Would you rather lived in a house or a condo? Do you enjoyed having a large area and a big yard, but what about taking care of it and doing yard work (cutting grass, mopping the floor, dusting the tables, etc)? Or living in a smaller space and having someone else take care of the yard work, swimming pool and trash, but on the other hand you need to dish out money every month to pay for the maintenance fee.
So what is your preference? Condo vs. house?

I have lived in a number of various housing dwellings over the years. I have lived in condos and they are convenient living. nothing really takes the place of living in your own home though. Having a house to call your own ia worth every effort. There may be more expenses and responsibilities in a house, but a lifetime of memories goes into building and having a house.

I'd rather have a house of my own to look after.
I don't know, but there's just something about owning your own home, that make you feel more independent.
Just last night on the news, they were talking about a new condo had been built and was now available for tenancy. The name of the new building is called: "Castle In The Sky"....and for good reason, I might add.
One can now own a suite in this beautiful new building, for a mere $17 millions dollars.
...makes me want to go out and grab one right away before they're all taken.
...yeah, right!
I'm sticking to the home idea.
At least I've got a better shot of paying for it, rather than hoping to win the lottery.

I prefer a house than a condo. As you describe, lives in condo may boost our expenses for maintenance. We can save a lot of money if we live in house.

Living in a condo unit is only ideal to a busy person who lives alone like bachelors, also it is ideal for a single people who works hard and doesnt have time to clean the house. But if your married with kids, it is not ideal for children to raise up in a condo unit and it is not practical for a family to live in a place which have a very high rental fee. It is best if the married couple still get a house.

I tried living in both(house and condominium). I can say that condominium living is quite comfortable. why? because everything you need is right there. for instance, 24 hour convenience store, small boutique, distilled water station, laundry service, internet cafe, salon and a lot more. plus, they have complete amenities and facilities (small gym, swimming pool, playground) and 24 hour security... the downside of living in a condo is paying monthly rental and association dues to a unit that can never be yours... i still prefer to live in a townhouse despite of not having all the comfort that you can enjoy in a condo.

I would rather live in a house. A house I'm proud to call mine. I love a little space in the backyard to grow vegetables and fruits. Some space in front to grow flowers too. A gazebo in one corner would be a refreshing addition to sit, chat and catch up with the kids.

there are really advantages and disadvantages with living in a house or condo. If you live in a condo the space might be limited but the maintenance would also be lesser compared to living in a house. it would really depend on your lifestyle. if you are into fast paced life and you don't have much time and do not need much space then a condo is good but if you are the laid back type who like to probably do gardening or home improvement then a house it your bet. personally i would prefer to live in a house and hopefully a house by the beach. that would be perfect.

I think it depends on the preferences. There are those who'd like to live nearer to the workplace - and I doubt anyone could really afford housing costs if the home is near the city as compared to those living in the outskirts. Similarly, there is the thought of security. If one could afford to have a house built on a subdivision with security then it would well be more expensive as compared to a condo unit. There is also the matter of the size of the house. Condos are cheaper as compared to houses with the same lot space with yard.
As for me, I'd rather have a real house and a lot. I don't like to be in constant feud or cooperation with the neighbors, if you know what I mean. Similarly, I don't like to have to ask someone's permission all the time when I want to renovate or do something with my property. Not to mention that condos are far too dangerous for our area because we're on the earthquake zone.

I always prefer a house because I can do whatever style I want with my house, I want to have a landscape, a garden and my own gate and garage. I want a dwelling where in I can have a ground floor, a foyer and a spacious lawn. I always felt that having a house is more luxurious and healthy because I can breath fresh air and I can see my surroundings from the ground.

i still choose house than in condo, coz in case of earthquake once the condo will hit and ruined by earthquake they will lost their home, but in house once theres earthquake and if theres damaged, you can still fixed your house and live there.

Each has it's advantage and disadvantage. But if I am to choose, I'll go for the house. It's spacious and more comfortable... for me. But, I also like a condominium.

i would rather choose to live in a house than condo... in a house, you can have a nice garden cultured in your own, play in your garden with your little kids, you can have a party outside your house.. you can own a condo but the caretaker is not your job alone, you can not do what you want to do...
