Does anyone have sleep apnea?? I think I may have it, but not for sure. I am having a sleep study at the hospital this friday night. I have been severely weak for months. And I mean I have trouble walking I am so weak. Plus severe dizziness and headaches and I fall asleep at the drop of a hat. Even almost when I am driving. I am starting to feel like, ok, whats next?? It seems like a new condition pops up every month. I much have almost 20 by now from my digestive conditions, to diabetes, depression, carpal tunnell, high cholesterol, ect ... I am so tired of being sick. And I am suppose to have sinus surgery to remove polyps again. This will be number 6. I am really sick of that. Well, there is nothing I can do about it. Just continue feeling miserable and see if I can get well. Sorry to vent like this, but I have no friends locally here and my son is sick of hearing me complain! Thanks for listening. And if anyone has sleep apnea, please let me know!

My parents have sleep apnea. They both had to go to the sleep clinic to be tested. My dad said the guy next to his room was snoring so loud HE could hardly fall asleep. Actually, after my dad woke up around 4am, the guys at the clinic told him he could go home because they had enough information. Both of my parents could tell a huge difference in the quality of their sleep after they got their CPAP machines. My dad had an easier time adjusting to it, but I think that is because my mom was diagnosed years before him and she had an old time mask. She lost 30 pounds and didn't even have to use it anymore. But they both spoke of having a clearer head, more refreshed after waking up in the morning.
I hope this solves some of your issues. There is no way to make everything better. You certainly got some unlucky issues! I know it doesn't seem fair. But I'll keep praying for you!
PS I think they put like electrodes on your head, so don't worry about having clean hair. The goo they put on your head to attach them is something you'll want to wash out as soon as you get home. At least that is what happened to my dad. It sounds like when I had my EEG and those dumb electrodes were stuck all over my head. And the goo on them made pulling them out of my hair painful. Don't you just love medical tests.

Thanks for the advice! Now I know what to expect. I just want to get it done and overwith so I can feel alittle better. I hope. Right now I am so weak and tired I can't do daily activities. The letter says you are suppose to wash your hair. Well, I don't mind goo. As long as I can find out what is wrong with me. Thanks! And take care!

I personally do not suffer from this ailment. I do have a close family member that does. My stepfather has a severe case. He is supposed to sleep with oxygen, but he doesn't like to follow through. He falls asleep at the drop of a hat. I know he doesn't mean to, it just happens because of his condition.

Your stepfather should really be using it. It could worsen and be very dangerous. That is what I have read about it. I to, fall asleep at the drop of a hat. If I am diagnosed with sleep apnea, I will be sleeping with oxegen to.

Hello lagirl, I guess you need to take some good rest for awhile to feel relax. I feel so much tension in you. A single stress is alright but more than 3 and more will really get you sick that must be the causes of what you're feeling now.
I don't have sleep apnea. About removing polyps from your sinuses I think it is a must that you really need to go again since it may be one of the causes for you having sleep apnea other than being diabetic as one of the main factor as well. Are you overweight? How's your lifestyle? These are some factors that may cause sleep apnea too.

Hi sheanne,
You are right. I am full of tension and stress. But there is no way to get rid of it. Yes I know I need to have surgery. And I will. I am over weight. Not obese, but over weight. Enough to cause me discomfort. I don't have much of a lifestyle. I am home most days except when I go to the store or doctor appointments. Thanks for responding. I do want to be healthy again someday but it will take some work.
