Although we can't do too much about it, naturally speaking, but are you satisfied with your height? Heels help ladies, and there are lifts for men or heels that add inches. Would a few extra inches have made any kind of difference to you, as you grew up, in playing sports for instance? Share your experiences if you would.

No i am not actually. I used to jelous watching other tall women when i was in teen age but after crossing twenty i started thinking differently.Actually i have girly charm.I have childish innocent face and i look younger than many other women thats a huge bonus in dating area. That attracts many men.So now a days i am really happy with my less height.

..Hi there piya, Well then, You have found your forte. It is all a matter of confidence as well, what's on the inside shows through. You can be very tall and have no self-confidence which puts one at a disadvantage. So let your personality shine, you won't have any problems at all. Be careful with the many men though, they could spoil you. "o) Take care, and thanks for your reply.

Well, just like you said, we don't have any choice so I learned to be contented with my height. Sometimes its hard doing stuff like reaching things on high shelves but I just looked on the bright side. :) Of course there are heels and people who are smaller than me like kids. So I make the best of it while they are still little, a good example is my niece. :) hahaha. :)

...Hi zhelles, Well, at least you have a great sense of humor. I am telling anyone interested, that I read an article that purports that you can grow more, even as a adult with exercise and the right food. Research growing taller or adding inches, there are books they say. They were not speaking of growth hormones, just food and exercise. Good luck with it. Take care, and thanks for stopping by. Oh yes, welcome to the ranch, enjoy.

well, as you say that there is nothing much we can do about it... i am pretty satisfied with my height even though it is not really the ideal one... i would like to add another 5-10 cm of my height if i can... i am not really that short... but i'm not tall as well... so if i can add a little bit more to my height, that will be great... take care and have a nice day...

...Hi there lingli, I did say that and since then I read an article that purports
that there is a way to grow more, even as an adult, with exercise and the proper food. They suggested you research a book on growing taller for more information.. I had never heard of such a thing, so it's worth looking into. They were not talking about growth hormones, just food and exercise as I mentioned. Thanks and take good care.

Dear friend,
I am 5ft 6 inches, even though some people say I am short but I could see there are people who are even shorter than me. Moreover I am not unsatisfied with my height. It is God's wish and I do accept it with full heart and thankfully.

...Hi there again SHAMRACK, I am the oldest and the tallest in my family. When I last had a measurement of my height, I was 5'8". That is good enough to get things off of top shelves and stuff. "o) I am more concerned with my weight, I have to reduce the pounds, not healthy. But if I do have a few extra pounds, I am glad that
I am taller. Take it easy.

...Hi SHAMRACK, It is great to hear that you are satisfied with your height. We all are born with genes that take us to where God wants us to be. We are given, in my opinion, what we need, to do what is necessary in life. Our character is what determines a lot of success in life, short is good, average is good and tall is good. We are made in His image and that is all good. Take care and thanks so much for your response.

I'm only 5'9" but I used to want to be taller than that. I thought I was too short, especially since most of the people I know are taller than me at least 6'. Didn't like it at first because people always had to look down at me (i didn't think I was that short), and call me little fella. I really don't feel so short, but the difference is that I lift weights, so I had bulked up easily packing on a lot of muscle. I ended up being bigger than a normal person, but I ended up being a little intimidating due to the muscle mass despite being shorter. People were still taller, but no longer did it bother me. I think it ended up being the other way around. I was still shorter, but I am called the big fella now. Some even claim that I am their bodyguard. Playing football used to be bad since I was the shortest person out there but I was stronger than everyone ( I used to push heavy SUVs to work my legs but so much that I could push a car in park), so dragging four people down a field was childs play. I like being 5-9, not too tall, not too short, but with the muscle, bigger than everyone.

...Hi there agent807, It is true that 6' plus is probably considered average for a guy in a lot of circles, but really 5'9" is actually tall not average. So it sounds as though you made the best of a good situation "o). The body building helped you with the things you wanted to do, that is great. My thought is that whatever size you are, how you carry yourself is how people will think of you, if you are proud of who you are and what you are whatever body shape and size you are becomes secondary, just a thought Be healthy. Take good care and thanks for sharing your thoughts.

