How much time do you invest to make your weekly online earnings?

United States
May 8, 2010 1:49pm CST
I was plugging away yesterday-trying to earn some extra cash taking surveys. I kept getting quota full messages...Finally after several hours, I made 5 bucks. I felt like it took me forever just to earn that. I've really been putting forth an extra effort these days to make money online-because jobs are few and far between-and it's sort of like getting free money-if you don't count all the time it took you How much time do you invest to get your weekly earnings here online?

OH I know the feeling sometimes I too question if I want to keep this going on. At times it is worthy if I don't have much to do. I sometimes spend about 10 hours doing all the online work between all the 10 sites I work with.

I've had people ask me why I bother...well when you make a good amount now and then-it really matters..but I was pretty upset yesterday, all that time...and only 5 bucks. But on the bright side-that's 5 more bucks I didn't have!! I think I'm on more than 10 sites right now

Oh yes I know what you mean. I too sometimes I just don't want anything to do with it. Well yesterday I posted 30 replies and comments here, go figure. I got 0.57 cents added to my running balance here LOL. Don't ask me how, cause I don't know, or better yet, yes ask me how so we can just sort it out too LOL. I am in 12 sites I think.

Depends on what I need to do. Sometimes I spend my whole day, but on some days, just a few minutes or so. Yesterday, I was quite busy doing this and that and the only time I had was late at night. But thanks to Sharon Bucks' tasks, I managed a few bucks in. Probably the best I had so far.

I've never spent a whole day, I think 5 hours once but it kills my neck to sit here so long. I'm a hyper person..can't sit for too long I tried a task for her one time-for a buck..I was excited..but then she rejected it. So I haven't tried any more of those.

I am on computer normally for work anyway. I'd just open a few sites and check them from time to time between work. On some days, I have to go around, like to the manufacturing unit or to see some suppliers; so I won't be able to log in. Anyway Rachelle, I could never sit 5 hours on a stretch. And my children will never let me have 5 hours on my own.lol

Hello Rachelle earning onlie is not as hard as it appears. I am a member of a site that pays you to post in forums sort of like mylot. They pay 10cent per post. It is not a scam. I have seen many payment proofs. If you add me as a friend i will send you the link to the site.

Thanks but no thanks! I don't need anymore to work at right now-It's taking me 10 or so hours a week as it is.

well, it only depends on that how busy I am during the week, because if I have 5 free hours, I can spend 2-3 from them for online earnings, but If i have only 2 hours a day, then I can spend only 1 for it!

I've had more time on my hands lately-I'm self employed and work has been drastically slow..so I'm all over trying to make a few extra bucks. I think I probably spend 10 hours a week online trying to make a few extra bucks

I'm just starting out and i know that means investing much more time. I'm alternating between signing up for new things, filling this out, and trying to do a little freelance writing. i seem to spend most of the day at the computer at the moment but lots of that time is wasted reading reviews and checking things are genuine. I hope to be able to spend about 6 hours a day on work but i'm realising i may only get a tiny reward for that. thankfully i love typing and reading but i'm not sure if my enthusiasm will last.

I had such a crink in my neck yesterday from sitting here..I also write articles now and then but I haven't been lately. I have ups and downs with enthusiasm also...I'll get really determined and sit here for hours-and then I'll give up for a day, then I'm back at it again

I do this also-every little bit counts-and this is where I've found good advice on how to make more money. A lot of mylotters with experience and good tips. I was surprised to see how many people have commented on this discussion-I think it's a record breaker for me!

Hi Reading the responses to this discussion makes me glad I don't do the PTA stuff :-) nowadays I spend in total maybe an hour or two a week updating and/or maintaining my sites. Of course if I want to set up a new one that may take an extra hour or so but since I enjoy doing it it doesn't worry me. And if I don't want to do it, well I don't have to, that's the bonus of doing what I do, once they're up and running they're earning for me whether I touch them or not. Of course having said that it has taken time to reach that point and initially I probably spent an hour or more each day getting it all up and running properly; researching, creating the site, adding content etc - but as time goes on you get quicker and quicker at doing it.

