have you suffered from eczema? I have eczema and I am suffering this for two weeks now...It is a form of dermatitis or inflammation of epidermis. It is located in my right feet. Though it is like a coin size but it is aching terribly and sometimes itchy. I felt so depressed of this. Actually it all started a year ago and it is recurring over and over. I can't even go out for work... Thanks I have a laptop so I have time to do some online jobs... Do you have something to help? Actually, I just take cetirizine when it is itchy. I do wash it with baby soap and water only, no treatment at all. Is a certain food like seafoods, egg or eggplant a factor for itchiness?

My daughter has severe eczema - she is so itchy all the time and it just breaks my heart. She is now 5 and she's had it since she was like 2-1/2. It started in her inner elbows and then back of the knees . . . but now it's just kinda all over. The best description about it to me was that eczema is not a rash - it's an itch. But when you scratch it, it will become a rash. There are many things that will aggravate the condition, like for my daughter it's cat/animal hair or dust. Currently we are looking for better remedies. The doctors keep prescribing steroidal creams - and it's so bad. Sure it will make the eczema go away quickly - but only temporarily - and then it will come back with a vengeance . . . worse than it was before. We've tried the oatmeal baths, milk baths, olive oil baths, Vaseline, organic creams . . . lots of things - I can't say any one topical remedy has worked. I have heard that diaper rash ointments with zinc in it may be good, so we're trying that next. If anything, the skin has to be moisturized all the time. A humidifier at night seems to help too, especially since we live in a very dry place. I am reading that some say diets do affect it, other findings say it doesn't. My daughter's doctor is of the opinion diet does not affect it - but I don't know about that. They say dairy, soy, nuts, wheat and other stuff "may" be culprits - but perhaps not for everybody. I look online for forums where people who actually have eczema can chat about their findings. I don't even look on sites with definitions for eczema - it just gives textbook treatments for eczema - which don't necessarily help. Hope you find something that helps to relieve your eczema! Meanwhile, we are still looking to help my daughter as well.

vijiboopathy I have tried homeopathic medicines on myself - I truly believe they do work! Do you mean those teeny little balls that taste like sugar that go under the tongue? The thing is my daughter is a sweet tooth and I feel like she's going to crunch it down like candy . . . but yes, it's worth a shot. She is older now, so I should try.

i have it on my scalp and found that the sun does wonders to lessen the effects, i also use selsun blue medicated shampoo and that takes the itchyness away, its the bottle with the red medicated sign on it. my son uses the shampoo on his arms for his eczema and it works for him also. i dont get any worse signs because of the foods i eat so i cant direct you on that question. ive been put under gamma rays from the docs to try to lessen the effects but the sun works the best for me. the shampoo costs about 6 dollars but will last a month or more so it is worth it not to itch constantly.

Hi I have suffered from eczema for along time and it is most annoying when it itches. The one thing that I have found that really works well is E45 or if that isn't available an Aqueous Cream. Both these creams are really rich and help to add moisture and suppleness to the skin. As well as this the cream will add a protective barrier over the skin. Hope this helps
