What is the first thing you think about when you wake up?

The first thing I think about when I wake up is more sleep. Some people may think about what their schedule is like for the day. Others may think about what they're going to eat for breakfast. Some may realize that they are late for class or work. Many may think about the dreams that they had. What about you??

As odd as it may seem but as soon as i wake up im really thinking bout giving myself another 5 to 10 more minutes of sleep again lol . I dont know if its a guy thing or what but i tend to do that most of the time. Its as if my eyes are set to close again and sleep some more just after i woke up lol

Lol, I do not think it's a guy thing. My female friend also tries to sneak in an extra few more minutes of sleep. If we are tired we try and get every minute we can of sleep so our bodies can regenerate. Would you rather sleep or eat? That's always been a tough one for me. =)

I used to run in the morning for a couple of miles. Now my elder years are making me lazy. It is good to work out in the morning for it increases your metabolism for the rest of the day. I need to get an exercise routine before I become morbidly obese. Keep up the good work!! ;)

hie eddy, the first thing i think when i wake up is to thank God for the blessed day as He has blessed it. i thank Him for all the wonderful gifts to me and ask Him to unwrap them for me to live my day and enjoy God's blessings, mercy, grace and favours. I thank Him for my family, relatives anf friends and pray for peace and rest. my schedule for the day was prepared the day before. breakfast menu , lunch and dinner menu and what to wear were all planned the day before.so i get up knowing where i am going and what to do for the whole day. of course there are changes along the way which i take in my stride. that is life and its full of challenges but i must be prepared. i try to have a cheerful disposition.

Hey dove. I like the imagery you portrayed in God unwrapping the gifts that he has given you. I'm amazed how you prepare your schedule beforehand, even down to what you are going to eat and wear. I wish I was that organized. Do you write it in a journal? That's good that you have a cheerful disposition despite changes to your pristine schedule. Good day to you. ;)

hello eddy, thanks for your comments. God's gifts are wonderful and He unwraps them like presents to me. gifts like joy, laughter, going and reaching office safely and securely, making sound decisions on personal and work matters, family needs, parts and parcels of lif etc. all these are His gifts and we have to work on them. if the gifts are not open, we wont know what ir required of us, right. oh yes, what to wear the next morning,is good to prepare before hand ( before bedtime), so that in the morning ,i just put on and we are out the whole day in the chosen attire, viola. same with meals, the breafast is already done and put in the fridge for the next morning. simple breakfast but still needs planning. the lunch is from the previous night dinner meal that i have prepared and just heat up the next day by the children . if the next day, i am at home, then its freshly cooked lunch. i cook dinner every evenong when we eat in, i thaw the food, all these are planning. perhaps my meals are simple and that actually i am used to it and it comes like second nature. you can try all these tips out. even like sleeping at night, just pray to God that you need a good nite sleep and rest to refresh and renew you and tell yourself to be up by a certain time, you will be amaze you are can actually wake up around the time you have chosen. the marvel of our mind, body ansd soul. have a good day eddy

I have tried to tell myself to wake up at a certain time but for the most part I just rely on my alarm clock. I can usually wake up at a certain if it is part of my routine that I have. You have a nice cozy schedule. My life and schedule are still erratic and I am still trying to find the right path for myself. Looks like I need to work and pray harder for the well being of my friends, family, and for myself. Have a good day to you as well. =)

My first thought would be...what to make for breakfast AND lunch... and lol...my cafe at CafeWorld on Facebook. I have no time to think of my dreams or anything that has passed. I also think about what classes my son has on that particular day and what else needs to be done that day.

That's good that you keep track of your son's education. Lol. Do you go on Mylot or CafeWorld more often? I hear CafeWorld is very addicting and because I am already very addicting to Mylot I think I'll stay clear of CafeWorld. I seldom remember my dreams as I do something else the dream fades away into but a wisp. I only remember the dream if something along the day triggers the dream. The day is all but beginning.

Well, we are homeschooling our older son...so, I definitely need to plan that besides the classes in music and animation that he goes to. Then we need to work in music practice, swimming and playtime. So, that IS a lot of planning for a 9 year old(and his mother!) CafeWorld is the latest addiction (a few months now). I tend to get addicted to something for a while..then give it up totally. I've been on and off myLot for 4 years now. At a point I was on here 24x7. Of course, with 2 kids and a home to manage (not to mention the job I quit), I don't have the time to be addicted to anything 24x7 now.
Atleast, you are fresh at the start of the day:) That's good!

Those are a lot of things to handle. Wow, being a mother sure is difficult to mange the life of both your family and your own. I'm sure you receive much fulfillment by helping build and creating your family. Good luck and keep up the good work!! I try to stay away from things 24/7 but I tend to falter.

hi eddyspaghetti,
The first thing I think about when I wake up is to say even a little prayer to God. I thank Him for giving me again another day to learn; another day to be with myl loved ones; another day to correct my mistakes in the past; and another day to praise and glorify Him.Sad to say but there are lots of people who forget the most important thing to do once they wake up. For me, to start your day in a prayer is the best thing. It is because by means of it, I know that God will surely guide us and help us to be strong. I know that if we starts our day with a prayer, whatever comes along, we can solve it or we can face it because we consult God first before we do anything.

I woke up today from a dream that I was learning how to fly. Sometimes I wish that dreams could become a reality. It does make sense to pray when one wakes up so God is to be happy with you and watch over you throughout the day. God will help people with their problems if they pray to him. Good observation. I hope more people remember to thank God for another day that they alive. =)

Praying when you wake up is good. Do you also pray before you go to bed? I should start praying to God in the morning and more frequently at night. I hope God gives you and your family a blessed day.

That is good that you put your priorities and responsibilities first before doing fun things. Once you get the hard stuff out of the way you can play all day. =) That it was my dad always taught me, unfortunately I am lazy and I still sometimes choose to do the fun things first and procrastinate for the hard stuff. Good Morning!! =)

The first thing that comes to mind when I wake up is what time is it already. Next would be the chores or To-Do list that is running in my head. I try to accomplish most of those chores that I list in my head because it will just pile up if I miss out on just one.

Having a daily routine is good but does it ever get boring? I also have a routine but it changes up from time to time. What does your daily routine consist of?

Do you enjoy listening to an upbeat tempo for music? I do not have TV in my bedroom so I cannot wake up to the TV. I hope all our days are lovely and productive! Music often makes me want to dance, so I hope you dance out of bed to start the day! =)

I'm surprised that so many people here thank God. It is just a wake up call (no pun intended) to myself to start praying more and asking for His help. Prayer can go a long way and can often be seen as a form of meditation calming one's soul. Have a happy morning!! =)

I usually think about more sleep when I wake up. My favorite thing is to wake up of my own accord by sleeping in until my body wakes me up. I don't like being woken up to actually do something like go to work, school, or go to the gym. I guess I'm just a lazy individual. From now on I hope my days are more productive. I hope your day today and all the rest of your days are wonderful. =)

I'm guessing that sms means text message or some type of personal message. That's how you know you actually love someone when the first thing you think of is greeting the one who is special to you in your life. Sweet. =)

It is good and fun to catch extra hours or even extra minutes of sleep. Those are part of the good things in life- to be able to sleep in. There are times where I do not plan my day and just let it run its course, taking each step in stride.
