How would you react to this statement? When I received this as a text message from my friend, I paused and thought for a moment. Then suddenly I realized the true meaning of the message. It's hilarious and pretty 'true'. Because if you happen to observe every thing that we use in our daily lives, most of them are China - made. Especially here in the Philippines, every tool - from cheap to expensive - you can see at the back or down below it that it's "Made in China". Agree?
How do you feel about this quote?

China's human resources are very cost-efficient especially for Western companies. It saves them money and gives them opportunity to earn bigger. This is in favor of China because employment opportunities get bigger. Wait till China gets to speak good English and they'll soon be the new Call Center Capital of the world.

Hello Ms Tickle. As of this time, most huge call center industries invest in countries like Philippines, India, Malaysia and Singapore. I may forget the others. Most call center investors have clients who use English as their main language. If China gets to learn to speak neutral accent of English and be comfortable of the Western business culture, more business prospects come to China since their human resources are much cheaper compared to the other countries I previously mentioned. I used to work for a petroleum company and get engaged in conversations with people from India but I never had issues understanding them. Their good in being techies as well. I don't know how you came up with that impression.

Because Chinese people have a great manpower and cheap labor it is normal to see that most of our products is made by them. Many people find it helpful because they can buy their needed products in a very low price but the quality will be sacrificed. Honestly I avoided Chinese made electronics because it will only cost me more money. I rather have quality.

It is true China has work force and cheap labor, but they work with unmatched dedication. India too has work force and cheap labor but they cannot match china in taking over the world markets by storm. The reason is they lack dedication. Indian products lack quality. Besides, they do not make anything innovative, which Chinese make. Chinese make something, which fires the imagination of a buyer. For an example once, I saw a cell-less torch in Dubai. You only have to shake it a bit and the bulb used to emit light for some time. I bought it up, but it did not work for a long time. Nevertheless, I preserved it as a souvenir. The idea it employed simply fascinated me. However, if I have to buy an electric shaver I would rely on a European product. However, for small knickknack items I do not mind buying a Chinese product.

It depends how old you are. When i was a child everything was made in Japan, more recently it was Taiwan and now things are predominantly made in China. It will create a huge income for China and they will become very powerful. I think China will take over the world and I hope I'm not around to see it.

Amen to that. I do believe that God made the world, and the rest was made in China. It was really funny but it's true that most of the items we see in our country is made in China.
My dad who works in Bahrain and went to a store with his friend and that friend asked the sales personnel if there is something made in Japan because he was looking for a clock. The guy said, no Sir, all the items you see here are made in China, and that is in the Middle East already.
I also happen to experience this when I was in India. We live in Mumbai and when I go to novelty stores, I always read at the bottom of the item or the label, made in China. Even if I go to Goa, I can also read the same thing. I do consider China as the world's super power because US is now in big debt, no offense guys. Just telling about what I observed.

oh hey! I'm from Bahrain :D cool
You're right, around 90-95% of things around here are made in China :P including original products (they have factories in China too!), but there are a few ridiculously expensive items made in Japan or South Korea or something, there are also a few clothes brands made in the USA and others. So in short, other than China-made items exist but you'll have to look REALLY hard for them :P
It's because China products generally have good enough quality with much cheaper prices than others, that's why they're a favorite and most people around here choose them, and likewise merchants choose to display the products that the customers want so :P

I love Asians, so I think God made them too.
However, every developing country makes stuff. I recently purchased six really good shirts, and found they were all made in Pakistan. They were high quality, and looked nice.
But one thing you may not be aware of is, ever dozen years, whichever country is doing really well economically, ends up exporting goods here. It used to be Japan. I remember in the 90s, everything everywhere, was made in Japan. The it was Taiwan. Good grief, every single product on every shelve was made in Taiwan. Now it's China.
This is no big deal, and it will soon be another country that is making tons of products.

Its so sad that almost everything is made is China. The labor costs there are dirt cheap, thats why companies can mass produce there. But if ever I can buy something that is still made locally, I do that. I try to patronize our products and produce because it helps the small businesses that are getting shelved away because they cannot compete with prices from China produced products. I am even more distressed when my brothers would come home and tell me that they have this nifty gadget and when I look at the label, it says "made in China".

I laughed when I read the title because it is funny and so true. I don't fel bad or good about it. All I want are products that work and are the right price. If my cousins, I think of all the people of the world as my cousins, in China can make it for me, then it is ok with me.

yes I see it on many products, but we here in the USA make many of the same things and they are cheaper than those made in China, but we have to take time to look at the packaging to see where it was made and a lot of people don't do that, I learned when I went to buy light bulbs, I picked up a pack said made in China and right next to it was another pack that said made in the USA, and was like a buck cheaper for the pack. I now look for the american made items when I go to the store. From what I hear Wal- Mart has gone to China, I watch every thing I buy in there anymore. We are Americans and should buy American products when we can get them. Helps to keep our men and women working and keeps our money here in the USA. So it is true as long as you let it be true.

Great quote, funny and true for some countries. In Europe there are not as many products with the "Made in China" label as there are in the US. Why is that? If it that the European consumer is shopping for quality versus the American consumer is shopping for the cheapest item?

There are few product that quite good but I prefer to buy product from my country it much more expensive but It will ensure the industry keep running and provide job for my fellow Indonesian.

When I read this title, I could not avoid to laugh. This message is very true, plenty of things we use every day are made in China. In the village I live, we have five different chinese stores and a chinese restaurant. China is only one more country, but it seems to be all over the world around everywhere.

Well that's kinda true as what you said. It's a sad truth...
Chinese are good entrepreneurs and Filipinos deal with them. If only all Filipinos could realize to deal with our own products...
But I guess not the rest are from China... there are so many products from other countries that more people are interested with, though the Chinese have their own versions of it. Maybe "most of the rest"... LOL. And, maybe it's just because China products are cheaper making it preferred by many.

i fully agree with what what you said.initially it was god who created us in his own liking and rest everything was made in china for our liking.even though china is the largest producer but i don't think it is the most reliable source.i don't have good experiences with the products made in china as they have no guarantee.they may be cheap but one looks for products that lasts long and is reliable.

Quite true. All over the world the markets are flooded with goods, "Made in China". Though these goods are use and throw type yet I find them useful because they come cheap. At least they serve the purpose. I wish if they could make them more durable. I think they try to reach out to that strata of the society who cannot afford expensive products, yet long for them. For an example their mobile sets are exceptionally good. I think China has the potentiality to put rest of the world 'Out of business".

Yes - God made the world with life in it - but Chinese products have no life in them.
We have to agree one thing that even though they do not have life, they are so natural to see and enjoy.
Here the most appreciable thing is technically they are the most advanced people and have captured the whole world. This is the what I found - and even at our place we come across several products made in china.

Because of the cheap labor and man power that's why they dominating the manufacturing industry that's why US needs to catch up in manufacturing sector. Like everybody say they are after the quantity but not quality at all times. I'm not generalizing all Chinese products but there's some products that are high quality.
