Most consumers called a walk -in customer don't bother to compare prices before they buy.And some consumers used to canvass or compare prices before they will conclude to buy.
Different establishment,shops,retail/wholesale prices shops have different prices regardless in their product quality and branded products.
Are you a walk in buyer or a canvanssing buyer? Do you think its wise to compare prices to save.
How wise budgeter you are? Glad to hear from you my fellow myLotters.
Good day everyone!!

Hi cloud!
I definitely do canvass first, before buying. Especially if I'm buying an expensive thing, like gadgets or appliances, I make sure to canvass and compare prices first before making a decision. I wouldn't mind scouring around places and stores, I have my mission to find that "best buy" in a reasonable price. I don't like the feeling of buying something impulsively, then finding out later, the same item could be bought in a much lower price in another store. That's the worst regret of a shopper.

It all depends on what the product is for us. If we've got a pretty good idea of what the price should be, or what a good deal is we go for it. We consider the location, could we go a little further out and get it, and would it be worth it? Those are the things we think about when purchasing anything.
My husband and I are purchasing a car for a very good price, we have to drive out of town to get it, but with a car it's definitely worth it.

I am not a smart consumer as I always end up buying highly marked up goods. When I want to buy something I don't have the patience to window shop first to compare prices. I will just grab the item and go. Maybe time to discard this bad habit so won't end up being a victim of greedy businessmen.

Hello ms zandi,
I think its normal when patience is at hand but some item take a consideration before buying, you can make inquiry over the internet and make up the difference between products and sellers and you don't have to window shop as its really tiring though.
Thank you for sharing and Good day!

Yes i agree with Cloude31 that you should do your research over the internet .
Additional things you can do is compare there feature and read the the feedback over the net, take some suggestion from family and friends , and the brand that hold it back.

I always make sure I canvass before I buy. It has been a habit of mine ever since then. I could remember way back in my college times when I want to buy something it takes me at most 2weeks before deciding to buy something or not.
But sometimes, when the amount isn't that huge, I tend to just buy on the spot. But if we're referring to laptops, camera, pc, and all those gadgets and stuff that involve a big amount of money, I tend to sleep on it.
I also try to canvass through phone before going to a store just to see if it's available to them and how much it costs. But cost isn't the only thing I watch out for, I try to see the specifications, the benefits, the ease of talking to customer service (should I need them in the future) the probability of the thing becoming obsolete, and finally canvassing for other alternatives (which is usually cheaper with the same functions one would need).
I could therefore say I'm quite a careful buyer. But still I have a weakness, if it's kitchen wares, I always wear my brain on my sleeve. hehehee...

Canvassing has become more of a hobby to me so I dont' really mind canvassing and going through different stores to compare prices. Sometimes I even find a better design or a different version of the item which I like even better, so I get a better deal because of the "hard work" lol.

I check the prices before I decide to buy. Often I find that the prices are the same, and then I also check to see if one can get repairs in the city if something goes wrong. We bought a digital camera years ago and it was quite reasonable. Unfortunately we had to send it out of the country for repairs. (We didn't) so we bought a more expensive brand that can be repaired here in Canada or in the States.

i usually make use of the yellow pages and the telephone line to look for the product and canvass. if i can utilize the internet to see what i need, what possible brands and models are available, i search and make at call to the shop if there is available landline or if it is available locally. i used to make a canvass of what i have to buy, when the price is a little expensive, to at least save time, if not in the cost of the product.

Hello Ij!!!
It's really a good way if you canvass what you buy and not just buy without thinking if there is much more cheaper place than that. I also have been a victim of this sometimes. I buy at a certain place and saw that it is much cheaper in another venue. How good can that be? hahaha...

i also canvass and compare the prices before buying... . but if you are always shopping, i know, you are already aware what store offers the cheaper prices...
like now, i am planning to buy a laptop.. what i did was, i go to several computer stores and got their price lists of the computers they are selling... i knew then what store/s are much cheaper, on which i can save.

Hello there. I definitely canvass first before buying something specially for a gadget lover like me. With new gadgets coming out every month and a lot of stores offering them, canvassing is the best thing a buyer can do to make the most of the budget. You can even check prices of online stores as some of them offers lower prices and some can even have free delivery so you don't have to make an extra effort going out.

I am! I always do that but not because I am a "canvassing buyer", but because I really love to check on new things especially the price. I love to window shop. That's why I can't get away of comparing different products from different malls or markets. And in terms of balancing the budget, I always make it a point that I get the best quality with the best deal of price of course. Then, if the quantity meets the quality of a product, then I'll buy it. Also, I always practice "prioritization" before buying material things for my kids or for myself. I make it a point that all the important expenses like basic needs are met before buying luxurious things or for just satisfying your wants and not your needs.

Yes, I do compare prices and other conditions from store to store before making a final decision. However, the price is certainly not the only consideration for me.
I recently bought a new printer, but my first priority was which model to purchase. I checked online at manufacturers' websites and also compared reviews to decide which was for me. Once I had chosen the printer I then looked around at the various vendors for the best offer. It was also important that it could be delivered on a Saturday because I had no intention of taking a day off work to receive the delivery.
In the case of furniture it would a matter of visiting stores to find the most appropriate item.

Hi cloud31!
I am the type of customer who goes around to check on prices, brand, and quality before I decide to buy anything. That is of course if the need is not that urgent. Sometimes when we need something immediately, going around to check on prices is not practical. And for items that I already know where to get them, I just buy from the usual supplier.

It depends on the final price...if it's a big ticket item, then yes-I comparatively price it. I think it's wise to save whatever you can and unless you're strapped for time and need it now-then it might be better to save some cash.
Some people do this with groceries-but I don't have the time to shop around to save...I just go one place and get 'er done. I am not a big fan of shopping-plus I have to drive 30 minutes to get there-so in some cases I actually save by not spending the gas.

Hello, It's really good way if you canvass what you buy and not just buy without thinking. If there is much more cheaper than that. And being practical is now a day part of people life. I think it's already a part of our daily living, being practical in terms of money and budget balancing.
Happy mylotting!

i'm a canvassing buyer. But, for something special, i'm a walk -in buyer. How it could be, it's depend of my heart and my budget absolutely. Sometime, i always use my logical mind to compare price with benefits. I do it like for laptop, cellphone, printer, etc.
But, i usually use heart to buy something special like gifts. So, may be i'm a canvassing and sometime to be a walk -in buyer.