...Hi kooltiger, It's a good thing that you are satisfied with your height. Again I say, it's what you have on the inside that determines what goes on.
Being confident and having the drive to succeed will go a long way, whatever height you are. Wasn't Bruce Lee kind of short? Dustin Hoffman is also kind of short. The Prime Minister of England is not that tall neither Sarkosy of France. So short or average height does not have to hold you back. Many average height women are great actresses here as well. Thanks so much for responding, take care.

Growing up, I was not happy with how tall I was. Because I was SO tall. When I was 10 I was 5'4. When I was 11, I was 5'9. I quit growing when I was thirteen and by then I was 5'11. I didn't mind being tall, except I was the tallest person in my school. I went to a really small school. There weren't even any guys as tall as I was. But I went to college when I was 16, and that was the first time I was around guys my height or taller. It just felt out of place before, being the tallest person in the school. Even taller than the teachers by the time I was thirteen. And I have big feet. So the shoes my size were either shoes that looked like "granny" shoes, or shoes with pretty high heels. I could only afford shoes at stores like Payless. And that is an inexpensive shoe store. Other shoe stores may have had shoes my size without heels, but I couldn't afford to buy them anyway.
Now, I love how tall I am. It doesn't bother me. And if I wear heels, I don't mind adding extra inches to my already tall frame.

...Hi there AmbiePam, You were on your way to greatness and didn't even realize it. If you started college at sixteen, your genes were just above average in all respects. My goodness, I graduated high school at sixteen, I am trying to remember if I would have been sixteen, if I had gone directly to college. Too late at night to calculate "o). Granny shoes, you are funny, but wanting to blend in when you are young is natural. I dropped my first name in seventh grade because I thought it was old fashioned and no one else had the name. Now different is cool. Thanks for responding. Great story. Take it easy.

..Hi pratheep, Great that you are satisfied. If you want to increase your weight, get a book on strength training, working out with weights. Doing resistence training exercises will start to build up your body and help you gain weight. Get a book on nutrition as well, for foods that will help you increase your weight in a healthy way. The internet will have information that you can print out, on the subjects I'm sure. Good luck. Thanks for responding, take care.

With only four feet 11 inches, obviously I am not satisfied with my height.lol! But, oh well, like you said, there's nothing I can do about it anymore than accept it that my parents' genes are not, as what Princess Diana said (about the Windsors), vertically enhanced..hehehe

...Hi there jlamela, You just gave me my first laugh out loud moment of the day. Thanks. Many small things pack quite a whollop, small stick of dynamite, an atom, a small star shines very brightly, and a diamond is small but very expensive. Height is okay, but lack of height should not make that much of a difference if we have determination, vision and perserverance. We will get what we want and need, with our maker's help. Thanks very much for stopping by, take good care.

I thought my height was good enough all things considered. I mean not short but not really that tall either. I am just in the middle with a great height where I wanted to be. I can reach things that are on tall shelves without much of a problem. At the same time, I do not feel like I have to duck my head a lot of the time when I walk around. That can be a bit of a problem.
So my height is rather good. I never had much of a problem with my height, whether I would consider too short or too tall. An average size, maybe a bit on the tall side. Then again, it has been several years since I measured my height. It is not really something that I think about it. Still I really have no problems with my height whatsoever. It is at the level that I want to be.

..Hey there megamatt, You sound quite satisfied with your height. That is great. Yes, there are those who have to duck when going through certain doorways. You could knock yourself out if you are not watching. I never thought too much about my height when I was growing up, I was a good height. I worried more about being skinny, now I long for those days "o) If I only knew then what I know now,
I would have celebrated my skinniness. Thanks for your response, take care.

