He is the only candidate who practices Positive campaign.
He is the only candidate who speaks of Reconciliation and Unity.
He is the only one who does not offer Utopia. (come on you can't be promising paradise instantly but more realistic solutions.)
He is the only candidate with a clear platform of Government and Region specific plans and strategies.
He is the only candidate who does not appeal to emotions just to gain votes.
He is one of the few candidates not tainted yet with corruptions and scandals.
He is the only candidate with the knowledge and awareness of specific problems in the country.
He possessed all 3 attributes a good president must have: Integrity, Competence and Character.
And by far he didn't over exceed on doing ads just to be recognize to the people.
So what do you think? If you are undecided yet of who you want to vote for this May 10 elections then vote for GIBO!

I do not like Gibo at all. I have no respect for him ever since he initiated the filing of the impeachment case against Davide in Congress. He allowed himself to be used by special interests group, and so I think he is not above corruption. He is so secretive about a lot of things which is not a good sign. They use to own Ang Tibay which they closed because the employees unionized. Is that someone who will protect the workers? I don't think so. He is not a good leader, he cannot even unite his own team. He has no loyalty. He changed parties just to secure a nomination. He was an impotent NDCC chairman during Ondoy. I have a lot of reasons not to vote for him.

Advocate, this information is what people should know. Gibo, I believe, is only after accolades for his own. I have not seen him truly intermingle with the people. With the Ampatuan massacre, he was liable as DND chief. With Ondoy, he was seen everywhere but he never delivered. It was Bayani Fernando who stood up there and made the difference. And yet he did the cheap shot of nominating himself in a breakfast meeting, so Bayani was left to find another party. Ain't that betrayal, too? This boy wants the presidency for his self and not for service to the people.

@The Advocate: gonna agree with eileen here and commend you on posting this. I've forgotten about the case against Davide, and now that you've brought that up, I realize the reason why I keep being ambivalent over Gibo despite being wowed over his answers during the university debates (watched the Ateneo and UP ones).
Mostly though, I was really underwhelmed with Gibo's performance as the NDCC chairman. I am also wary of the fact that he hasn't proven his leadership skills before, but his lackluster performances there imprinted something to me about his capabilities. Which is a little unfair, I know, because a lot of people were overwhelmed by that disaster. But I think expecting better than the results he gave isn't that demanding. If others could perform, if not satisfactorily then at least neutrally well, under the same conditions, it's suspect that he couldn't.

I respect that if your for Gibo. I have heard most of his interviews and debate on televisions and radios. But I already have a Presidential bet, but it would not be him. Anyway I just hope that this election would be a clean and peaceful election.
I am so tired of cheating and injustice and nothing is happening in our country so we should better be wise of whom to vote. We should not vote not because of what the surveys are saying. I hope that the Filipino people would vote because they believe that the person has the capability to serve his country and countrymen and fears God first and foremost.

Yes and I don't believe in the surveys too. Some presidents are left out on media surveys which is too bias. What purpose is the survey if not all candidates are shown right? Tired I am also of our corruption but its always there, promises that are broken.. May God Help us All!

hello nykel88,
Although i respect your views, my vote is strong on gordon. i have watch Gibo's answers on issues and even platforms studied by experts, which is not feasible. I know, that he answers the problems of the country but he lacks good initiatives here. I have decided a long time ago, that he should lead the country, i know he can saved more people than any one else. I'm not convince with GIbo, he was only known recently.
WHile my candidates has Integrity,Results and Leadership. not to mention track record.

Hello everyone ^^. I am still open to who ever wins the election. This is only the reasons why I wanted to vote for this candidate. We all have our reasons for each of our candidate. May the best man win. But I rather want to whom ever gets to the throne to change and improve Philippines. GMA did make the economy stable at least but she had few tricks on her sleeves.. that I want it to change.. The Philippines should have enough of the suffering already. I know all you people here want that and I hope it does reach to those who are in Power and Wealth.

I thought he was the most evasive of all the candidates. Being president does not give you the right to hide behind semantics and niceties. Anybody can answer questions nicely. Being president does not give you that luxury. A lot of times you have to be tough.

Gibo Teodoro is my 2nd choice for president. All your points are correct and those are the reasons why I'm going to vote for him. My first choice by the way is Richard Gordon.

I think Gibo is very good technocrat. His answers are good and sound and he makes you think, which is something that always amazes me with people.
The problem for me, though, is that Gibo exemplifies the "knowledge" part of being a technocrat. By which I mean, what Gibo excels at happens to be theoretical thinking — which is good, I'm not denying that — but it will only really be of use if he has the added skills to implement them in the way his mind worked them out.
And so far, he has proven lackluster in the implementation area. Considering that the presidential seat is an executive seat, being good at executing the law is something I wish he'd have taken the time to improve on as skills and implementation is more important for an executive seat than theories. Is he smart? Yes. Does he have sound plans for what he wants to happen if he wins? Yes. Does he have the capabilities to actually do what he's proposed? I'm not actually sure. And this ambivalence plays a huge part on why Gibo did not win my vote.
- - - -
By the way:
"He is the only candidate with a clear platform of Government and Region specific plans and strategies."
"He is the only candidate with the knowledge and awareness of specific problems in the country."
- I know these are just your opinions, but the fact that this starts, "He is the ONLY candidate" makes me O_o because that's some grand sweeping generalization right there, which breaks your point for me rather than accentuate it.
Is he one of the most knowledgeable/aware with a specific platform? Yes. Is he the MOST knowledgeable/aware with a specific platform? Possibly. Is he the ONLY knowledgeable/aware with a specific platform? Hardly. His answers don't even compare with fellow technocrat Jay Sonza, who's just running for Vice Presidency; I doubt he's the ONLY one who knows about his learnings.

Yes, he's got all that it takes to be President but I think he should have waited and let himself "age" a bit. He is a fledgling when it comes to politics. Another thing, why is he on the wrong side of the fence? Why on Madam Gloria's party of all parties? If he's got the brains he would consider the fact that just being with Lakas-Kampi will cost him a lot of votes this coming elections. Gloria's unscrupulous character and dirty tactics in politics is going to pull down everybody that is with Lakas-Kampi.
Gibo should have ran for Senator instead and use that as his stepping stone towards the Presidential seat. That would be the smartest move any fledgling like him can make. Then again, this is just my opinion and I don't really know anything about politics. All that I am rambling on about right now is just my take on what is happening in our country and the politicians that keeps appearing on TV.

Hmm, sounds interesting. I believe this man is not a full bread politician....politicians are politicians and they will always be a politician and their game is all about strategies to appeal to the people and win votes. Your choice might look nice and sound convincing, I will not trust a politician. But in your case, it might be different and if you think he deserves your attention, why not, giv it....
Wishh You Well, man....

I totally respect your decision to vote for Gibo, I could have been inclined to support him also but I have reasons also why I would not vote for him as well. I think we all have our own personal choices and it just happens that your opinion does not match mine. I won't be elaborating my reason in here anymore. When it comes to my choices I will keep mine as personal as possible.

Hi there.
Although I will not vote for Gibo, nevertheless, the guy is honorable (earned even the respect of Erap who praised him during an interview), does not do mudslinging (like the other candidates) and is levelheaded.
I respect your decision to vote for him.

If I were to vote solely on the basis of how a candidate answers his interviews, and how he performs on various presidential fora on TV, then I would definitely vote for Gibo. Among the presidential aspirants, I think he's got the most brains. But of course, it's not all that matters. He hasn't proven enough yet. He's still young. He's a brilliant speaker, but will he really make a brilliant public servant?
