Last Night well at Evening, Gissi and I went for his last run on the Field as every Night, of course some of Gissi's Friends where there to Well there was another Dog there which we have seen often, but he just likes running around with this great big Stick in his Mouth and believe me it is big I would call it more a Branch lol His Owner told us that the Dog just loves to run around with this Branch Gissi barks at him when he charges past Gissi with this Branch, well we all know Gissi will voice his Opinion no matter what even to Great Dane Well last night as usual Gissi is voicing his Opinion to this Dog, who by the way is so cute, when the Dog ran towards Gissi with this branch in his Mouth, I did not know what was going happen but we knew he was not going for Gissi but we where not sure if he was going to run Gissi over lol, I was to far away to get there in time and when I say to far away I mean a healthy Person would have got there but not me, the owner of the Dog started towards them but next thing, the Dog stopped, dropped his Branch in front of Gissi, now the branch was quite thick and longer then Gissi, he just stood in front of Gissi wagging his Tail and looking at Gissi as if to say here you go I will share Well, Gissi looked at the Dog, then the branch and then at me as if to say 'How rude' but then the little Devil only went to lift his Leg on it, I told him no and while Gissi looked at me as if to say 'Why not, it is a Tree' the Dog picked up his Branch and ran of with it Gissi looked at the Dog running of with the Branch then he ran over to me jumped at my Legs as though it was my Fault the thing that made it worse is that Molly and Bonnie joined Gissi jumping up at my Leg barking at me, well I guess I was being told of I don't know why I was being told of, can anyone here tell me why????? What did I do?

Well, I'm not sure that Gissi was saying 'How rude!' It's a compliment, after all, when another dog offers you a game with his ... er .... tree! ('What a stupid dog! Can't he see I'm only little?' might have been nearer the mark ... but then I wasn't there to read Gissi's eyes). Lifting his leg was probably an entirely appropriate action both from Gissi's point of view and the other dog might have been surprised but would have entirely understood. Don't forget that 'Manners makyth man', but dogs march to the beat of a different drum! 'Marking' something may be a dog's way of saying "I accept, but it's too big for me, you dork!" rather than "Piss off!" You may have been being told off for being a dumb human who interfered with the proper protocol!

Oh yes, Barbara! That is it! Big Dog: "Please sign my stick!" Gissi (to Mum): "You know I'm an Internet star and you're my agent. Shall I?" Gabs: "Pardon? I didn't hear that." Gissi: [takes that as a 'yes' and gets out his 'pen'] Gabs: "No, Gissi!" Gissi: "What the heck! First I can, then I can't!" [runs back to complain] The Girls: [join in because it looks fun (they are somewhat blonde and mad about Gissi, anyway, because he's an Internet star)]

Guess who? Yes it is me I was going through my emails and this popped up so I decided to answer. I do not know why Gissi was blaming you for the other dog being so "rude". I guess Gissi and the other two dogs decided you would not hurt them if they barked at you. That is all I have to say except miss not having the time to be here with all of my friends. Love ya Teapotmommerced

lol, I don't know. It sounds like Gissi wanted to initiate that stick/limb. But the other dog wanted to share his stick with Gissi. He being a Big Boy just did not understand the difference in size between him and Gissi and the toys they play with. Gissi on the other hand, well that "toy" way a branch to be used for a general purpose and need, which was uh well needed at that time. lol And you said "no". The girls just were taking up for their guy. lol Mom, you did right though...looking out for the other guys "toy".

Hi gabs, Maybe Gissi wasn't angry with you at all but just wanting to tell you about the other dog. Just because you are his human doesn't mean that he expects you to understand things the way he does lol! I think that he was just saying I love you. Blessings.

I think Gissi and the girls were just telling you they loved you. I don't think they were telling you off. You have so much fun with your dogs...I enjoy hearing about Gissi and his friends. Have a great day, Gabs.

You interrupted Gissi's negotiation with the other dog. I am sure this was a very important business meeting and that is most likely why you got in trouble. "Peeing on the branch" was probably the same as shaking hands. This was an important cultural ritual that was disrupted. Yes, Gabs........you made a big mistake by speaking during this event. Kind of like talking while someone is teeing-off in golf. Next time, remain silent during the "Peeing on the branch" ceremony.

In the other dogs mind the branch was a present, but in gissi's mind the branch was a tree and tree's are for lifting legs on. So our gissi couldnt understand why he was be told not to use the tree. dogs are very logical in their minds. I do think its rather sweet that the bigger dog stood in front of gissi wagging his tail with a big branch, i'd love to have seen that.

Maybe he just felt like you should have told the other dog off for giving him a branch that was too big for him, idk...

Gissi was just showing who was leader of the pack. It's a wonder all the people in the park weren't falling over laughing. I would have been. Self confidence is not your dog's problem

oh how funny leave it to Gissi to make us smile and laugh, guess he thought that dog did not know what that big stick was for, so he had to show the other dog by lifting his leg and letting go. Gissi probably thought you had ruined his place for doing it again. So he jumps up at you saying mum thats a piece of tree, dont you know what trees are for?Oh I can just see all of them joining Gissi maybe Gissi had sent them a sort of message, come on jump on mum, tell her we wanted that tree. shes a spoilsport. so I guess he thinks you spoiled all his fun but he will soon be over it.he he, what a dog.He is yours comp;letely though so he will soon be telling its all right mum.
