. About six hours sleep is fine with me. It's quite weird for me because on very rare times that i overslept, say for about 7 to 8 hours, i wake up with a heavy head and a bit irritable so as much as possible i don't wan't to sleep for that long.

Barely. I think at most 6 to 7 or worst 5. I really like watching so i always sleep late but then I have to go to work so i have no choice but to wake up early. I also read it is healthy but alas I'm not able to follow it. I read too that you will feel more sleepy if you sleep in odd hours than even. Don't know if it is true though, have not yet researched it.

I agree with you I too have the same problem. Normally I too sleep for about five hours. It is nice if we can sleep for 8 hours. There are people who do sleep for 8 hours, even if I try to sleep early I can fall a sleep for several hours.

I too sleep at an average of 6 hours a day. It does not matter whether I am very tired or not. My body have already adjusted to such sleeping time. Well, when I was young, I use to sleep at an average of 8 to 9 hours each night. But now, if I sleep more than 6 hours, I usually feel tired and drowsy as I wake up.

I only sleep 8 hours / night but just when i`m tired , because of the previously nights . Usually i sleep just 6 hours / night, and i`m so fresh . When i sleep 8 h, i feel tired when i wake up . I belive that time it`s more concentrated ( you can`t do the same work in 1 hour as you were doing some years ago ) , and we are just fine if we sleep just 6 hours .

hi sanjani, I usually sleep 5-6 hours everyday ever since I got married Got lots of chores to do and of course handling and taking care of a baby is no easy job. I'm a working mom so for me time is precious. I don't want to miss every second of it.

I always get to bed at 11pm and rise up at 4am the next day, so that's about 5 hours of sleep a day, No naps in the afternoon. It's just okay for me at my age. They said as you get older you get to sleep less unlike when you were still young. But sleep for me is very precious so I make it really restful at night.

Hi!
In my case I usually sleep 6 to 8 hours but the problem is "when" to start sleeping.
Most of the time, I can sleep only once I feel sleepy so if I feel sleepy by 2:00a.m midnight I will wake up by 9:00am in the morning.
Sometimes, I laid to bed by 9:00pm but I'm still awake until up to 5:00am in the morning.
I think this is caused by so many things still cropping up in my mind. So many worries, anxiety and stress.
But once I slept for 6 hours, I can feel to have a complete rest and strong again.

I usually get some 5 hrs sleep in the night & I try to have a small nap in the afternoon. This is my sleeping habits since a very long time & I am fit & healthy.I wont go to the gym or do the excercises but still healthy.A nap a day for about 20-30 minutes in the afternoon keeps the doctor away.

An article I've read claims that 5-6 hours of sleep are healthy for adults. Adults (us) needs just about that, 5-6 hours per night.
As for me, I'm able and happy to sleep around 6 or 7 hours per night.

Nintendo WII says it's good to sleep at least 7.30 hours or multiple of 1.30 hours. Indeed, when I wake up after exactly 7.30 hours I'm fine, while if I start to sleep again for half an hour I'm completely messed up and still tired. And of course it's good to go to bed between 11 pm and max 1 am... Ciao!
