Hi mylotters, I just want to know if anyone here is brand conscious when they shop at the mall or anywhere? I must admit, before I was really brand conscious. I wanted my stuff all to be branded like chanel, marks and spencer, lacoste etc. But now, I think I've overcome that want and now ok with not branded items. Compare to those branded items ofcourse, it is cheaper. How about you? Do you like your stuff branded ones?

if I shop for branded,I will buy the classics.I prefer branded white and black polo shirts, blouses, and shoes.for dresses,I can buy a lot of nice designs through vintage and secondhand stores.I want to spend on something that will last for sometime.

That is very good advice indeed, I completely agree here! If you are going to spend a lot of money, make sure it is a classic item that you will like and wear for years! Otherwise, it just doesn't make much sense, does it?

Im not bothered what brand anything of mine is, except things like make-up and other skin products because I find my skin reacts badly to others, but with clothes, anything will go, as long as I like the clothes!

I have the same problem with earrings, my ears go red and start to hurt, I have a similar reaction to some creams, my face starts to go bright red and feel like its on fire so I usually end up scrubbing my face with cold water, so when I find a brand I like and can use then I stick with it. Im so glad I dont have the same problem with clothes, Im a bit of a shopaholic so would be devastated if I could only afford branded clothes, it would be too expensive for me!

Hi chiepao,
Nope, I'm not really brand-conscious, especially nowadays, the economy is down and we really do need to be practical. Sure, it's nice to have branded things once in a while, especially because you invest in the quality, like gadgets, appliances or a good pair of jeans. But I tend to splurge only on the important things. But when it comes to clothes, accessories or shoes, I'm not picky, as long as the style and quality is good, I would go for it. It's not how much it costs, but how you wear it.

I don't like all brands, but I do like some brands. I have also learned which brands fit me and which don't, so of course I only buy those that fit me like a glove and flatter me. Branding itself is not of any importance to me though!

I really dont like branded clothes cause they are really expensive. Its better for me to wear clothes that are cheap than have to wear clothes that are really expensive. I also dont like buying expensive clothes cause I always think that I would be able to buy more things for the money budgeted in a branded clothing.

To some tiny goods such as glasses, books or something i won't mind what brand it is.But to some big stuff,or in other words expensive stuff, brands have great influence on my choice. After all,a well-received and famous brand is often quality guaranteed. Besides, the after-sale service is always better .

In terms of gadgets, yes I am pretty much brand conscious mainly because branded gadgets have a more reliable materials in their equipment’s and they are more long lasting compared to non-branded ones, also they have a reliable warranty certificate.
But with garments, I pretty much weigh affordability rather than buying a designer brand. Mostly because, they are just the same garments the thing though is that the other is just overpriced.

It is conditional for me. If about buying electronic products, I am brand conscious, but if buying for apparel, I am not. I think, there are some kinds of product that we need to be brand conscious. But, we also need to consider about efficiency, because known branded goods are not always better than other not known branded goods.
