Sleep is very important to me. I get to sleep only a few hours during the night but I get to sleep in the afternoon. There were also many times that I have problems so thinking about this things cant make me sleep. When I can sleep very well I always feel like my head is floating. I also feel like I am gonna throw up and I always have headaches. How about you? How do you feel when you dont get to have enough sleep? Do you have the same problems like me?

If i dont get enough sleep I just play games on facebook until i get sleepy, sometimes I write blogs just to express what i feel, its really helpful when i have problems , it makes me open minded to determine the purpose why i have problems i dont understand and thats the time I remember how God shows His purpose.

yes thats true, problems are just there to remind us that we have to look up on God for help. Its so nice to have problems . :) Other people may count it as a curse but if a person knew God he doesnt have to worry about those things. I remember when I was a teenager I use to play musical instruments and singing songs and hymns to God, after a minute or two I have that feeling that God is with me.

That's really productive when you write blogs when you cant sleep. Its a good thing to have something to do when you cant sleep. I understand what you mean when you have problems and you remember God, but its also good if you also try to remember God even if you dont have a problem. Problems are there to make you strong anyway. And that's God's purpose.

Occasionally I am having insomnia. If I didn't sleep well in the earlier night, I will feel dizzy and couldn't focus on my work. Therefore, I will drive home during the lunch time and grab a 1 hour sleep at home. I feel so refreshed after the noon nap and thus increase my productivity.

That's a very good idea. The best solution you can give if you feel dizzy when you dont have enough sleep is to sleep or even take a nap. Good for you you already feel refreshed after sleeping for an hour. When I cant sleep, I also need to make it up with what I missed for a long time. I need to sleep more next time when the problem is gone.

You are right. Sleep is very important to our health and good being. But I have to skip lunch in order to grab a short nap during noon. But usually I will take my meal during the 3pm tea break. I will try to sleep earlier and I found that I feel more refreshed if I have enough sleep.

I don't think I ever get enough sleep. I seem to have insomnia. I try to go to sleep every night at around 2am. I usually don't fall asleep until after 3am. Then, my husband wakes me up at 5am to say goodbye to me. It takes me a long time to fall back asleep. I am usually up and out of bed by 8am. So, at the most, I get like four hours of sleep every night. I don't know why I can't sleep. Too much on my mind, I guess. But, I still think I am pretty nice to people. It's not their fault I can't sleep.

Same way with me, if there are so many things in my mind then I cant sleep. Its not very good for me when I have this problem and i can sleep at 3 am and have to wake up at 7 am cause I also have to go to work. So I always find it hard especially if I am already to weak because of lack of sleep.

I require a good bit of sleep. I tire very easily and when I start to get tired, my mind doesn't function properly. Floating discribes it very well though I don't feel like I am going to throw up and have headaches. I make bad decisions when I get tired, so I try to wait until I get up from my nap if I can.

I think its normal that we feel dizzy and have headaches. I also dont like when my eyes starts to droop to sleep but I know I still cant sleep cause I still have some problems to think about. I really hate it when I have a problem cause the most important thing that I have to do with my life which is sleep is really affected.

I think I am fairly fortunate because I don't tend to need too much sleep. I guess about 6 hours a night is plenty for me. It seems to be that way when we are getting older. When I was in my 20s, I would feel ill too if I didn't sleep too well, but then I met a friend who also had problems and he told me that he quit worrying about it and felt OK. He just said his body would sleep when it was good and ready. So, I took on the same attitude and have felt OK about sleeping fewer hours since. _Derek

Oh! Its not plenty of course but you are already used to it so there seems to be no problem at all. Bottom line is that I really need to have rest at night and it should be enough so I wont feel weak. Good for you you already found a way to cope with your problems.

I used to get 8 hours of sleep, minimum. I had to work then. And my job requires interaction with people. As such, I need to be in good mood. I always find that I'm not in top form when I don't get enough sleep. I get cranky easily as well.
Nowadays, I hardly have the luxury of 8 hours of sleep. Sometimes my daughter wakes up in the middle of the night and I'm awoken. Sometimes I can't get back to sleep either. So I'd wake up to pray.
Somehow my body got used to having less sleep, although I can get a little lethargic in the afternoon, but it could be that I'm not getting enough exercise.

Well, 8 hours of sleep is the requirement. If we dont get to sleep at least 8 hours then for sure we are going to have so many problems. When I would have a baby in the future, I think I will be expecting the same things from your experience of not getting enough sleep. Anyway, I hope we will still be healthy. Good luck to you!

If I don't get enough sleep during night time I always look grumpy and messy in the morning as if I am having a party all night. You know the look of someone who has a hang over...something like that. My eyes will become red and irritated. Then my face will look like a limp vegetables.
But you should see me when i have a good night sleep I look like a movie star. Shining in the morning sun....just kidding. But when I am well rested I look human.
Anyways...before I sleep late but now since I have illness I usually sleep early.

