How do you feel when no one replies to your discussion?

Sweetie, these are things we get used to. Nothing to it. Today, no responses, tomorrow, you make a killing. Different tastes, you know. Enjoy. TATA.

It doesn't bother me if it is not important, like just asking about someones option just to see how other people feel. But when I actually am asking for advice or help, I don't like it at all. I recently went through my discussions trying to find one I started years ago about this site I had mentioned because when I searched here, it says there are no discussions like that. (I know it was not deleted too) And so I started another post hoping someone remembered this site that I mentioned because I wanted to go back to it, and still no one replied, even to let me know they tried to look for it..

I haven't had any of my discussions that have no replies, so I can't say exactly what I would feel when that happens eventually; I can only presume. However, I do have one discussion that only have one reply so far, and even so that made me feel extremely disappointed because I thought that discussion was pretty straight forward and easy to reply to. Hence, I would foresee that I would be extremely down in the dumps if I started a discussion and had no replies. But like the others have already mentioned, it is OK to feel disappointed as that is just a normal human emotion. But it would be good if we take the time to reflect why no one responded to our discussion and try to improve on it (eg. was the discussion topic too technical or was the title misleading?). However, the most important thing to keep in mind on the myLot site is to HAVE FUN, which I hope you do!

i don't mind if no one replies to my discussion,just because i found something interesting does'nt mean anyone else will,so far i only have 1 discussion with no replies which isn't too bad,but no doubt i'll have more in time

hi,its nothing wrong in it..i feel that.my discussion may not have that much quality..may not attract members...having less mylot friends..posted in wrong time means saturday and sunday or the time when most of the members not participating in mylot

If this happens to only one between several discussions I started, I wouldn't worry about it. In this case, I should think that the discussion I posted or the theme I offered has no interest for the rest of mylotters. This may happen. But if it happens with several discussions I posted, then, naturally, I would ask seriously what's going on or if am I doing anything wrong.

simply this discussion should be open till some responses come...in some cases people think that when they open a discussion really soon they will have responses in some cases you just need a bit of time more..

I feel the same way too. Actually I have posts or discussions that was way a year ago and until now zero response and also some discussions where I get just 1 or 2 responses. It's sad, however we can't please everybody. I'm just thinking that maybe some of my post are not interesting enough for them to leave a comment or for them to leave their responses. I do have a blog and I also encountered the same experience. I have some posts that it seems nobody is reading so it's like I'm already ready for it and used to it when I joined mylot. =)

It is very frustrating I must say. I wish there was a solution to the problem of discussions with no responses. Although there is a separate category been given to it, but I think rarely anyone checks it out.

I certainly would be disappointed, but then I would have to think that maybe it was what I said or didn't say that kept users from responding to it. Most generally, as we all know, users will only post to those they are interested in, so if it isn't interesting in one form or another,then it wouldn't get responses. I don't start all that many discussion, as I do have a hard time coming up with a topic that users will be interested in responding to. I can say though, that I have responses to all my discussions, and I am happy about that, as I wasn't sure how well they interesting they would be. I will say too, that on some discussions I received more responses than I thought I would, and others I didn't receive what I thought I had. I am just thankful that I have received responses. i dont really like when no one responds to my discussion.. i feel the same way.. it is sometimes pretty hard to write and get responses to discussions etc.

well your right bestylish... i felt sad to somehow but atleast its better not to reply than to give wrong information.. coz its better to be honest than to pretend that we know everything..and im sure if somebody know the answer they will not hesitate to help..;)

TO be honest I don't really care about it. So what if no one replies to it. At least I tried. But it can be very sad knowing that other people doesn't have an slight bit of interest with what you just posted. Don't you think so? Hahaha! That's just how it is.

Personally I think this has happened before to all of us no matter how long you are a member here, or how popular your discussions might be as well. Sometimes it could just be the Subject matter you are choosing to talk about, or maybe it is due to the time you started your discussion as well. Personally I would not let it bother you and continue to post New discussions and respond back to others, and Great things will continue to happen for you as well. Wishing you the Best.

hi ...to be frank i don't pay much carry to that my discusionns don't get any respomses ... i think i can't requred any one should to answer my topic if my topic is interesting it is naturaly welcoming in here , i have more experiences that didn't get any reponses in my discusions ....

Hello bestyfish, I was bit sad at first when no one replied but I tried to understand then. Even I for one couldn't reply to my discussions because of busy schedule and sometimes we need to go always after for the time but I make sure that I rated good to those who replied on my discussions every time. I am new on this site When someone opens a new topic I do not think should respond to each post I found reading the comments and issues,meet some people who have different opinions but very interesting Many are just with my opinions If the person who initiated the subject is not satisfied with the review and is obliged to respond only polite...I do not think is a fair thing
