I have a really difficult time falling asleep. The first hour or so I flip flop on the bed trying to find a comfortable spot. I don't understand how my husband can lay so still. Most likely I don't get a good nights sleep. Food isn't an issue - I we eat anything it is popcorn and the food doesn't seem to bother my husband. This has started about 4 months ago. I used to be able to lay down and be asleep in about 10 minutes. It isn't that way anymore. When morning comes, sometimes I have a headache or my neck aches. If I knew why this was happening I would try to correct it, but what is doing this?

I really don't know but I know I have a terrible time sleeping and a terrible time getting to sleep so what I do is take a hot bubble bath and clean my room and then I will turn on the fan because I just can't sleep when it is hot or hear any little noise and the fan drowns the noises out and also keeps me cool and I have to take tylenol p.m. then I will turn on the t.v. but turn it way down and I can sleep so good and my husband is the same way he just falls right to sleep and I am fighting to go to sleep that's why I do all the things mentioned and it helps me sleep much better!!

As far as your neck is concerned, have you tried sleeping with a neck pillow? I've been sleeping with one for years and it really helps me. I had a lot of problems with my neck before I started sleeping with one. The chiropractor I was going to at the time recommended that I start sleeping with a neck pillow. I also used to sleep on my stomach all the time and he said that can put a lot of strain on your neck. You don't have any choice but to sleep with your head turned sideways when you sleep on your stomach. Now, I don't sleep that way at all. I hope you can find something that helps you. I don't sleep very well, either, and I have to take Tylenol P.M. to help me sleep at night.

Stress can play a big part in not getting to sleep , also Caffeine can keep you you awake as well. All in all the body needs to be asleep before midnight and should be a good eight hours and on top of that the room your in should be in total darkness ,because even a little light on DVD players ,Tv's can have an effect on your sleep.Heck Could even be Sleep Apnea??
