i was really trying to avoid this entire thing.. but this is too much really.. pretty much everyone is aware of tiger woods` deplorable treatment of his wife and the humilation shes had to endure because of his antics. but rather than scrap him as a spokesperson (arent there usually morals clauses in contracts involving public figures?) Nike has embraced the entire ordeal and even ressurrected woods` late father in their most recent ad http://www.popeater.com/2010/04/08/nike-commercial-tiger-woods/ the gist im getting from this is a ploy on heart striongs and sympathy out of those who admired and respected the late Mr. Woods.. and saying if HE wouldnt judge his son.. nor should anyone else...buy more shoes im quite disapointed in Nike, especially since i always buy their sneakers, and im seriously considering finding a new brand when the ones im wearing need to be replaced. would you still buy a product whos spokesperson was a despicable human being? has this ad changed yer oppinions of Nike altogether? does anyone remember what happened to KMart when kathie lee gifford was found out to have her clothing line made in sweat shops powered by small children?

Really everyone commit mistakes, Haven't any one who judge him committed any wrong doing? You may say he is too bad of a person but who are we to judge? He may have committed wrong but we are out of that. It is between Him and his wife.

as a public figure... he loses his rights on it being just between him and his wife. especially when he goes on live tv and announces such.. and then his mistresses all clammer for the same attentions on the screen. its the price one pays for wanting to be "famous" does everyone make mistakes? yes.. but his actions werent MISTAKES.. they were well thought out calculated planned disgusting deeds that he KNEW better about before hand and CHOSE to do them anyway. and when we make "mistakes" or deliberately do such things, we pay the consequences ie, loss of job, friends, reputation etc. tiger should have to pay the same price as well

That's right! And maybe if it was a one time slip (which is still inexcusable), like he had a few too many drinks and just got stupid, maybe it could be let go. But he did this repeatedly, with multiple women. And he had elaborate plans to keep it concealed. He should not be rewarded with more money from Nike. And I don't believe that he deserves our sympathy either. My sympathy goes out to his wife, who has been lied to, hurt and humiliated. I wouldn't have blamed her if she went after him with a golf club. Chalk it up to a "mistake".

Get over it, please. Bill Clinton is a public figure, and look what he did while he was president. While what Tiger did was reprehensible, at least he didn't do it on the taxpayers' dime. And hey...Clinton really didn't pay that much of a price. I say Tiger should receive the same treatment. Just a thought.

I agree 100%. It is despicable, and I'm SO tired of hearing about Tiger Woods. Now for Nike to basically try to use this to make a profit! Does no one have morals anymore? Look for New Balance instead. If you go on their website, you can even find some that are made in the USA. So you'll be giving Nike the message, AND supporting our country. Two birds, one stone! =)

If I don't buy Nike, it's probably because they support the abortion industry, not because of anything Tiger did. Tiger's already apologized; the ball's in Elin's court now (no pun intended).

tessah, What is wrong with Nike giving Tiger a second chance? If Elin could forgive Tiger and want him to remain as her husband and father to the family, I just do not find anything wrong with Nike's decision here. As much as it takes for one to admit one's mistake(s) and evolve, it will also require the other party to forgive and support. I just do not see the point of going emotional to the effect of changing your mind with Nike's products, which I believe had been chosen by you basing on a different consideration than celebrity endorsements. Just don't let your emotions or heart rule on this one.

And everyone should stop buying nike products. I don't buy nike in the first place, cause it just sucks. They're like over priced walmart shoes. He should not be rewarded for what he did. I'm tired of all this feel sorry for Tiger Woods. They keep on talking about people showing their support for him. What about his wife? Screw those easy gold diggers, and screw him. What about his wife? Everyone forgot about her. Someone needs to get her an endorsement deal.

I am still buying Nike shoes regardless of their image. I buy shoes because they are reliable and comfortable to my feet and NOT because LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Roger Federer, Jordan Kobe or even Tiger Woods endorses it. As an athlete, I don't think people should care who are endorsing products. It is all about the product itself. Remember this tessah: Nike is a good brand and proven good through the years. The shoes are soft and comfortable and not all brands can give you the same comfort your feet feel.

i do agree with you that Nike is an acceptional brand. ive bought their sneakers since i was a kid.. and now that i have kids of my own, i buy them for them as well. they dont wear out as quickly, theyre as you say VERY comfortable, and theyre well worth the expensive price they charge. my problem atm is with their ethics.. not their product. my views of them as a company has definitely changed after this.. when before, i didnt pay any attention as to who they had wearing their products for pay (i dont even know the people you listed.. im not a sports fan .
