Have you ever made a good friendship from chatting with strangers?

I am just watching Loose Women on TV and they asked this question.
Thinking about itI have, years ago when I was at school I made a lot of friendships after chatting with people I didn't know, I am still friends with a couple of them 40 years on!!

yes i do and chatting was not the only ways of our communication we even met in person even if they are from other countries and we are friends the first time i chat until now

I only chat when i wanted info on something but i've chatted this one girl. She was very friendly. She taught me how to bake cookies. It was the best day ever.

I made a great friend that i was in hospital with and we are both on facebook and we made friends when i had my first daughter and then she even started to work at the same place as i did.I have not seen her in along time,but we do stay in touch and it is great as now she maybe moving back down this end.

Ya I had a good friend like that. We were just chatting in yahoo chat during 2000. He was then married and was having a child. As both of us were in software field, me studying and he was working i could clear a lot of doubts. I have never seen him till now. One in a while we used to send mails each other. But he is a good friend for me forever. I cant forget him.

Yes, I did so too. I made a great friend too with the strangers online chatting and also just chatting. We were neighbours and our day started with a smile and later few decent words and now we are too a very good friend. He is very intelligent and cool personality. My friend is very nice and helpful. We together solve many problems and also discuss day to day issues. If he has any probs. he come to me and vice versa.

Yup friend i have made so many friendships with strangers who all are out of country means out of our nation. Till date i didn't see their face but they are my one of the best friends forever. Thanks for posting this discussion. Have a nice day.
