It's time to walk a lot

China

this is my very first post here and I would like to start with walking. Today I walked about 2 kilometers to the bank and rode bus home. On the way, I had time to look around with curious eyes to get familiar with the surroundings because I just moved in that area less than a month. It made me feel good. Now that the weather is getting warmer and warmer now in my hometown, the northeast part of china, I am thinking of taking out my sneakers for a long walk in the late spring evenings and summer. Every year, especially in summer, I walk a lot on purpose. Not for the sake of saving fuel or money but for fitness and refreshment. Because i have succeeded in cutting weight by walking without any diet limitation, i am going to take this up again this year. Now you see the time for walking is coming.

Walking is good for our bones. i hear that you need 10k step everyday so that you will not prone in osteoporosis. that's why everytime i'm going to my shop i use to walk rather than to ride so that i reach 10k step everyday. Walk is good for our body and not only for our body but also it save some money (instead of a ride). So everybody must walk now.

Welcome to My Lot! That's definitely a lot of walking! I don't like walking myself as I find it quite boring but this is just me! I know that walking is very good for you in terms of keeping the weight off and so forth but all the same I would much rather being getting on with other forms of exercise like regular cycling. I also have several exercise machines within my home and one of these simulates walking and it's much easier to use. I guess it's nice when you can take in the fresh air and warm weather during the summer months and it's at these times that I enjoy cycling the most. Anyway, good luck with your future walks. Andrew

Hello crystal. Welcome to mylot! I must say, you made a good first post. I like walking too, so I'm planning to buy a treadmill so that I can do it at home. Apart from that I will also continue doing taebo. I'm not very good at it, but it has helped me lose weight, and it's a really good exercise because I'm able to exercise my whole body.

Welcome Crystal to mylot. I hope you will find that you enjoy it as much here as I do. Now, this is one of my favorite times of the year because it is the perfect time for walking. I actually have a planned walk for next week with some of my mommy friends and their familes at one of the local natural areas. They have a two mile long walking track there and we are going to walk that and then let the kids play for a while. This is something that is good for us and very enjoyable as well.

a lot of walking is very good for burning food on our bodies become energy, when the sun rises we can enjoy the fresh air. Unfortunately, I did not do it every day and it was only done when the traffic jams or there is a demo since the trip. I think that walking is something that I love.

Hi crystal, Welcome to myLot. I hope you enjoy your stay here. Walking a lot is one way to make us sweat and one of the cheapest way to keep healthier. It is also more safer then jogging or cycling in term of injury concern or accident. And it is a favorite exercise especially for the older generation. Walking a few miles a day not only can make us avoid an appointment with the doctor but also reduce our driving frequency to the petrol station.

Walking is perhaps the absolute best form of exercise out there. I mean, it is kind of hard to not go out and do it. All you need is a place near your house where you walk. A sidewalk or a path of any kind. Then you are good to go. Maybe not for that long maybe twenty minutes every couple of days. That is good as far as I am concerned. Plus, walking does not require the focus that many other forms of exercise do. I can be along with my thoughts and mentally plan things out as I am walking. I am a big fan of multitasking and walking allows me some time to make plans. I guess that is the biggest reason why walking is perhaps the form of exercise that I do. Plus, it does save money walking somewhere instead of driving and you get the exercise. Which brings us back to the multitasking thing.

great if you could consistently do it. it's a healthy habit and helps to cut cost down. besides, it's the little things that's interesting if one really observes. my work schedule is just too busy. i try hard to find the time to walk. and if i do i realize there are so many things i miss. the simple pleasure such as walking can just be as meaningful. welcome to myLot. great site here. enjoy and stay and earn!!! :)

hello crystal. i too am still quite new to mylot. i enjoy walking especially when the weather is nice and cool. i think the best times are during late spring and early fall. when i was in south korea i did a lot of walking even tho their bus system is very good. i would often walk going downtown and it would take me about an hour and a half. the path i through a park alongside a river and i enjoy watching the scenery and the people. i also walk back if i don't have too much to carry. at the place where i stayed they also had a trail that led up a hill and i would often go exploring in the woods. i miss those long hikes.

Hi crystal, welcome to mylot! I like walking too but lately I haven't had enough time to do it. I do walk everyday with my dog, at least two times every day. She wakes me up everymorning and we go to a nearby park to walk for about 15 minutes, and the same at the evening. I try to wake up a little earlier to walk at least one hour but I haven't been able to do it, but maybe tomorrow...
