Are you the kind of friend that you would want to have as a friend?

This is a good test to see if you are a good friend. Would you want to be your own friend? I hear that many people would not like someone that is like them, because they might be so similar that they would conflict, if that makes any sense at all.
I'm not sure if I would want to be my own friend. What about you?

perhaps i would like to see my self as my friend.
yes this is true many times there could be conflict between us as we will like the things which are similar and also not like too. but many times our thoughts will also be same so i think we have the potential to compromise also.

That is true, that with similar thoughts two people are able to compromise on the things that they do not always agree on. I'm glad you would want to be your own best friend. That just means your are probably a good friend to have. =)

there is a saying that "birds of the same feather flock together!" i would prefer thta i would the friend of my own... but poles of same polarity repel and of different polarity attract... so much better not a friend of your own.. but i hope the friend of not my own accepts me for who i am and what i am...

I like how your description of polarity and how the same polarity repels and different polarities attract. I also wish that my friends except me for who I am. Good luck to the both of us. =)

I don't ,mind because there would be no pretences whatsoever.Only problem is when I am confused the 'friend like me' person would also be confused .That would only be a double confusion and there won't be any clarity if ther is a discussion.
As such I hav e a friend like me who shares similar attitudes, thereby making it easier for me to be friends wiht her but she can alwyas be relied upon for some practical outlook and mutual sharing of thoughts and also different in her own way.I love her and she is my best friend , a friend who I thank GOd for.

I haven't have the slightest idea. I am the quiet type, I do have a sharp tongue when I want to and I engage in intelligent conversations most of the time. I guess I would be a really great drinking buddy to myself haha

I reckon a good friend need to be opposite of your personality yet holding the same interests as you do. My current best friend has totally different personality than me, yet we managed to have a lot of similar interests. My personality is very firey (I don't think that's a word) but I'm outgoing, loud and shouts when I'm mad. On the other hand, my friend is calm. So it's hard to be mad at her. In fact we never had a fight since we became friends, and that's 7 years ago.
I would never want to be friends with myself, although I do want to see what it would be like to be around me. We would probably end up fighting everyday.