Hi, there.
Getting enough sleep is important to everyone. When I don't get enough sleep, I feel groggy and weak, have trouble concentrating.

I know what you mean. I feel the same way too. I also feel weak but when it comes to concentrating in my job, I can still do it. I can concentrate and I can still have a normal class. But of course there are still problems but when it comes to having my class, I can tell myself to do my job even if I am tired.

I usually sleep eight hours a day. But there are some times when I lack sleep and its a bad thing for me. I get dizzy and lightheaded. There are health issues regarding a lack of sleep. That's why I make it a point to get an early good nights rest.

Speaking about early good nights rest, I really dont sleep like really early. I already used to sleeping at 12 cause if I sleep earlier than that then it always turn out that I am just lying on my bed tossing and turning. There are times that even though I am really tired, I still cant sleep earlier. Its my biological clock.

Hai
I had the same problems which drived me crazy many days. Now i had totally recovered from the sleeping disorder.I suggest you to have an oppoinment or counselling with a leading psychiatrist. In my case ,the psychiatrist just made me totally understand my problems and gave me advices how to tackle my problem and make decisions effectively by just thinking logically and not emotionally. And he made me read many books to build my self esteem. And he made me understand that horrifying dreams are just dreams or our immagination which has no point in the reality and to take it in a lighter side.Atlast he made me to accept things easily just like a TAKE IT EASY policy AND TO THINK POSITIVELY.Try to watch inspiring movies or hear soothing melodies or read an intresting novels before you sleep. These really worked for me.
I SUGGEST you TO SEE A LEADING OR AN EXPERIENCED PSYCHIATRIST.Describe your situvation and problems without hiding anything.I hope this can make You well soon.Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the suggestion. I think I'd better do that since that's the main reason why I dont get to have enough sleep at night. I wonder why I am so worrisome. I really hate being this way but there's something that I can do and thanks for all the things that you said.

That's really weird. Maybe it has something to do with your system that makes you alive like that. I dont know if its normal but in a way its good cause you are still able to function well even if you didnt have a very good sleep. I wish the effect in me is same as yours. lol

I hate it when people are grumpy. lol Sleep is also very important to me, its an essential part of my existence. I get to have 6 hours sleep at night and sometimes 1-2 hours of sleep in the afternoon and I am already satisfied with that. I get to sleep more during the weekends and I always look forward to it.

Its always the best solution to get a couple of hours in the afternoon. I always to that but there are still times that I cant sleep so it makes matters worst when I would have to lie there and close my eyes but my brain is active. Gives me more headache.

I haven't been getting enough sleep lately because I have so much stuff to do and I think I may have insomnia. I also get a headache when I don't sleep the hours that I should which is almost frequently. I am really drowsy and tend to get tired easily throughout the day. Just today I kept thinking of laying down and just going to sleept but I couldn't because I was in class and then later on I was at work. I've never felt like I was going to throw up just because I didn't have enough sleep but everybody has different symptom from lack of sleep.

When sleep deprived, I am known to be more than a little crabby. it's not good, not good at all. I've gone and said some pretty mean things to people I love when I didn't get enough sleep the night before.
I've had the tar slapped out of me on more than one occasion because of that. I think I deserved it, but was too drowsy to know what exactly it was that I said.

That's too bad because they dont have anything to do with you not having enough sleep but you tell them mean things. I hope something can be done. I dont really want my family to know that I didnt get enough sleep during the night cause they will know I have a problem and I really dont want to know I have. lol

My problem's worse than yours, lol. My job requires me to work long hours, sometimes I don't sleep at all. But I'm setting a schedule for myself now. I experienced not having any sleep for at least 3 days, sometimes I gulp down energy drinks just to keep me awake (darn those deadlines!), which is so not good for your body. I ended up in the emergency room, haha.
I feel drained whenever I don't get to sleep, like a zombie walking. Sometimes, I can actually feel the cold creeping in, starts from my fingers and works it's way up my nape. Then my head feels really light, like I'm going to pass out. I'm not usually grumpy, I just don't talk much or sometimes I just don't talk period. Now even after setting a schedule for myself, am still having difficulty catching some zzz's. My doctor prescribed some pills but I am scared to use them, I feel I might end up being dependent. I take stilnox once in awhile, but I usually take iterax (anti-allergy pill whose side effects make you drowsy). Warm milk, hot cocoa, they don't work for me...
Ever get that feeling when you're dreaming, the one that you fall off and you never quite reach the bottom, and everything's just pitch black? I get that alot, just when I'm about to doze off, and I end up waking up again.

You are right about the pills. Its never good to become dependent with them. I have heard about those anti-allergy pills that makes you feel drowsy but they are also pills so I dont take them. Like you, milk and hot cocoa dotn workt for me so I just have to wait until I get to tired and able to sleep. Which usually happens at dawn when the everyone seems awake already. (sigh)
