Hi mylotters. I wanted to share with all of you how I lost 10 kgs and am maintaining it. Yes, loosing weight is still easier than maintaining it. My funda is that whenever I am talking on the phone, I am always on the move. I never sit and talk to people. And if you think books are your best friends. Just read while walking.
It is really effective. I am sure many of us do that. And those who don't please start the most easy and effective way to loose weight.

Hey U,
Yes its a good idea but i have to do lots of phone calls and i cannot do them all standing or walking. I may lose too much weight which is unhealthy too.
Instead i take time off from my daily schedule to make it to the gym and sweat it out there. GYM is the place for me to lose or gain weight not the office cabin, lol.
Cheers,
Tutul

Yes You are right.
But this is for people who cannot go to the gym.
Like it is difficult for me to take out 2 hrs a day coz of house work and office.
Thanks.

Ahh.. it dont take 2 hrs to exersixe. Trust me the best workout is for 45 mins. Nothing more than that.
Remember one thing.. its the intensity which is important not the time u spend in the gym.
Cheers,
Tutul

Wow congrats on your weight loss! I never knew that walking and talking would be such an effective way of losing weight! My relatives have always been looking for a weight loss program or something but I should give an insight on this to see if it works! Ihave a few questions though
how long did it take?
Do you always move when doing small things: example; reading?
Anyways, congrats on the loss of weight and happy mylotting!

It took me 6 months, but i had to restrict on chocolates and fried food.
Thanks, the positive point is that i dint waste time on going to the gym. I just didn't sit for long while reading, or talking on the phone, or even doing other small thing like cooking, studying. Also, if I was tensed, I started walking. It was also a kind of a stress buster for me.
Thanks.

Staying on the move as a way to loose weight is a great idea. Good for you.
I have lost nearly 20 pounds since Christmas :D I did it by first counting my calories and keeping them in check. I used the formula of taking my current weight, multiply by 15 and then subtract 500. That number is the amount of calories allowed Per Day to loose one pound a week. It works. Plus, I cut out the obvious like all bread, flour products, no soda and no refined carbohydrates. Plus I walk, a lot!
Keep on moving.

Another idea is to make a social "date" with your friends at the gym, walking around at a local lake or park, and just using exercising as an excuse to socialize. The majority of the time I spend with friends is spent walking around a lake or getting some form of exercise in. it gives you an excuse to work out AS WELL as catch up and chit chat with friends. Amazing!

Select an exercise pattern to suit your life style. All of us have different life styles and professions so there is no sense in trying to follow the book strictly. Try and follow an exercise routine that is suitable for you. You have to understand that even more important than the exercise it is sticking to it. So unless you choose something that can suit your life style, you are not going to stick on to it.
