Coffee in the morning
Coffee for Lunch
Coffee in the evening
Coffee during snacks
Coffee when its hot
Coffee before sleeping...
My father is like that. Everything he does and everywhere he goes he's really into coffee. They say coffee keeps you awake but for him it makes him sleepy. How worst can he gets. This summer? Heavy coffee instead of drinking juice and all he prefers to have a cup of coffee. Could be coffee sugar and cream or just sugar and coffee...
Have you all tried this?

I love coffee. It has been my companion during my sleepless school nights. It also gives me a boost of energy even if afterwards it's effect will be gone. I don't like the heavy dark coffee, so creamers and sugars are very important to me. Season is also not a factor for me, even if its summer, I still drink coffee besides they have the so called cold coffee. :)

I'm a tea drinker. Coffee eats a hole in my stomach...

No, I haven't. I have 2 cups of coffee in the morning. That is it. Any more than that would probably upset my stomach. Most of the rest of the day is devoted to drinking water.

I think your father and I will get along well. We have the same vice...! Anytime...anywhere it's still coffee for me...hot or cold. When I'm hungry...when I'm thirsty...when bored...when awake...when sleepy. It's already in my blood! Be it breakfast, snack, lunch, dinner, a cup of coffee is with me. I don't know...I'm already having acid stomach and heart palpitation...but still coffee drinking is my favorite hobby. My husband and children has been pissing me off by trying to limit my coffee intake but still I'm doing my way . A vice hard to break!

usually i take coffee while i feel tired, i take atleast 7 to 10 cups of coffee during the whole day. sometimes i leave my running classes and go outside my class to take a cuo of coffee. after taking a cup of coffee, i feel charming, energetic and cheerful and again i get strength to do my study with my full efficiency. during night study, i also use to take it after an interval of one or one and half hour. ultimately i can say that coffee makes me fresh all the time. but i know that taking more and more coffee may cause diseases but one day i have read about coffee in the news paper that it sharps the brain and helpful for strong memory power, it is the statement of an university of united kingdom. this sentence makes me crazy about coffee and i started to take it regularly.

It is amazing that your father can drink so many cups of coffee a day! I guess he must be somehow "immuned" to the stimulating effects of coffee. So does he drink a certain brand or type of coffee? I am actually quite allergic to coffee, at most I could only drink a cup a day, and the effects can last throughout the day. I prefer freeze-dried coffee with brown sugar and a little milk. It doesn't keep me awake but gives me dizziness and slows down my thinking ability. Therefore I do not dare to drink it when I am at work as it will affect my efficiency. Also I do not use artificial creamer for coffee because I've read they're quite unhealthy. Although it is said coffee drinking is good because of the rich antioxidants in it, I would think consuming it in moderation will be the best way to go.

I too consider myself as a coffee drinker, but I do my best to avoid drinking it at night or late afternoon because I will find it hard to fall asleep when its time. I probably drinks about 2-3 cups a day and I'm not sure if its too much! Sometimes I will alternate coffee for green tea or normal tea.

My father is also like that, he drinks plenty of cup of coffee in a day. but i advised him to minimize drinking coffee because it could affect his heart. He takes good care of his heart because he doesnt want to be like his mother. He follow my advice and minimize drinking coffee.
I missed drinking coffee because since I got pregnant, i stopped from drinking coffee. Coffee has a good benefits from our body, however it also have a bad effect because it has caffeine.

Hello, Yresh.
I'm infatuated with the unique flavor of coffee beans. However, I pay great attention to control the coffee intake for the good of my own health. Anything too much is not well. Coffee in moderation is fine and really enjoyable. I'm afraid that it is difficult to change your father's habit of drinking coffee in huge rapidly, but you may help your father provide juice or tea or something else to lose the coffee intake tardily. ^_^
Happy mylotting!

Try to control him because he might get diabetes out of it. Plus he might get hypertension. Coffee is a stimulant and my mother who studied health said that coffee can be really addicting. It's caffffein right?

i am a certified coffee addict. actually your father and i has things alike. it's hard for me to get to sleep without having a cup of coffee. i tried once i drunk 10 cups of coffee in a day. well that was too much for me. 5-6 cups is my average in a day. but i can understand your father. there are people who just loves coffee. what puzzlws me is that i was not a coffee lover before. i just started with one cup and before i knew it i have become hooked to it.

I live off of coffee year round. I think a love of coffee is genetic. My grandmother would drink 2-3 pots a day - even in the summer!
I'm not a huge fan of iced coffee. I like cold coffee - brewed hot then refrigerated, but not hot coffee that ice is added to.

I drink coffee year around, even in the summer. I also like iced coffee. I can drink coffee all day long and still go to bed and go to sleep with no problem. I also love chocolate coffered espresso beans, coffee without a cup lol. Some people are just coffee lovers, like myself.

I am not a big coffee drinker, and I don't think I could drink as much coffee as your father does. Albeit, I have had snatches where I was really into drinking coffee, but most of the time I never drank that much and if I did it was only for a few weeks.

Rule of thumb - anything too much is dangerous. Try to give your dad alternative drinks. Make him calamansi juice. He might be just lazy to do it himself. Coffee is all right once or twice a day. But tell him not drink it like water! Good luck!

Hi Eileen!!
Your right! I know that it's not bad for him. I also read that coffee can take away headaches. He's having pretty bad headaches and I let him drink one. He becomes okay. I know that it is bad for him because he's really doing this like everyday but you know when people get heavy old they want it there way.. ahahah

Me too!, I'm a coffee drinker as long as I can remember. I consume around 6 to 8 mugs a day, even in hot summers. I don't know, my head aches if don't drink coffee. Sometimes, even during lunchtime I have coffee as my beverage. I can't take it out of my daily routine. My mom's say it's bad for health but what can I do, I can't live without it.

i can not probably do that ... i am not a coffee lover.. i can only drink maybe once a month if i really need it badly specially if i am really sleepy... coffee is healthy in some way but should not be drunk in excess.. you know that four cups of coffee a day is healthy but it is not just an ordinary coffee as "nescafe" but four cups of brewed coffee is the healthy one...
