I have my own tastes and preferences when it comes to TV shows and I guess everyone else does too. I tend to like sci-fi and fantasy TV and many people I know don't like them. I am not really into watching sports at all, but I will watch some music or comedy shows now and again to lighten my mood. _Derek

I almost never watch television, and we do not have cable, etc. I enjoy game shows like Jeopardy and Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader? The other night I watched "Who Do You Think You Are? and I like home makeover shows a lot. If I had HGTV I would watch those kinds of shows all day.

I like the CSI shows, criminal minds, House and once in a while an old picture. I prefer to read the news at the computer because I can follow it where it began. I almost never watch sports, but I realise it´s very important for a lot of people. Basically it depends on each person.

Dear Krupesh,
Oh yes, I enjoyed television program very much.
I normally will watch those good movies that I
did not managed to see in the cinema. I would
advise the National Georaphic channel as it is
very educational and widen our knowledge. The
History Channel is great to discover the myth,
mystery of time and expert's review on certain
topics. Sport is definitely great for those who
sports' fan and CNN New is good too.
Cheers and have a great day :)

I think there are too many shows on television that are depressing and show some really uncomfortable things. The news is even depressing a lot of times. So I would recommend any shows that make you laugh. That is why I love comedy shows and that is basically what I look forward to watching. Some of my favorite shows right now are Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory and Cougar Town.

Tv watching is an incurable addiction. So what I feel about this idiot box. How people spend hours after hours watching this TV thing I wonder very often.
Watching TV is a personal choice and hence the recommendation to others hardly arise. Whatsoever you recommend me to watch , I might not like. Like you watch music channel but I rarely visit them.
I watch news, selective sports and discovery and and National geography channel if I am to sit before this. And like wise I suggest others not to miss too often Discovery, NG, Fox History and Animal Planet.
Jai ho....

Well I do not know what to recommend to others as everyone has different tastes in their TV viewing. But myself, I do not ever watch the news as it is always so negative and depressing. I like to watch sports shows and documentaries.
The sports that I like to watch are Motorcycle racing, Cricket and Australian Rules Football. In particular I like to watch documentaries on far off destinations or history. I really like to learn about other parts of the world so travel shows are always my favourite.

I usually just watch the news. Cable channels are passe to me because of Tivo and downloads. Why wait for a show when I can watch it on demand without any commercial breaks? However, there are shows that I get addicted to and watch rerun after rerun like criminal minds and ncis.

to me i would recommend the shows that the person i'm recommending to would most probably enjoy.
i watch all kinds of tv shows.. even the cartoon shows. i would spend time to even watch shows that i find uninteresting sometimes, just so that i really know what and why i don't like the show. i would recommend people to start watching more cartoons. have an idea what cartoon is about what.

I recommend some of you to watch Glee. Glee is a very good program although some language are not appropriate for General audience. I like the fast pacing of the story and of course the song they choose to sing. I even downloaded most of the song so that I can sing along. I love the character and I love the episodes.

krupesh,
I think the norm here would be the big names like the Amazing Race, CSI, NCIS, the House, Desperate Housewives or Survivor; but I would like to name some other worthy ones.
For one, I would seriously recommend NBC's Marriage Ref, I am not promoting quarreling and then go to the television networks but I would recommend it for other reasons.
It is really both entertaining and educating where it is family or rather relationship orientated especially where we get to learn how to be humorous when we go about living with our differences or conflicts.
The other one would show would be CW (CBS and Warner Bros) network's Life Unexpected, I have to say that this drama is really down to earth and has real life issues here. It deals and portrays all relationships namely parent and child, single parent issues, boy and girl, marriage, school, juvenile and fostering. You really should listen to, the in between the lines of the show.
I am not sure if you could actually watch them at your place but if you can, do give them a try.
Cheers.

Now that The Gilmore Girls is not longer, I recommend The Good Wife, Desperate Housewives and Supernatural. There are many more programs I enjoy such as the C.S.I. ones and we have several good Australian comedies you may not have heard of. I don’t watch as much T.V. as I used to but I still enjoy my favourites.

Theres a lot of good shows to watch these days. theres chuck, a geek-turned spy story, psych, about shawn spencer who solves cases using his hyper-observant eye but he doesnt want them to know so he says hes a psychic, the medical drama house, and how i met your mother. why dont you give these shows a try and tell me what you think? :)
