You want to say that the Indian cricket team is the best in the world?I am sorry my dear friend that will be a wrong conclusion. It's true that the Indians are at the number one spot in the test ranking and within the top three teams in ODI format but did India really played well against other top ranked teams like Australia and South Africa? How many times have they won against Australia in Australia and against South Africa in South Africa? There are certain weaknesses if the Indian team which I want to share with you..1)They lack quality strike bowlers and in order to win atest match you need at least 2 or 3 strike bowlers.Indians have only Harbhajan and to some extent Zaheer who is a bit inconsistent...2) The Indian batting line up is not apt to handle short pitch staff and it has been exposed by other teams...3)they haven't been tested away from home too often.IPL is agreat festival of cricket however it will be wrong to assume that India benefutted agreat deal because of ipl..infact the Australians are more benefitted as they discovered the potential of Shaun Marsh and Shane Watson while India can't produce even a single good quality cricketer.

IPL is good format and I still feel the standards must be go up one more level. In the champions league not a single IPL team made it to semis. Finally Australian domestic champions won the Champions League. I still feel the ODI side need to improve in departments of bowling and fielding, batting no doubt is strongest in the world. I have to even see how is Indian team will hangle the pressure when Sachin retires from the ODI side. But no doubt IPL is good tournment for T 20 format but with these matches one cannot find new talented young players. They might find it for shorter T 20 format but hard to find for tests and longer ODI's..
