I have a suggestion that unusual, but it's working to to some people including my father. My mother always blow to the ear of my father every time he snoring, so he was looks shocked after my mom got blow his ear, but my mom was tell him before she did to him so my father didn't angry with what she has done to him. It was continue about 2 weeks, and after that, my father is totaly quit from his snore.
That techique sound weird, but with blowing to someone's ear who snoring will make some shock to the nerve that will control you from snoring.
I suggest you to ask your roommate for a help to blow your ear every time he get disturb with your snoring.

i think we could not control snoring.. remember when you sleep you lie down, and when you sleep lying down, your tongue will cover the air passage, the reason you snore because of it, the air is blocked by your tongue...
your roommate should understand you, you can not control snoring right away for it to stop just for them, it is natural...

Hello Kiran,
First you should check HOW you snore. Ask the annoyed roommate to stay up to see if you snore:
With your mouth closed
With your mouth open
Only on your back
On all sleep positions
If you snore with your mouth closed, the snoring might be caused by your tongue. If you snore with your mouth open, it might be related to the tissues in your throat. If you snore only on your back, then try sleeping on your side. If you snore in all sleep positions, your snoring is more severe.
If these suggestions do not work, I suggest you see a doctor.
