@tanjunie543 I wasn't escaping. I was just miserable with the job. Imagine, you're overworked & underpaid, and your employer was not even appreciative of your effort and threaten to fire you if you didn't work on weekends. It was just to much. I am not a robot you know. I need rest. @allamgirl I could afford to quit then since I have enough savings. Just keep yourself motivated, the important thing is you get paid. Stay positive. It's all in the mind.

I try to find a good hobby to take my attention away from the job. Me, I've done a little bit of crocheting, of course, I have the piano and that is a good distraction away from work. But, there is other things to that you might want to try like painting and artwork.

I know the feeling, but if you say to yourself I'm going to be on this instrument a certain time, try to stick to it. Me, I try to get on the piano after I had supper. And then I try to stay on it for an hour. It takes a lot of discipline and work when you are dealing with an instrument. But, it still is a good distration away from work.

i was in your situation. I felt so burned out with my work as well but really sometimes there is nothing much you can do about the stress... Or the feeling of being too tired.

Yeah, it's either you suck it up and stay or decide to make a change and go.

When I feel burned out, I try to sleep more. I take more vacation leaves. I ask friends to go out and drink. And of course I complain to my boss since more than anything, a boss will probably have a big impact on your burnout.

At times, I also feel burned out with my work. But I learned to manage it by having other things to do so that I won't get tired and bored with my work. I really cannot afford to lose my job because of the bills that needs to be settled monthly.

If I am burned out with my work, what I usually do is asked for my vacation leave. That is my escape everytime I am burned out. That would be the best time to relax and get some rest. I can only do that if I am out of town or out of the place that I am usually to. After vacation I am back again with my work with a totally new person with fresh personality and character. Its good sometimes that we need to take a break from everything that we all worry.

it's really hard to ask for vacation leave in my work, even if i do have the leave balance. i have to get someone to cover my shift, and sometimes even if we do get someone to cover our shifts, it still doesn't get approved. anyway, i just went out of town about a month ago and the refreshed feeling lasted for only about a week. :(

That would be sad to know, your company is so strict with the vacation policy. You seems really too exhausted with that job. Its no longer giving you a healthy lifestyles. Seems you are too much stressed out. If you have the chance to look for another job then I guess you need to do it. Its useless to stay in that job if you are too stressed out.

i know. it gets me stressed out so much, but i just can't find a job that i would like. sometimes i think that it would be better for me just to quit even i have no other job that's lined up at the moment.

When i'm all burned out for the day, i take shower to take out my body heat to help me relax. Then i just lay down the bed while i sleep very peacefully until the next day. Best day ever.
