a letter to president noynoy aquino

Mr. President, to tell you the truth, I did not vote for you. Nevertheless, the election result proves to be the voice of the Philippines, and its people. I will respect the voice of the people. But this does not mean that it is the end. It is in fact but a beginning of your new life as president of this country. The Philippines is a wounded, and a scarred country. Beautiful, but scarred. Mr. President, I have high expectations of you. I pray that you continue to embark on that journey that your great father has paved for the Filipinos, with blood, sweat, tears, sorrow, joy, and even love, love so great that is beyond measure, priceless. Mr. President, you are now a father to a nation that has become so lost, so confused, so downtrodden, spiritless, listless, restless as to whether they would have jobs tomorrow, whether they would live to see a secure country, a roof over their heads. The Philippines is currently an adolescent that has lost its identity. In Erik Erickson's psychosocial theory, he would say that the Philippines has not met its developmental task of identity, instead it is wallowing in a pit of confusion. With the nation in adolescent, what does it expect from you? Well, much is expected from you, Mr. President. Now what does the adolescent Philippines want to see, hear, and want you to do? First, is to listen with all your heart. Do you hear a heartbeat flutter? Is there any heartbeat at all? Second, is to hear the adolescent Philippines' cry of anguish, a cry that can only be alleviated with reassuring words, "One day, all this will pass, and we will once again rise from the ashes of the past, like a glowing phoenix.". Third, is to see you act and be proactive, for the Filipino people, the helpless Filipino people, so that peace can be gained once more. You have a heavy task at hand, Mr. President. Prove to us that you can accomplish this, so that we can become a Filipino with pride once more, no longer hiding in the shadows...emerging as a great and proud, and a mighty Filipino to our fellow Filipinos and most of all, to the world.

Nice one :) My expectation for him is not high but now that the election is over, let us just unite and support him. I hope he will not fail the millions of filipino who believe in him and expected him to deliver them from the pit of poverty. To you Mr. President, I hope you prove me wrong for believing that you are just another politicians who is all talk and no substance, for believing that you are just riding the fame of your parents, for believing that you are all hubris. I hope you will work hard and take the presidency seriously unlike you're 3 terms in congress and 3 years in senate which not even a law you have passed. Goodluck and Godbless to you, I hope that you will be a good president as what you have promised millions of Filipino who believes in you.

I would say a very nice letter for a non Noynoy supporter. I think this is the better approach to something out of our reach. I hope your letter would be heard by the president so that he can at least be given inspiration in performing his duty to our country. I truly believed that We remain to be divided if people would not separate themselves to their chosen candidates and continue to bash our country because their chosen candidates did not win. We should start anew as the voice of the people was seen already and the conduct of counting seems to be fast and efficient already and has been counted with utmost accuracy.

Let us hope that he can deliver what he promised to deliver to us. Unfortunately, right now, we can never be sure what he can really deliver. Let us give him the chance for now.

Thank you for your reply. The Filipinos have made their choice, the majority have spoken. I hope he becomes proactive for the Filipinos.

this has got to be a joke, If noynoy aquino doesn't even read wall post in his own facebook fan page, how on earth can he read this one. i suggest you copy paste this in his own fan page so that those blind fans can get to comment on this. and probably be seen by kris herself read this. you can even put it in the ANC or ABS CBN fan page so that the media will read it

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't mean for this to become a nationwide thing, I just wanted to express my greatest expectation of Noynoy Aquino, because I know that he will win despite the fact that I voted for someone else because it is what the Filipino has said. I cried at the fact that his father did so much to put the Filipino people at the top. Now I just hope that he does not fail us.

I praise you successfully composing such a good, beautiful letter for President Noynoy. The next thing you need to do is, invite him to become member of MyLot so he will be able to read the letter and get your message. Send him your MyLot referral link and have him sign up here!

HiLiz, That's a great letter to our new President. But I doubt if he will ever read it. It would be better if you will send it to Kris,I'm sure she would love any feedback about his brother's winning. Well, as a citizen all we can do is to pray for our officials that God will lead their heart and say NO TO CORRUPTION. Let' us find out then, what will be the CHANGEGod bless.

you have a very good letter, post it in facebook, and send it over to abs-cbn too.. i think they will feature your letter as the first one to acknowledge him as the president even the counting is not yet done and no one has been proclaimed yet.

That's a nice letter you made! I did not vote for him too, my vote is for the glory of the Lord. I'm still not convinced that he is capable to be president. He keep saying "No To Corruption" but almost everyone around him is a vulture waiting to torn him to pieces. I will give him a chance but I will not expect that he would make a difference. The Lord has a great plan for the Philippines but our president is not one of them. I'm hoping the Lord God will continue to bless us even though we did not follow his will! God Bless the Philippines! God Bless the Filipino people!

hello lizbenetua! I am one that idolize elected new president of the Philippines. My choice is him cause I can see his sincere concern and pity to all poor Filipinos. I am sure that all his promises will made specially that he was elected now. So happy and grateful that my bet was the winner. And it is supported by almost Filipinos this mean that people want a change like America too. I wish all the luck for him that he will do his duties with all his power and obligations to please the people in the Philippines as what he always promised in the campaign period and flatform.

I did not vote for Noynoy as well. But since majority of the votes has been counted, there's nothing more that we could do but be grateful that Joseph Estrada did not win. We should all support the new president and stop being so pessimistic about his win. Seriously, I think Noynoy will do his best to serve the country not just because he wants to honor/continue the legacy of his iconic parents but because he truly wants to uplift the lives of the Filipinos while carving his own name in history. Good luck Mr. President. Prove to all Filipinos, specially those who did not support you (like myself) that we made the wrong choice of not shading the elongated circle beside your name.
