"there are times the best is no damn good"

I listened to James Ingram's music a lot and last night I was struck by his song There's No Easy Way To Break Somebody's Heart. I don't know if he wrote the song or he had the same experience but I really felt him. I felt so sad about the line "there are times the best is no damn good", it also scares me, imagine no matter how good or close to perfect you are it's still not a guarantee that you are enough to someone you love. Ahh, songs like this make me sick sometimes....

I love that line. It says so much about how life works. It's applicable not just to love but to well, everything. Most of the time we work hard to be the best that we can be but being the best that we can be isn't an assurance that we will get what we want.
It's very realistic.

..hi.. I believe that songs are composed based from what's happening in reality.. and yes, its not a guarantee that you're good that you are enough to someone.. nobody is perfect and no relationship is perfect too.. it is just how we comprehend with the weakness of our partners, understand them, and accept them as they are.. sometimes, we thought we have the best person already, only to find out that we are not the best for them because they find somebody else whom they think and they feel as the best for them.. that's why in a relationship, we can't always avoid to feel pain but we should not stop loving.. as they say, if the person you love is gone, maybe a better person would come later whom you will be able to spend your whole life with..
