It is really nice to travel in the United States. There are so many things to see. So far, I have had the opportunity to see the Pacific coast, the rockies, Grand Canyon, and many others. Much of this was not very expensive. The Smoky Mountains are so beautiful in the morning with the clouds and fog hanging around them. The people are really great in that area, very friendly. Traveling I believe broadens your understanding of the world. There are so many beautiful, awe inspiring things. Take the time to look.

Yes, all people should have the chance to travel. Sometimes people wish to but can't afford to travel. From my home country flight prices used to be reasonable. Now I notice the airfares have got way more expensive. When I was 20 years I traveled around the world. On that excellent trip I visited California, Hawaii, Fiji, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. I loved going to New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands when I was 29 years old. In my twenties I went on a safari in Kenya so see all the wild animals. In my early thirties I visited some tropical countries like the Seychelles and the Maldives. My trip to last year was to South Africa. I took my toddler son and we explored Cape Town plus the Garden Route. I think if really interested more people should try traveling to a nearby country that wouldn't cost too much money.

Yes, your're right about the fares. I'm flying to the US in July, and the fare is an eye watering £750 That was not the cheapest that I could have got, but I was under some constaints as to which flight I could take.
Also it was saying on the news this morning that fares are likely to be going up again quite a lot because in part because of the huge losses that the airlines had because of the volcanic ash closing most of our airspace.

I love to travel, too. In fact, I used to travel all the time. However, I can't afford it these days with my limited income. I've been to all of these places you mentioned. I'm in Alabama and I don't live very far from the Smoky Mountains. The Grand Canyon is one of my favorite places to visit. I've been there 3 times. I've also been to Hawaii, The Bahamas, Juarez, Mexico, and 6 countries in Europe. Kathy.

I think people should travel, but when they are old enough & young enough to enjoy.
We traveled to California when my son was very young and he does not remember it.
Later we went to Arkansa and found it to be so very friendly.
But do it when you are younger.
