A map or a phone?Which of these two do you prefer to carry during travel?

We normally travel by car. Then i only take a GPS and my phone. I hate maps. It is confusing.

I think that both of is important when we travel somewhere.but if I have to choose one of this I prefer map than a phone.Because a map can tell us the geographical location of the destination.

If I had to choose between a map and a phone while I was traveling, I would have to choose a phone. So many things can happen. What good is a map if you need help? A phone is a traveler's best friend. It is always there when you need it. When any traveling emergency arises, you have the security of knowing you are not alone.

I choose carry a mobile phone with me........... It will help to find direction.............

These are both important for me when I am travelling.maps that are full of specific information of the city or attraction can show the way we get there fastly and clearly. In terms of phone,it also have great impact on the trip. For instance,you can call to your friends or local service agencies seeking help ,which is a fast way.

Personally I would choose a phone because to myself reading maps are confusing. But it is still important to carry some sort of guide to your destination. I'm usually not the one driving so I just bring my phone and just call and talk to friends or text them. Still both items are very useful in travel. My final opinion would be both items should be brought during anyone's travels. -Rezz

dear cloud, i dont travel often but i guess both the map and mobile phone should be carried by a traveler. sometimes you dont have a signal so i guess the map will be handy. have a very nice day. ann

depends. If I'm all by myself and driving, then definitely a phone. Otherwise, especially if I'm on foot, I'd prefer a map. Because my phone doesn't have internet so I can't just pull up mapquest. I love maps.

hey Ij... I think that I should go for both.... I'll still get lost thought because I don't know how to use a map or I really haven't tried it at all... I think that a phone could be handy in doing so.. Without those two.. I will surely get lost...

If given an option to carry both, I would be glad. Because both are really useful when traveling. Map gives you direction, while phone makes you connected to others and in the case of emergencies, it's useful to make some calls. However, if to choose one out of these two, I would choose a phone. Phone nowadays are high-ends already. You can use it already to surf internet, which means you can access maps through the phone. two in one.LOL

If I had to choose then I would take a phone, you can get some these days with maps on them, the reason I would take a phone over a map is because even though the map would show me where to go the phone would help me if I got into trouble. So I would prefer the phone, and plus the light on the phone could help if I was in darkness somewhere.

I will take a phone with me for a travel.Because you can use the phone to keep in touch with your friends .When you meet some problems ,you can use call others for some advice.A map is useful ,but you can search the path of your travel in advance and also you can ask the natives the right way.So i prefer to a phone when travel.

if it were old times, i will bring both, but now we can install gps to our phone, so i'm just gonna do that. so i can have two with just bringing one :)

Hi cloudie! A map and a mobile phone are both very important to carry during a travel. But if I just have to choose one, then I would go for map, you can easily reach your destination by using a map. Because even you don't have a mobile mobile phone with you, you can always drop by to a store, phonebooth, or a payphone if you needed to call someone. The pathway is already seen on the map, you just have to follow it. When you don't carry a map, you will really have a hard time reaching your destination. HELLO MY DEAR FRIEND phone is important then map because if you have expensive phone so every thing is over there.next thing is if you have phone so you can ask and talk to any one so i prefer first phone then map. what you think?????????????????

Hi miss cloud!! I rather choose a phone during my travel, It's so hard to understand a map during my travel, how many times we used a map, and still, we'ew going no where. If i have a phone, i could easy contact my relatives or my family where i am just incase I missed the way what i am looking for. Have a nice day and Happy mylotting.. GBU....

i think phone is best thing to useful on travel because latest phones had gps you dont need to take maps with you.and you can play games by phone.

I always have my phone on me, but I'd prefer to have the map with me. That way I have a hard copy in front of me of where ever I need to go.
