I am on my 3rd year level in BS Accountancy right now but I'm still not so sure if I was really in the right course. I have difficulties in my accounting subjects but thanks God that I survived for the last semesters however in this past days I become doubtful. I am afraid not to make it this time and i am not sure if I am capable enough to passed the incoming CPA board exam.I lack confidence and so with the courage to pursue my degree.I have a lot of doubts in this course. i need your expert opinion guys on how to cope up with this. Thanks!

WOW! SO you are also taking BS Accountancy? WHat's it like? I am only a freshman and we have the same course. I am also taking BS Accountancy... Classes just started a week ago. I must say, I am having difficulties... It's good to hear that you are now in your 3rd year. Ihear there are accountancy students who don't reach 3rd year in accountancy since they have to shift. I hope I will also last... I am starting to get nervous. I hope you will do well in your studies. Fighting! HEHE!

First off, ask yourself if your happy with what your doing. If you are happy, then your on the right track. You can conquer everything as long as you love what your doing.

I had exactly the same sort of dielmma and feelings at the end of my Psychology degree. Thank goodness I stuck it out to the end. You have to be realistic here. You are in your third year. You have successfully completed two years. There is a great deal to wrry about in your final year. It's important not to let the nerves get to you. A few things you can do to help yourself. Get together with some people from your course and revise. A group of 4 works well together. Revise together for between 1 & 2 hours. One person chooses a past question. Everyone writes notes on how they would answer the question for 15 minutes. Discuss the answers for 15 minutes. Then go on to the next question. Choose easy and difficult questions. You will find that in the exam your mind will go back to what your friends said about the subject. When the set time is over, go out and treat yourselves. Try new ways of revising. Look for the PQRST method and mind maps (you dont need to buy software). It's important that you think about and reorganise some of the information you have. Pushing information in to your mind is one aspect of revising. Getting information back out again is just as important. It will give you confidence. Have a chat to a tutor. I'm sure that they will reassure you that this is normal for many students. Think realistically about the repercussions if you drop the subject. You have to start all over again, you don't know the alternative. You will be seen as a 'drop out'. Don't go there. It's a worse place to be than where you are now. We all have our doubts re courses we are on. You need to develop coping strategies to finish it.

Based from my experienced, my first course was BS HRM but after a year I decided to shift to another course because of some conflicts and I realize that it is not the course I belonged and so i decided to took up BS Compute Science. Actually, it is not also my first choice it's just that the course I wanted is already closed and because of the influence of my friend, I's rather took the BS Computer science course. The first two years is so hard for me, I had a of problems with programming and etc. But, I never give up, I pursue what I already started and you know what... I became one of the top 3 in our class with our programming language. My advice to you, is that there are times that we do things that we are not sure of... but if we do it with our heart, you will never regret that you did it. Also, you may consider different things like - you are already in your third year, I think it is not practical if you will change your course now unless you are rich enough to compensate with your tuition fees. Talk to people that will help you, that will encourage you.
