Long nail or short nail?

hi, short nail is better 4 all age people. i think long nail looking so dangerous. long nail contains lots of dirty things n these things r harmful 4 us. at d tym of eating if some dirts r fallen in d plate 4m d finger den we dnt see dat dis kind of wastes r stayed in d plate so in dat case unfortunately we r eating these dirty things. so we hav 2 avoid long nail 4 d betterment condition of our life

I like my nails not too long and not too short. About mid-length,. I do not the stubby length because you can do anything with them, I like to be able pop a drink with my nails for example.

Keeping long mails clean is not a problem. A little soap and water and a nailbrush (to clean under the nail is all it takes). Washing your hands just takes a few extra seconds. If they are your own nails, it is not a problem cleaning house, caring for children, etc; because, nails grow slowly and you have time to adjust how you do things. (Fake nails are a different story, you go from short to long in a matter of minutes and you don't have time to adjust so they get in the way.) A good example of adjusting is my typing. Long nails would cause a problem if you didn't have time to adjsut. Now, my nails slip in between the keys of the keyboard and they do not affect my typing. If I was actually hitting the keys with my nails, repeated striking the keys would cause finger pain and chip/break my nails. Of course, I cannot let my nails get too long; because, I have one nail on my index finger that curls down if it starts to get too long. Once that starts happening I have to trim them all a little bit to get them all looking the same again.

smileonstar I do not like long nails on people who are working around food or on people that work in beauty salons.I have had some ugly scratches on my head from the shampooer being long nails. I shudder when I was ill in the hospital and this nurse came in with ultra long nails and then she was going to give me an injection. I asked her to please wash her hands and nails thoroughly first. Her nails looked dirty and I was not taking any chances to injecting more than just medication into me. I was already ill and did not need any other illness on top of that. besides the doctors and nurses are expected to wash up between patients , that is even posted on the wall of the room I was in in the hospital.

From the men's point of view I don't like women with very long nails. I prefer French manicure. It is not very practical. My girlfriend had long nails and she had problems typing on her computer, using her phone, driving her car and doing a lot of other things.

Long nail or short nail, its according to once own beauty sense. Some feels long as beautiful but some short. Those with long nails will adjust themselves with the problem of looking after a child, typing, driving, etc. But if they cannot adjust then better go for short nails. Cleaning never comes as a matter. Dont we take bath daily and clean our body. Like wise long nail people must take extra care to clean the nails. otherwise health problems are at their risk. I love long nails. but after marriage i couldnt maintain it because of my smaaaaaaaaaaaaal kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have not yet encountered girls with exceeding long nails, won't they look like vampires or devils? It sounds quite scary to me. The only way to clean I guess is to use a nail brush but then it could accidentally break the nails if one is not careful. Won't it be very inconvenient to take a bath, and do other chores in daily life? For me I like to keep my nails very short instead, cut right to the edge.

I prefer to have short nails now. However, when I was a teenager I would let them grow out a bit, although not super long, and paint them. I got pretty good at it too. LOL Some of the kids thought I actually wore false nails. Gross! LOL Nope, I never did like wearing them as the darn things freaked me out. LOL Now with being a mom I have to keep them short. Because I just don't have the time to be able to make them look all purty anymore. LOL I never thought about it when it came to really long nails. I just wondered how the heck anyone was able to do anything with their hands as it looks nearly impossible without breaking a nail or 10! LOL Happy mylotting!

I choose short nails over long nails because, it is more healthier. I mean if you have long nails you will get many dirt. You can get different disease from having a long nails. You can have a disease caused by the parasites. And besides, long nails can hurt, or you can accidentally scratch someone because of your nails.

Hai Its all ways difficult to maintain long nail clean and in right shape. Mostly male dont grow their nails. I have seen many girls growing long nail they also maintain it clean and in good shape. Cheers

SHORT NAIL for me! I am poor at maintaining or grooming my nails to I keep it short so I can keep it clean more easily. I also tend to bite my nails so I rarely get a chance to see them grow long. As for my toenails, sometimes, they grow long but I cut them before they have chance to grow extra long.

Maybe they are going to use it to play the guitar, or just lazy to trim it.. I prefer short nails because it's easier to keep clean and i can't scratch anyone by accident.

I prefer having a long nail to look my hands long because i have a small hands. Cleaning up is not a problem too. But people working on a restaurants or fast food must have a short nail for hygiene purposes.

I want mine to be short, they'll look neater that way..

for me, long nails like claws devil and this really scary, right? I can't imagine how people who maintain long her fingernails when she scratched

Whenever I see my nails to my feet and to my hands getting dirty and long I usually trim it. So if we want to show yourself that you're cheerful or whatever you must be clean with yourself to be look nice and not stayed out with our friends, specially if you are in an interview you don't even know that they also looking that...how you treating yourself outside, their first impression is what matters to some employers...

I for one do not like to keep my nails long. I don't like the way my fingernails hit the keys on the keyboard and they tend to slide around, like I don't know which keys I'm hitting already. Plus they easily get dirty, and it looks really gross. I have the tendency to get my nails really dirty even when I've just gotten out of the shower. Plus, I have a child too, and having to take care of a little active machine like her can easily make you overlook having to scratch her accidentally. Maybe long nails are good for when you have a special place to go to, like a party or if you want to be chic. But for the everyday, normal lifestyle? It's so not going to work for me.

I like to have long nails and color it with nail colors. But during my childhood days since my parents insists me to cut down the nails, i used to keep short nails.Iam happy now as i can color it and shade with designs sometimes.

I want it short...i like it that way cause it is neat looking, plus the fact that i dont want long nails cause they tend to get dirty and i dont want to have the hassle to cleaning it every now and then
