I stop praying when I go through difficult times. I will be mad at Jesus for giving me hard times. But, it will last only for one or two days and I will continue praying. Most of the people I know pray a lot more during difficult times. They say prayer gives them confidence and calms down their mind.

i pray everyday. im a devoted catholic and i believe its a communication between you and God. i think prayers are definitely intense when you're going through tough times but with a problem or none its still a way of reaching out to Him.

I understand that it is normal to have the problems in life. Sometimes problems you extremely disappointed and you will forget all positive quotes at that time. Disappoint sometimes makes me lose patience and be in a horrible situation. I can't be in that sitaution for a long time and I will soon get back to the mercy of god.

I stop praying during difficult times.I too get mad at God for giving me hard times. We make God our punch bag during tough times and hold Him responsible for our difficulties of life.
Like you i too get cooled down after day or two and start my prayers again.
But life has taught me not to expect anything from anybody including God.Just give your 100% to yourself and do not rely upon others.

I understand that we should keep our expectation low and therefore we can be happy if things go wrong and will have courage to handle them. But, what if you don't even get the minimum expectation. Sometimes you feel that you desrve something and it is not easy for a person to take it if you get zero percentage of soemthing you deserve.

You bring up some very interesting issues~! I pray every day, multiple times a day since I want God in my life every day. During the hard times, I pray more as I ask for strength and guidance to get me thru. There are times when I know he was carrying me along. To me, a prayer is just as important as showing my appreciation for what he's given me and created for us. I can see a beautiful sunset and right then I bask in the beauty and tell God that it is beautiful and thank him for it. And I do find it tremendously comforting to feel that God is by my side and with me in the good times and the bad.
It's interesting that you pray less during the tough times since that is the only time that some pray. God wants to love and support each of us so maybe next time you are overwhelmed, simply tell him that you are and need his help. You will get the support but perhaps not in the manner that you expected it. Take care and may God bless you every day!!

Yes am like u. I have stopped praying. I am struggling with my life since the past 8 years. I have lost the best of my times. Now i feel very disappointed having lost my best years on my life. I started praying when i was about 10 even without being told by anyone. But what i got in return was all only probs and probs and failures even though i have been very sincere with all my work. Now i dont pray.

One verse i read in the bible says: NEVER STOP PRAYING. As i noticed that most of the time people just pray because they have needs, problems or trials they encountered in their life and need to solved by the help of our GOD. But that is not right because after they get the answer for their prayer they stop praying to HIM, they forget that GOD help them solved their problems.. Another verses says that, In everything we should give thanks to HIM. As for me, we should be more be prayerful and give thanks to HIM all the times either bad or in good times because everything has its own purpose that only GOD knows what it is.. Praying also strengthen our faith to HIM. It gives us hope that GOD will absolutely answer all our prayers to HIM.

i am brought down to my knees to pray alot when trials arrive. however, i don't always do this. in my despair, i will just say out loud help Lord. i know He knows my heart and what is going on. i pray for others too with or without trials as well as for myself. i sometimes feel angry at God or away from Him. i feel guilty for this.

I don't use to pray everyday as in your religion's practice.I just go to temples on special occasions and other times I just remember or think of god in tough times.Surrendering to the almighty at those period helps me to cross them with ease. And I remember god in my happy moments too to thank him.

I pray more in difficult times. It helps me to feel that I'm not alone. That someone else is in my corner, giving me strength. Life is full of difficulties. And I do believe in the idea that, if we didn't have bad times, how would we know how to recognize and appreciate the good times? Getting through the rough times makes us stronger. And, a lot of the time, it is us who got ourselves into the hard times to begin with. So why be mad a Jesus or God? Just buckle down and get through it.

I dont stop praying even if everything else fails already. I just take it as a challenge for me that God is trying to measure how much i can take. But my faith still will never waver no matter what .I will still pray and ask God's assistance even if it looks like theres no hope anymore. Thanks for asking and always remember that we should never let go of our faith and always believe in God's mercy no matter what have a great day!

The Lord wants us to pray more to Him in difficult times because He wants to be trusted and in Him, we shall find peace and understanding. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
