Who's in charge?

Cats are very intelligent, clever creatures. They seem to do what they want, when they want. Though they can show a great deal of affection, they don't seem to have the faithful approach of dogs. What do you thing; are humans in charge or are the cats in charge?

all pets are the same. they are all just furry children who want attention and decent home.

The cats naturally love to think they are in charge. And, admittedly sometimes they are. (or, are they all the time and we think we are?_) Personally I think we're in charge, but when it pleases us we let them think they are.

My cat is queen of the household for sure. Even my dogs learned to respect her. In all fairness she's 15 years old now and deserves to be grumpy. She does what she wants when she wants. I feed her when she cries at me. I pet her when she sits on my lap and insists I pay attention to her. But she can be faithful too. She knows when I need company and she'll sit quietly by whenever I'm doing something on the computer or watching tv. She'll even let me cry on her if I need to. She loves to sleep next to me. But she does have those moments where she just wants to be left alone too.