That's good, then you don't get as frustrated...I've become very motivated to make more money online so I've really been trying, but it's like anything-there's periods of ups and downs.

That's exactly what I'm shooting for...but the most I've made on a good month was $90 nowhere near what I'd like to make. I've been trying a lot harder and I think the perserverance will eventually pay off! I think it just takes a lot of time and persistance to make money

I try to go online every morning, during lunch breaks and when I get home from work, all in all,it's around 4 to 5 hours a day. Just enough to do some tasks and to leave some comments here in mylot. Recently though, I am quite busy with both my work and my personal life that I tend to cut off my time in the internet, but I'm still trying whenever I can, cause I need the money that I'm going to earn here.

I was that way also but then my work has slowed gradually to almost 3 days off-I'm trying to keep myself busy and money coming in...I don't want to go totally crazy with time on my hands I hope for the time it's paying off for you!

Hello, Rachelle. I don't really allot a specific number of hours in earning money online (by the way, myLot is the only site that I use for money-making ). It depends on the mood for me, LOL. When I'm not in the mood to MyLot, I don't log in. When I start to feel like my earnings are not going up, then that's when I compensate by responding to ten or more discussions a day. I know I need to do more because I am saving up for something.

That's a smart way to do it-work towards something not just for the money. I've just been trying to supplement my income. I came to mylot for the fun of it and didn't even know they paid. I'm really enjoying my time here and a lot of my posting as of late has been because I'm finding more things to ask and talk about. I've learned a lot from the members here!

I spend two hours a day on weekdays and more than 12 hours on weekends to earn online. The feeling is always up and down because there are time that legit sites eventually become scam overnight. I just enjoy it anyway and make the most out of those sites while they are still good. Member of more than 35 sites already. Income is not bad but I plan to have more. Will be cashing out from most of them before the month ends and I plan to include MyLot in my list. I know this site that pays a maximum of US$5.00 daily but you better hurry. You may PM me for more details.

That's like a full time job. I know the school payments thing can get overwhelming-I'm currently paying on my AABA degree I received two years ago. I'd like to make enough every month to cover all my bills (one day that will happen) Mylot is a fun way to earn money that's for sure!

No arguement here! 10 hours a week isn't too bad if you reap the rewards and I agree-referring really makes the difference.

On weekday i usually spend about two to three hours but on weekend it will be like eight to nine hours. I stop doing survey cos it takes lots of times, mostly 15 mins to 45 min. I have join more than 15 survey sign a year ago, have not reach minimum cash out or rewards in any of them. I think for international member, specially for asian region its not worth taking survey.

You'd think they'd want that though-they have to include opinions of every race and place I think. There are a lot of internationally accepting surveys but you have a point..once I took one that cost me an hour's time for $3 now that's a real wast I think.

I haven't kept up with how much time I spend earning on the internet. I just know that I come on mylot just about everyday to earn some and I do spend a lot of hours here. I don't mylot much on Sundays, though. I need some time off at least once a week. I'm thinking about signing up with neobux because I've heard so much about it here.

I've been spending more and more time here. I now come here daily also. I just signed up with Neobux the other day-I've made 15 cents in 3 days I think...which is fair. I'll keep it up as long as it stays at that rate. I really would like to up my earnings though-I have a few sites that are either sitting at the payout for months with very very slow earnings. I get frustrated but perservere because if I give up then I lose all the time and hard work.

Unfortunately I don't have much free time to make money online, so I invest just the neccessary ammount of time so it will be compatible with the rest of the things I have to do in a day. I'm earning slowly, but at least I'm earning. That's important too

This is true..I've been trying to make a part time income with the 3 days I'm finding myself unvoluantarily off-I'm self employed-so work has it's slow days. I guess even if it's slow earning-it's still money that's owed to you
