Try this : Make small pieces of the bread. Heat some vegetable oil. Add a tea spoon of mustard and let it pop. Add 1 chopped chillie and a tea spoon of turmeric. Add the pieces of bread. Toss them for a minute or 2 (if you want it crisp you can toss it a while longer) and serve. Garnish with some coriander if you want.

We hardly have leftover bread, everytime we eat bread my dogs and cats were all besides us to have a taste of it to. They eat what we eat too.

Are you talking about freshly made bread or the bread that you buy in loafs from the store. Because if you leave the bread out for to long with out turning it into a sandwhich first or some croutons,or bird food. It will get all kinds of moldy and moldy bread is not good to anyone. Trust me it doesnt sit well in the stomach. Im allergic so I try not to get it that far. LOL But yeah I would suggest takin it down to the docks somewhere or the parks and feed the birds.

Sometimes I'll just eat it, but if it's getting really old and stale, I cut it up and make croutons out of it.
