Party animals are that species who can`t live without attending at least a couple of parties every week of their lives. For them the ultimate bliss is going to parties, being seen and commented on by the party-goers. Most of the parties which this species attend are thrown by big-wigs, like socialites, eminent people from the film and advertising world, fashion designers, in fact all those who form the Page 3 group.Another breed of this type has youngsters who are sons and daughters of filthy rich persons, who have money to splurge and who know no other life than to party away till the wee hours of the night with drinks and drugs. These youngsters get into all types of scrapes and have brushes with the law. Most people have quiet and fun filled parties with a decent crowd and wrap up before midnight or see that they do not cause a nuisance to neighbours and others. So, where do you fit into? Let us have your opinion, please.

hey veejay..which part of india are you from? here in bangalore we can't dance in clubs and discs and the deadline is 11.30. everything shuts down by then. its really annoying since working people like me get only weekends to chill out and go places. i go to a pub, relax with a few friends with a few drinks and just as the music and moods picks up, guess what its time to shut down. first they stop serving booze and food, then the music goes off and last the lights. so you have no choice but to get up and leave!!! it's really ironic for me, when i was in college, all these rules were not laid down then so people used to party late into the nights, places used to be open till 7am!!! believe and back then i was in the hostel with a time time of 7pm to get back to the hostel. they were very strict. it was like i was in jail, literally locked the doors after 7pm!! and now when i have all the freedom in the world, everything closes by 11pm!!!! what a shame!!! and this in a place like bangalore!! hate it man! the only decent party i went to was for new year's. loved it, drank and danced to my heart's content though the time line was 2am! but still a breather from the normal rules. i think house parties are nice, you have fun with a few friends, who can stay over after the party so no drunken driving, and the party can go on till 7am of whatever. the only concern is neighbors and if they complain. but once in a while i would like going to a real party with good trance music. i don't like the bollywood crap they play at discs or at parties. hindi songs are played everywhere so why not just still to trance and techno and the likes for parties!!!

I am from Mumbai tangy and here rules are not as strict as Bengaluru where the Ram Sene has started doing the moral policing. Here in my city these page 3 people party till the wee hours of the night and since many bigwigs attend them no one is bothered. Besides a few bucks in the hands of the law and you can party to your hearts content. thanks for your response.

hey vj..guess mumbai is still pretty laid back and people can go out and have fun and yea alot of page 3 parties happen there and quite a few in bangalore as well. hate the ram sene, think they are the biggest hypocrites and cowards. trageting the youth and women!!! its pathetic. and about corruption, that's rampant everywhere. if cops raid a party, pay them 100 bucks and they will turn a blind eye on it!

i am not a party animal.. i rather choose to stay at home, watch tv, eat my meals, listen to radio, take a nap and sleep than attend a couple of parties out there...

I am not a party animal at all…I’m a social recluse and I like it that way. My lips ache from having to smile at everybody, my legs ache from all that standing and dancing, my arms ache from holding all that drinks and buffet (whatever is there) and my head aches with all that cacophony around and that too from complete strangers. If I do have people over or if I visit them, its mostly a small family or close friends affair and as you say, we wrap it up by 11pm max.

You and i have the same attitude.I too am a social recluse and haven`t stepped out of my house for over 20 years.I don`t mix with relations and only have a small group of former schoolmates who meet once in a year but not regularly.

nope I'm very private and home body but I do like spending time with friends, be it party or not I'm quite selective with friends too, in real life Online I pretty much go around chatting with all kinds of people so party is fine, only with certain people and definitely not until wee hours

I used to before like going to parties with friends but it's not that severe because we only got to visit local dance clubs and do some dancing. And there's also money involved it's not free because you have to pay some entrance fee and you have to pay for the drinks and others. I agree that those children of wealthy families can party until the wee hours in the morning. They will have most fun unlike those poor people who likes parties but lacking of connection or money to pay entrance fees. Being a party animal is not a good attitude to have. It's like live only for the day and forget tomorrow.

Not me...Never being a party animal. I’ve done my share of partying when I was younger but I can’t say that I enjoyed it very much at all, in fact I got fed up with the whole scene before too long! I am rather unsociable really compared to a lot of my friends who go out a lot and entertain etc. I am happy to get together one on one but entertaining is stressful for me because I hate cooking and I enjoy my early night too much to go out to bars and clubs! I am at an age where I am over all that and quite content to have a quiet life.

We are 2 of a kind paula. even when i was young i hardly ever attended any party since we did not have that culture in our country and anyway we were all permanently broke and could not afford partying. Of course the scene is very different now with adults and young people partying like mad. Thanks for your response.

I'm not a party animal, in fact, I really only like costume parties, with other people with similar interests - like when we had a Doctor Who club, we'd hold Doctor Who birthday/costume parties.
