I have done night work, by accident lol, I wasnt supposed to be but that was just it worked out so ended up doing a shift that started at 1pm and finished at noon the next day! when I worked nights I found it fine, your working so you are awake (even if you think you will feel really tired) make sure he changes his sleeping times before he starts the job as his body will be more used to it. Ive always worked with someone else so you basically keep each other going. Its fine, I would rather do night shifts because Im more awake in the night than I am during the day!

When I worked at the restruant I prefered to work the 3rd shift becasue we got paid more. If I had to work then I wanted to work where I would get the most pay!
If you take the 3rd shift you do have to get adjusted to the sleep pattern. Some tips, take a few minutes -an hour or two- in the morning after work to unwind, then go to bed. Make your room dark and quiet. (I had to run a fan to drown out any sudden noises, the fan was steady!) try to sleep at the same time every day (my son worked 3rd for a while and he kept his sleep pattern even on his days off!)..My daughter loves 3rd shift and we all complain about it cause she has kids and is always off sleeping when they are home. I would NOT work 3rd with kids. I didn't have kids when I worked. I can honestly say I did enjoy the 3rd shift when I worked and I do think the work was less strenuous then 1st or 2nd, BUT I was a waitress, I think that factories this would not matter the demand would be the same regardless of the shift. Give it a try and if it doesn't work for you put in a request to move.

Hi,
Actually I used to study late night. I kinda liked it as everything becomes quite peaceful by that time. I started to enjoy it when I felt that it is actually damaging my health to a great extent. If you have a habit of staying awake late then there is really no need to worry. But its really hard to predict anything about the security. Will he be provided with conveyance? I mean, will the provide a car or something from the office? I guess they will. If he can gather up courage and take this opportunity, his self confidence and self reliance will increase to a great extent. Also this will prove that he is strong enough to work in any situation, which will in turn benefit his future prospects. Thanks.
God bless you

For the last couple of years I have primarily been working nights and I love it. I guess it depends on what the job is. I am a nurse and so I prefer to work nights as there are less people around interrupting me, allowing me to do my job more effectively. I also love the feeling of driving home in the morning and knowing that I am going to bed when all the other people are just starting the day. Plus, getting paid more to do night shifts is a nice bonus! x

Friend - in the days of recess and getting a job is lucky.
But yes - working at night needs lot of resistance and patience too - as we have to hold sleep the whole night.
I also worked in night shifts but only up to 12.00 p.m. and by the time I reach my house it would be 1.00 a.m.
Life is full of adjustments -we have to settle somewhere in order to work.Nothing is comfortable in this world,we have to make ourselves comfortable.

Hi velentina,
I have worked at night and it is not a big deal if you own a business. You have to give your 100 percent to it. Ask you friend to think of the job as his/her own which will help him/her grow and you will find no difference in night or day.
Thanks.

Nightjobs are a bit pointless.First of all you ruin your health because it is not normal for anybody to stay awake all night long and then when you go home you spend most of your time during the day sleeping because you are tired. That way you in fact miss your own life as people around you live during the day.
