Do you think MyLot Admin. putting up large banners upfront in "money related interests" reminding newbies not to promote referral links is a good idea?

I say giving yellow cards. 2 yellow cards = 3 days ban

Oh, nice idea! I like that. Is that "idea" original from you or do you know some other online forums who are using that disciplinary system?

It is not only addressed to newbies but to all mylotters. I've seen few seniors posting referral links here too.

Yeah, the other day, I saw someone with "900+ posts" promote a referral link.

Just when we see someone trying to bring himself a new referrals, we have to report his comment or discussion, no matter how many posts has. Rules are for everyone and they protect us from this evil spam.

i think this is a good idea and mylot admin could possibly consider this. and to think that not only newbies do this, even old timer sometimes forget that this is a violation.

I really don't think it would stop these members from doing it. They just don't care...if there is a chance to get a referral from doing it...they will continue. They could care less about MyLot or what the members of MyLot think about them.

You are right. There are people who do not believe that any rule applies to them as long as they do not get caught when they break it.

It's not a bad idea at all. Since most of the newbies or most probably even those old mylotters just signed up and agreed without reading the TOS of mylot.

i think the admin has to come up with punishment, like valkerion says, a yellow card, or banning the member for a few days, or maybe when the member keep doing it, maybe they can cut off the member's earnings :P

hi there, uhmm.. I think everyone of us should know the rules or TOS regardless you are new or old in this site. I don't think it will be a good idea to place banner on discussions whether it would be money related interest or what, for it may result to spamming and I personally don't wanna see banners spreading everywhere. (dizzy) LOL. I think there's no need for admin to create an advisory for that particular page/interest. Stating "no links allowed"..LOL. We all should be responsible in every action that we take and if our posted topic got deleted then, it is time to review the TOS and facts again.