...Hi fallingfan, That's a good thing. In my family there are two short sisters and two taller sisters, genes from one side of the family and from the other side. I was lucky I guess, I was the oldest and the tallest. The rest were stir steps getting shorter each time.
If I had grown into a shorter person, I think I would have made myself content. The only thing, as we get older sometimes we shrink, so we need to start with a little height. Thanks for stopping by, take care.

well yes im contented with my height but i guess i will grow up a still a few inches well playing sports is no problem what ever your height is even though there is a saying "height is might" sometimes speed is the key well some tall can't be fast like for basketball and sometimes being athletic is the key

..Hi werty, that's great, you should be content. In the business world, they say tall men go further, but I think anyone who has the drive and ambition to succeed will make a way. Sports tends to favor the taller players, but again will, and work will go far. Thanks so much for your response, take it easy.

i am not so tall, i even the shortest one among my best friends. In the past, i want to get taller but i don't like sport. One sport that i like is just only Martial Art, that can make me stronger but not taller. I try swimmming, but i can't. Basketball or baseball, they are too hard for me. I used to consume supplement pills that can make taller, that's what the seller says, but i don't see big differences after consume it. So then one day, i see someone older than me but he is shorter, than i think,"oh, so there is still a person who is shorter than me in this world". Then i start to grateful to God, and don't mind about my weight anymore.

..Hi firdauzi, Welcome to the ranch, enjoy yourself. I just mentioned to soneone, that I read that you can increase your height even as an adult through exercise and the right food, research if you are interested, growing taller or adding height. I didn't know it was possible, but this article, which I can't reference for you, said it is. That is a funny story, but we are what God made us and it is good to be thankful. Thanks for your response, take care.

..Hi mezulu, Well, let's not quibble over a few centimeters "o) You are a very nice height, I'm guessing you are a male, so even better. Height helps the males in the business world and otherwise. Although I believe it is what is on the inside that is so very important. A handsome, tall person who is vain and selfish, does not make the grade in my opinion. So have fun as you go and thanks so much for stopping by. Take good care.

hi artistry, when i was very young and in school, i was very short, thin, weak and anaemic. when i would travel by bus the conductor would give me a half ticket despite my protestations to the contrary. This continued till i graduated from high school. then my dad made me join a gym behind my house where i was made to do simple exercise by the gym master for a full year. This helped in toning my skinny and shapeless body to a great degree. After this he introduced me to weights and body building. with this my body started gaining weight and became sculpted as the muscles of my body developed and took shape.then i suddenly noticed that my height which till now had been just touching five feet suddenly had started putting inches and soon i reached a height of five feet seven and a half inches which is my final and current height. In our country most men average 5' 5" and i was quite satisfied with what i had achieved. Of course the present generation averages 5' 10" among men and the women are also quite tall at 5' 6".

...Hi veejay, Quite an amazing story. Your body was awakened and you were able to add inches of height, or perhaps it was what is called a growth spurt. When all of a sudden, we think we have finished growing and a few more inches come out of nowhere. I am sure you were happy with the change. Good job building up your body. I was first born and am the tallest of four girls. Two are the height of my grandmother, who was around 5'4", my other sister is close to my height but not quite as tall. It is good to have a little height as we sometimes shrink as we get older. Thanks for sharing your very interesting story with us, take care.

dear artistry,
during my high school days i was always in front of the classroom because i was small and i hated my height. during college days i reached 5 feet and still i felt like an elementary due to my height. i stopped growing at the height of 5'2", then i learned to wear high heeled shoes and that made me 5'4" well, i have learned to accept that is as far as i grow. hahahaha!
i was never active in sports except in grade 6 during the school intramurals. there was no representative then for our class and they just pointed to me to run 100m. i was the smallest but would you believe, i finished third overall. looking back, thinking how i did that is still a puzzle to me.
happy mylotting.

...Hi tigeraunt, That was great, you had the will to win and you did. I'm sure you were happy with how well you did. I happen to think, because I have never seen any kind of statistic on it. I feel that there are more average height people and shorter than tall people, so you are probably in the highest percentile of human beings. ..Hi catalyser, Height or lack of height should not be viewed as something that lessens your ability to do anything, unless it's trying to dunk a basketball "o). Even that would not be your every day job. So try to eradicate the thought of not being tall, as being a deterent to anything you want to do. You are a large person in character if you believe in yourself, forget height, go for whatever you want in life, if you have not done so already. Your vision is the means to your future. Welcome to the ranch. Thanks for your response, take it easy.
