What do you like most for having a friend?

someone to be with ... someone who understands ... who will listen and all... another brother or sister perhaps??...

The best thing I like about having a best friend is that she knows everything about me and she is someone that I can always talk to, regardless of what is happening in my life. A friend is someone who is always there to listen and never judge you (at least not out loud anyway!). My best friend is fantastic as she is always there on the end of the phone with support even if we are miles apart at times. She really is someone that has been there for me for the last 10 years and I can say things to her without even having to say them out loud because we are on the same wavelength and she knows me so well.

I only have a few real close friends. They're my friends from highschool and from work. But most of all I think, a friend is someone who will listen to you, don't underestimate, and don't stab you from behind. It's OK to have a quarrel once or twice, but doing something that destroy trust would make him/her my enemy.

It amazing how two people who are not in any way related become so close. Born out of different parents and environment yet they gel so well that very often they lend an helping hand more than the so called relatives.

some say real friends are hard to find. not quite so, i think. you see, the problem with friendship is that we tend to set qualifiers and criteria to friendship. what's more is that we tend go with friendship only if we get something from it. people has this tendency to be selfish that once you get nothing out of a person (something of value) you can't consider him a friend. if we could look beyond ourselves, friendship is not that hard to find. instead of looking for benefits, how about we think of things that we could give or help others with. if we could only share and not look for something in return everybody would be friends. love is not selfish, love is kind... so goes the saying. the same applies with friendship, for friendship is not real without love.

Friends are someone who are willing to share happiness and sadness with us. A good friend will understand us and accept us just the way we are. We can feel comfort to be who we are, and we don't have pretending to be someone else..

Having someone to share your time with and having someone to laugh with, cry with , share your pains with thats what a friend is . Life in this world will be so boring if you dont share your life with other people around you. my best friend other than my sister is my boyfriend. he is who i goto when im sad or even mad lol its also hard to be mad at each other so fights never last more than a few minutes. we are so close we know everything about eachother and my family treats him like hes "one of us".i always think about him and i have fun with him no matter what we are doin. i could be in the worst mood and yet once i see him or hear him i cant help but smile...i think thats a best friend=]
